That would be Cheeto.

He wore it the whole weekend. It was so great.

OMG. Chicken Joust. So awesome. I am just ACHING I wasn't there. Dig the tent setup too!!!!

Note for the future when you inevitably try this: level ground is probably best. Also, watch out for any structural supports like wires that could make a convenient garrote.

You really did nearly lose your head there. And with your knees in Oily's ears, I don't think he heard us all shouting to him to stop. That would have been a fun one to explain to the insurance company!

A beheading at a castle? Surely that's covered.

Via tent wire, whilst riding a penguin into a musical grand melee?

You mean to tell me there isn't a clause in your insurance contract for that? I'm surprised

This isn't our first rodeo

Please don't try that at home. Remember, we're professionals.

At some point I will put up a formal apology for my teammates on House Murdoch for my performance at the Super Mario Bros. 3 competition. I feel like I let you all down.

Even though there are plenty of people to thank and appreciate. I'd like to poit out all those willing to make the hour plus drive to pick up those of us that we're flying in, some multiple times a day Jake, Bill and others that I'm not aware of.

Every time I heard professional this weekend it wasn't in reference to joust chicken fighting, it was at the bar.

Oh good. You got the one where Michelle hockey checked me into the tent. That was definitely the joust memory I was hoping to preserve

I'm pretty sure my bar tab supports those claims quite well, tyvm.

Joust let me learn that Boogle picks on small women. And despite the shining armor, Pyroman lets it happen.

Also, sharing a little pipe smoking moment with the rest of the ruling class while the commoners jousted for our amusement was great.

Hey guys, one brief serious request amidst the suicidal penguin rides.

It dawns upon me that as most of you didn't actually have reservations under your own name, you won't get the standard Ravenwood Castle "Thank You" email.

So first: Thank You. Thanks for staying with us, we enjoyed having you here.

Second, if you have Ravenwood specific feedback, please feel free to email it to feedback at ravenwoodcastle.com. That comes right to me, and I promise I read them all.

Even better, if you enjoyed your visit, please take a moment to leave us a review on TripAdvisor.com or BedAndBreakfast.com. Those reviews are really important to us, for a whole host of reasons.

Thanks again, and I return you to your regularly scheduled posting.

And hey I made it to Austin.
Quote of the weekend: Oklahoma oil change.

Wait, I thought it was just oil check. Was there a whole oil change conversation I missed?

Boogle would like to illustrate for you upon your next meeting. The old OOC is a real eye opener.

Folksy wisdom.

Driving 33% of the way on Wednesday broke up the drive nicely, and it gave me time to realize that Jaser had *no* idea what he had gotten himself into.

I guess I am a trusting fellow. My Trust in Atras was not misplaced. I had a wonderful time. It is amazing how quickly I felt at home at PenCon. This a wonderful community. I promise to spend less time lurking and more time playing.

Breakfast & Cards Against Humanity is a great way to wake up in the morning. We are all going to hell for that, but it was worth it.

Artimus was the defining moment of Friday, Friday evening, and way too late Friday night.

Special thanks to Atras, Trueheart, Quixotic.June, Michael (Complex's Friend). I will die heroically in a fire with you guys and gal anytime. Triple Fireman relay for the epic Flash Point near win.

A big thank you to the Ravenwood and GWJ staff going above and beyond who made this weekend so enjoyable!

Time for some shout outs.

First off thank you to Oily for starting all this madness 3 years ago. Brian you started something incredibly special and, I thank you for letting me be a part of it. I can't wait to see what the future holds for PenCon.

Teneman, you have an amazing place and, I can't wait to visit more once I move back to Ohio. The entire staff was awesome; they would have to be, to put up with all of us all weekend.
Chef Mary hit the ball out of the park on every meal. The young ladies that that were the servers/bartenders all weekend deserve a pay raise; they showed nothing but professionalism and smiles all weekend. I can't believe they put up with all of us drunk/half drunk nerds for that long. Thank you for allowing us into your home castle away from home.

Monocheli/Mrs Mono/MiniMono, you guys run a tight ship for Teneman. I felt right at home the entire time I was there. A special thank you goes to Mono for waiting up until 3:00am to let me in after all my flight delays Wed. If I didn't have to fly back I would have tried to smuggle some of that apple butter home.
Mono thanks for taking time to teach me a few new games; I had a blast playing the first run through on your Mice and Mystics.

The rest of the PenCon staff, as always you guys knocked it out of the park. Hopefully you guys were able to enjoy the weekend as much as I did. I look forward to working with you all again next year.

Complex and his friend Mike, thank you for introducing me to Flash Point: Fire Rescue. I fell in love with that game and played the hell out of it all weekend. I had a blast hanging out with you guys on Thursday while we waited for everyone to show up. Mike, you may not know it but, "One of us, one of us, one of us!"

To the rest of the Thursday night group thank you for introducing me to Cards Against Humanity; it confirmed to me that we all are wonderful(ly twisted) people.

quixotic.June aka Genevieve, to me you will always be Boom Boom Betty. I think if the graphic design business doesn't pan out for you, you have real potential as an arsonist (not so much as a firefighter though)
SuperDave you have found a special one there; I hope you can keep up with her.

obirano, DanyBoy, SixteenBlue, I'm glad you were all able to make it even with a bunch of delays all around. We really had to scramble to rearrange plans at the last minute; with limited cell phone reception at the castle it was fun. Dany hopefully my driving didn't scare you too much.

A big shout out to Jake and Cheeto for making most of the airport runs; you guys rock.

Bill Abner from Conquistador Games, thank you for taking time out of your schedule to demo some games for us. I wish you could have spent more time with us and maybe play some games that weren't your own. I look forward to seeing what you guys come out with Next.

Atras, JaSeR, Trueheart, JollyBill, Connie, Tanglebones, KittyLexy, Strangeblades, Lasher, Keldar, Blue, Kilanash, Mantid, and anyone else I shared a game with thank you for everything. It was so nice to spend time with everyone that attended.

There are so many others that made the weekend phenomenal, that I can't find the words to express it all. Thank you all for taking the time to come out to the middle of nowhere Ohio and, share a long weekend of gaming with me. This community never ceases to amaze me.

Just dropping in to say +1 to the last billion posts here.

I had a great time. It was great to find out that a lot of the insane IRC people actually do exist in real life, and aren't just bots.

Uploading videos at the moment and catching up on work.

I'll have a full report, and raft of thank you's, some time tomorrow.

Everything + 1 (except the OOC).

It says a lot that I was in more shock going back to work at my 3 year old job today than playing Cards against Humanity in a castle with internet people on Thursday night. Real life can be a cruel mistress, but I'm glad for the great time this weekend. Thanks everyone.

Last weekend was too short. Too much fun guys! I'm glad I was able to come out and hang out with you all!

INSANELY jealous that I wasn't able to make it this year, but very glad to see that everything seemed to go so well! By hook or by crook, I'm going to make it next year. Even if I have to call off work the entire weekend.

Been reading the reports and watching the google+ page with all the photos and videos. And by golly, next year I will be there. Also thinking that Castle Awesome might be a great time to visit with family before next years PenCon.
