DDO Orien server catch all - Static Group nights Tuesday and Thursday 8PM EST

I deleted the file and am reinstalling now.

Ok, deleting that file worked. Reinstalled and it started up. I had the choice of running in DX10 mode which I did and it is still working:) Thanks everyone for the help!

I'll probably be playing Dishonored on my xbox tonight, so even though DDO is now working again, I'll be otherwise occupied;-) Still only level 3 though:(

I have a load of work to get caught up on, so I am not going to be able to make it, which is probably obvious, since this is getting posted half an hour after we usually start...

Sorry guys, I am exhausted and am going to be early tonight.

FYI: there seems to be a patch.

I have to do a conference call for some contract work tonight, so I won't be on. Hopefully, Zera will be around so you won't be stuck without a PC cleric.

I wanted to post to put forward some short term goals.

First I want to see if we can get enough people on at once to attempt the Vault of Night raid again. Would either next Tuesday or Thursdays work for everyone?

I also wanted to see if we can plan some time to work on alts so we can help Rainsmercy level and have more class options that we can switch to on nights when people are missing. do we want to dedicate either Tuesdays or Thursdays to start getting some alts caught up to the main group. Or do we just want to setup another time for alts and have it more casual as a show up if you feel like it. If we go with the second option is there any particular day that works best?

Thinking of going premium, and making a drow for more points provided it works that way? Otherwise, have Friday morning off from my day job, so going to work on leveling a bit.

If you're after more stat points, pony up for the 32pt builds over rolling a drow.

As for VoN, pick a night and I'm game. Same goes for an alt night.

Here of late I've been swallowed up in other stuff of recent release, but still get that want of DDO.

Also a little advice after all the research/pain I've gone thru.

- Every character you make needs at least 12 CON to start, preferably 14, especially if you're new to the game. Ignore all other advice on this, just put at least 12 CON nothing lower, you will never regret this decision.

- Plan out your character using the Builder Make sure you read up on what Prestiege class you want and plan this character up till level 20, then follow the plan. This is a pain and work up front, but trust me it's nothing compared to the frustration you'll face later on when you find you don't qualify for this or that enhancement.

The reason people don't like Drow is because it has -2 Con to start which kind of negates most racial bonuses. Eg. if you made a Wizard Drow, the +2 Int, -2 Con cancels each other out. But then again a lot of this min/max talk you will read about is only applicable when you reach level 20.

Still 1,495 TP for the 32 build vs 995 TP for the Drow? Get the 32 point build, unless you really want a Drow , then ignore all I've said There's no substitute for seeing that Twin Scimitar wielding Drow in green cape with Gwen in game.

I really, really want to get back to the group, but I have been having a hard time getting clear of my kids until after 10, sometimes 11 most nights. I still have a low-ish level (5) Druid who I wouldn't mind getting more time in with to help people catch up, assuming I am free. Feel free to shoot me a Steam message if you don't see me playing anything, and I will join you if I can.

This will be more important when we hit November. I volunteer at a community theatre doing lights, and that happens Tuesday and Thursday nights; so will preclude me from DDO'ing for pretty much all of November. An extra Trapper would be essential then. I'll try to keep Majeure up to level on off nights.

Ok, so before I get too attached to Milora, i'll buy the 32 point build Friday. Any classes we could use the most? My trapper is currently level 3, would be willing to make a different one. What is the best race? Currently using a halfling.

I'm in favor of sticking to Tuesdays and Thursdays, and picking one of those nights to be for alt levelling. I like playing Mairghread, but it's playing with you people that's the draw.

Pick a night, Arovin, for the VoN raid, and I'm fine with it.

Seconded.

I can't help but play my druid solo occasionally though. Too much fun.

OK here is the plan then: Next Tuesday alts and and low level content. Next Thursday VoN raid if we get enough people.

I have to stay late at work tonight for patches. I am uncertain if I will make it home in time to play.

I will buy a 32 point buy tomorrow, decide what class i want to play, buy an exp elixir and see how far I can level the new char before Tuesday.

Now VIP and bought a 32 point build, name is Rainsmercy, level 1 rogue, level 1 almost 2 Fighter specializing in 2 handed fighting. Can someone send an invite please?

Invite sent.

Thanks! Now level 1 rogue/2 fighter.

Not sure I'll be on tonight, too much to do, tomorrow night I have a previous engagement, I almost forgot about.

So on tonight after all.

Thanks to Bulwark(whoever you are on GWJ) and Arovin for grouping with me, was a blast!

Bulwhark was me. It was fun, glad you could show up!

Yah, thanks again Mousetrap! Might possibly be on again tonight, but not until probably 8:30 or 9pm central.

I'll be at work tonight. But the mabar event I think should be live.

Mabar event is postponed until next week. But they are doing a 31% bonus in XP until the 31st

Cool, maybe I'll get some time in and get to level 4 or higher, think I am working on tier 4 towards level 4.

So my laptop seems completely boned. I'm going to try using a repair disc once I can get one but I am not optimistic. If I can't get it running I will probably be off DDO for a month or so.
