Just got Clarkatello's box-o-goodies!

IMAGE(http://i.imgur.com/Kayvv.jpg)

Here's the run down (from L to R):

Terrapin Moo Hoo (Chocolate Milk Stout)
Red Brick Double IPA
Terrapin Hop Karma Brown IPA
Sweet Water IPA
Terrapin Rye Pale Ale
Terrapin Hopsecutioner IPA (64oz jug!)
Thomas Creek Appalachian Amber Ale
Terrapin Monk's Revenge (Belgian Style IPA)
21st Amendment Brew Free or Die IPA
x2 Mystery Homebrews
x1 Mystery Brew from a local brewery in his area

Wow, what a haul. Thanks a bunch, Clarkatello! Can't wait to dive right in.
[Reviews to follow]

Oh, Moo Hoo...was Clarkatello hoarding?

I got fleabagmatt's stuff, but haven't had a chance to even open the box yet.
I'm running to one more place this afternoon to grab a beer or three for his shipment, and will get it out tomorrow at some point.
Stupid moving is eating up all my time. I haven't even played TF2 in like a month.

No TF2 and no beer make Phishposer something, something.

Well, Norfair's ridiculously generous gift came today safe and sound! He even through some personal notes about the different beers which I appreciate.

Imgur seems to be having issues right now, so hopefully that works well enough. Click through for a big version.

Well, all the beers are gone.

Here are notes I wrote down while trying them!

1. Lakefront Bridge Burner - This was very nicely hoppy and malty. It got a little creamy as it warmed up, too. I quite enjoyed it.

2. New Glarus Spotted Cow - Yum! Crisp, light, and refreshing.

3. New Glarus Staghorn - I could drink this all day and love it. Great Oktoberfest beer.

4. New Glarus Blacktop - This black IPA was had super floral-ey hoppiness and managed not to be particularly bitter. It's definitely one of the best black IPAs I've had.

5. New Glarus Cherry Stout - This was probably my favorite of the bunch. I haven't had anything like it. It sorta tastes like a cherry tootsie pop without getting too sweet. It sorta had some cinnamon/nutmeg type flavors in there, too. It's an amazing desert beer. My roommate just went to Wisconsin in an odd coincidence and I actually asked him to look for some more. He didn't find any.

6. New Glarus Double IPA - Fairly bitter off the bat but with a tangy citrus finish. Actually quite refreshing because of the finish.

7. Bell's Two Hearted Ale - This IPA wasn't very hoppy, and I thought it had a bit of a pineapple flavor to it. Great stuff.

8. Capital Brewery's Octoberfest - This seemed pretty great, normal Oktoberfest. It had a nice subtle spiciness to it.

9. Capital Brewery's Hop Cream - This was like a Pale Ale with a creamy finish. Pretty good.

Oso Brewing's Nighttrain - This was really odd. It seemed much more carbonated than beers normally are. The carbonation level was closer to a soda. At any rate, it was nicely smokey and roastey tasting.

11. Furthermore's Fatty Boombalatty - Looks like I forgot to write something about this one. Maybe I had a few too many.

12. Furthermore's Three Feet Deep - I didn't really like this one. The smokey flavor was really strange to me. It was kind of plastic-ey tasting to me. I get the same thing with Kimchi which is one of the few foods I don't like. That being said, I like to find beers like this that I don't like. It always keeps things interesting. I would hope that I wouldn't like everything.

And on that downer note. Thanks so much for everything! It was great fun.

Edit: I remember the Boombalatty now that I just looked at the picture. That was a Belgian. It might have been a bit banana-ey for my tastes, although I think I'm starting to warm up to that particular flavor in Belgians.

Trashie sent me a bottle of New Glarus Spotted Cow for the spring GBE and I remember thinking that it would be the perfect summer beer. Very refreshing.

I posted this in Parallax's thread but thought I'd post here also. Me and Dr Awkward enjoying a TallGrass IPA. This stuff is tasty!!

Maybe not relevant, but I spent the day at Jester King's Funk and Sour fest.
So much delicious beer. Oh and tasty brick oven pizzas. It was a good day.

Came home to an amazingly large box at the doorstep. It took me next to forever to unwrap all of them, they were packaged well Thanks EvilHomer3k!

Hop Sutra was one of my favorite from last year's exchange- lucky you.

This picture, with the 24 hours run in the background, is phenomenal.

I've been slacking as this arrived on Saturday, direct from Squee9.

