Borderlands 2 Catch-All

Buffalo is. Tumtum is a prefix that may or may not be applied to a Buffalo.

Here's a Tumtum Callipeen (apologies for the size, it's not my photo):

Tumtum Callipeens are prized by some snipers because of the high fire rate married to high critical damage bonus. IMO, if you wanted something like that, you're better off with a Razrez Pooshka.

Here's an exceptional example of a Tumtum Muckamuck:

I'm beginning to doubt that The Warrior even has any orange drops... 75 kills, not a single orange. Grr.

The Orange from the Warrior will fall in the lava sometimes or underneath his carcass.

Found this on Reddit. It may just be sensationalist link bait, but if it isn't then it's worth knowing about.

http://bgbureau.com/3481/warning-bac...

The short version:

I guess hackers have somehow (maybe intentionally?) created a glitch (virus?) that ruins save games. The details are in the link, but the short version is don't play with people you don't know (or with people who might have been infected) and backup your save games if you can.

Apparently this is affecting both the PC and Xbox versions, but maybe not the PS3 version (yet).

F*cking hackers.

That happened to me with Borderlands 1, although it may have just been a bug. I back up my save files during every play session every once in awhile. I've actually stopped playing with people who aren't on my friends list, but you never know about friends of friends joining in.

I got an orange grenade from him earlier.

Was it delicious and full of vitamin C?

I got my Legendary Soldier mod out of him. Never saw another like it. It is godly - way better than Slayer mod.

Yeah, Nyx and I got an orange grenade off him the first time we killed him... was one of the worst grenades I've seen for that level.

The first time you kill the Warrior, ie the story line mission, you should get a legendary drop. Annoyingly, if it lands under the body, odds are you aren't going to get it. You can try running through the previous area (if you are lucky, the respawn hasn't started, otherwise you need to clear as you go.) Then, when you zone into the Warrior's lair, the Warrior's body should be gone, so should all the trash loot, leaving the greens and above. That is, if the game doesn't crash as you try to zone in - that's happened several times now, both solo and multi.

After that, when farming him, the legendary drops are few and faaaaaaaaaaar between. Very low percentage drop rate.

Farming the Warrior is great for useful high quality purples (both at the end of the normal run, and TVH), eridium and cash, but nothing higher. Oh, and decent exp, if you want to try for a few levels while farming for gear before trying TVH.

Unfortunately from what I understand, farming the warrior is the only way to get the conference call shotgun. Le sigh...

Some legendaries are more common than others. The Conference Call is notoriously hard to find, but Slayer mods are a dime a dozen. Killing Terra will get you one guaranteed each time, or near enough:

I use them as vendor trash to buff money on lower level toons. Anybody want one, just PM, though it is easy enough to get than anyone should be able to get a Slayer mod on their own.

Little convenience thing people might not be using:

You don't have to deploy your vehicle at the Catch-a-Ride, especially if you die off of it and respawn somewhere inconveniently far. Teleporting to your deployed vehicle will allow you to save time traveling. Essentially vehicles are mobile teleport locations accessed from Catch-a-Rides.

A common trick to use is to spawn a second vehicle near the Fast Travel point, and then use another vehicle to actually go to your objective. Once you're done, just drive to the nearest Catch-a-Ride, teleport back to the second vehicle and access Fast Travel from there.

.... 48 hours without playing a session. Longest I've gone without since launch. Not sure how I feel about that.

I was finally able to find a possible solution to my stuttering problem. For some reason, my FPS will take a quick plunge every couple minutes. It's quite annoying. It may be a conflict with the Logitech mouse drivers. Bleh.

I found these last night. I don't know if they'll be useful. I wonder if the Neogenator will be good against Master Gee the Invincible.

Old Slappy dropped the shotgun, and the shield dropped from Spycho. The shield dropped on the first run. The shotgun dropped after about 3 tries.

You're a damned lucky guy, you know that, tuffalo?

Argh, I am not pleased. Without spoilers: I fought my way to a key boss area near the end of the game. I came to a quicktravel station and thought, hmm, let's do some more side quests since I'm almost levelling up. Never does it tell me that was a 1-way quicktravel station! I just found out I have to fight my way through this area again! Sigh...

Well, I think the secret for me is to not farm any one thing for more than 5 times at this point. For some reason, it always seems like you can get lucky in the first 5 tries if you haven't farmed something. That's probably just my imagination, though. Sticking with 5 tries keeps things from getting too boring. The strategy guide is nice for knowing where things are. That combined with YouTube will give you a good idea on how to best spend your time. I was actually farming Old Slappy for a grenade mod when that shotgun dropped. I had no idea he would drop it.

Here's what I'm wondering. I'm thinking of saving any Seraph crystals that I get until the level cap gets maxed out. My guess is that they'll go to level 69 again. I would assume you would be able to use them to get possible level 69 weapons that may show up. It's time consuming enough with the once a day only farm that you might as well just save them.

It does, there is a no u-turn sign at the top in orange. I have made the mistake as well.

I made the same mistake and lost all my progress on

Spoiler:

rescuing Roland

Also, last night I came across my new favorite quest

Spoiler:

SHOOT ME IN THE FACE! IN THE FACE!

I got my first Bee shield yesterday, which gave me enough power to one-shot that boss and farm a few more. Now I'm rocking a level 8 Lascaux SMG just because it puts a lot of bullets downrange and its base damage is totally irrelevant. Kind of breaks the game but what can I say, I love one-shotting stuff.

Mine too. Said it a few pages back, but it's always fun to see others enjoy it too.

Do you have a Sham Shield, tuffalo? Been farming that forever from BNK with no luck. I'm open to trades, though I think you've already got most oranges I got. I'd like to shift my toon to a more defensive posture. Bee is nice and all but I'd like to actually feel the differences between my guns.

Anyone mind answering a DLC question for me?

I'm playing coop with a buddy and our plan was to play through the main game first before playing through the DLC content. My question is about the scaling. We are currently level 9, but fast traveled to Oasis, not realizing that it was the DLC content. Traveling there automatically initiates a quest with a level of 15. At this point is the entire DLC content scaled to that level or just the first mission? Can we safely just ignore it and come back after we've played through the main story content? If we do so, will it properly scale to our new levels then?

Thanks

There, I have finished my first playthrough, mostly single player. I ended the campaign at level 34 with my commando. I'm kinda done with it for now, maybe I'll come back to it, playing in coop only with my recently created mechromancer. But there's other games to play right now. I did enjoy it very much, the fact that I put over 40 hours into it in the last 3 weeks says it all for me, I have a habit of not finishing games.

I haven't tried farming him yet. I believe he is also supposed to drop a legendary SMG or something. I can't recall. I actually went over to the area to look for him, and he wasn't there. I never got around to figuring out how to make him spawn.

Yeah, I'd definitely like a defensive shield. Wouldn't mind getting the Hide of Terramorphous shield, but I haven't been able to get that to drop.

All you have to do is ask, tuffalo.

One of these days, I'll catch a game with ya. Are you liking it?

The nova blast when it's depleted is pretty cool and everything in the blast radius is on fire. Fast recharge and fire spike damage to those pesky ninja pirates. I use it to get to a boss I'm farming then switch to the Bee to take him out.

The dlc was designed to start at 15, from there it scales up based in where you are in the story. I would recommend going back and fourth between the 2 in the first play through, and after the end of TVHM. I finished the game at level 34 but all the missions capped at 30, all my weapons seemed overpowered and the story was a tad too easy. It is unfortunate that one cannot really fight raid bosses in pt1.