I've also been slacking- here are the good that boogle sent me (sorry the pics suck- I hate my iphone camera + need to change a couple of lights in the room):

In the back left you can see the package I will be sending boogle's way early next week. And, finally, a homebrew of Saison boogle made

So far I've had the Native Amber, and it was delicious.

The native amber is good. I liked that from what Boogle sent me as well. Did he send you any of the Horny Toad? It's kind of like Corona but good. I thought it was very unique and very tasty.

Came home from work to find a Halloween treat on my doorstep from Phishposer.

The goodie list:

Triple Digit - Decimation (wheat wine style ale)
Triple Digit - Aftermath )(Scottish style ale)
Dreadnaught - Three Floyds Ale (Imperial IPA)
Ale Asylum - Hopalicious (American Pale Ale)
Mt Carmel - Harvest Ale
Capital Brewery - Oktoberfest
Tyranena - Hop Whore (Imperial IPA)
New Glarus - Moon Man Ale (Pale ale)
Lake Louie - Dino's Dark
Furthermore - Fallen Apple Cream Ale

I know he finally had a chance to open the package that I sent him because he sent me my box back. :D.
Looking forward to trying these soon.

Interesting side note: A few years back I participated in a graphic design forum. I recall one member posting images of design work that she did for a brewery. It was Furthermore. If I'm remembering correctly her screen name was Lake Louie.

Unfortunately the Horny Toad's that a buddy brought me from OKC disappeared. Into my belly.

Woo it made it!
The Triple Digit stuff is made by my former local homebrew supply shop (Listermann). Gonna miss those dudes now that I'm in WI.
If you haven't had any Three Floyds stuff before, you're in for a treat. Technically they're an Indiana Brewery (near Chicago).
The Ale Asylum Hopalicious is one of my all-time favorites. It's a nice bright APA, well balanced and heavy on the Citra hops. They've just expanded to a new location here in Madison, and I can't wait to swing by for a tasting or ten
Anyway, I finally got around to taking a shot of what you sent me:

I'll post impressions when I'm ready. There looks to be some good stuff there.

Irish Death on tap is one of my favorite things. Yum.

That Heather wasn't originally among the selection I had picked for you. I happened to be trying one as I packed your box up for shipping and I liked it so much I ran out and got one for you to try. It's a lighter beer with a really interesting flavor.

And the first time I tried that 1982 I bought it just because I liked the label so much.

Now i feel like a dope, living in Yakima and never having been to Yakima Craft Brewing. Need to remedy this. Next exchange, i'll do an all YCB package.

A) No B) Don't let Sean Sands hear you say that.

Here's my stuff from Jucofett! The Nike story was a nice touch.

Nice! I don't think I've had any of those except for maybe the Heater Allen and the Proletariat Red.

What brew is the Heater Allen? I can't quite tell.

Edit: Either I was way zoomed in or you changed the picture. I'm pretty sure I was just too zoomed in on my laptop. I have also had the C-Note. Anyways, nice score.

Love C-Note. Haven't come across LSD in bottles yet, hope they do that someday. It's always a good visit to Lompoc when they have C-Note or LSD on nitro.

The Heater Allen is their Dunkel.

My plan is to drink more of these while grilling today.

Finally got around to posting this collection from brouhaha! Great stuff! The vanilla aged stout was amazing, as was the day mark pale ale. The shipyard ipa was nicely full-bodied without being over hopped. Thanks again! Can't wait for next time!

The Wild Hare and Ruby Redbird were great. Specifically enjoyed how unique the Redbird was. Still working on my beers, throwing one into an evening here and there- but those two beers have stood out so far.

Lester_King! I promise I didn't forget about you!

I should be back in the states by Dec. 4th and I'll do my best to get a package out that weekend

I ain't even mad, man!

I'll plan to get a package out that weekend as well unless your stay is extended. Just stay safe and keep me posted.

Jonnypolite, get thee to Yakima Craft Brewing! Stopped by there after a mountain bike ride today, good stuff from the taps. They didn't have any seasonal stuff in, but the normal rotation stuff was great.

I'd send you a package from here but all we've got are Saint Pauly's NA or Kronnenberg... NA

Tempting!

I'm thinking I'll go with the original plan of waiting a little while for good beer.

As god is my witness, I will get this stuff packed up tonight and shipping tomorrow. On the plus side, since it's taken so long I think I've added another $20 to the shipment =)
