What are you playing this weekend?

Had to look at the image names for both of those Garden Ninja.

Huh. I would have thought Dragon Age would be recognizable.

Dangit... why did I open this thread? Now I want to play Dragon Age right now.

Every Western fantasy game looks identical. You didn't honestly think we could spot a specific one, did you?

Actually, yeah, I thought Dragon Age specifically was popular enough that it would be recognized.

Although, mostly I was thinking the Ogre design was iconic enough that it would tip people off, but that screenshot does a crappy job at showing that design off.

Hey, I recognized it. (I'm not sure why Clocky thinks Western RPGs all look alike?)

I skimmed past it real quick and thought he was playing that new HD Baldur's Gate myself.

Which would basically mean Dragon Age did as it intended.

I also never played Baldur's Gate and I played Dragon Age on Xbox so there's that.

Take your pick:

a.) I'm not familiar with them or excited by them, so the fact that they all draw deeply from the well of Tolkien and D&D for their art style causes them to blur together into a homogenous smear of cloaked thieves, bow-toting rogues, and plate armor with big shoulder pads and matching two-handed sword in nearly identical Medieval castles and rat/goblin-infested caves.

b.) I'm a troll.

I will gladly accept either answer as valid.

Never played or looked at dragon age aside from 15 mins of the demo for 2.

I don't like western RPG's, starting with owning and trying many multiple times to do something in Fallout.

Will you accept you're a troll in the world of a.)?

As I now have my first working PS2, lots of Burnout Revenge, as well as Sword of the Stars II and hopefully Drox Operative.

I forgot DC:SS

Double

*sigh* really, iPad?

Saturday at a tech rehearsal and maybe a local pen & paper based comedy show afterwards. Sunday night doing an open "jam" session at the comedy theater.

Still chiseling my way through Persona 3 Portable.

You probably eat hobbits.

Hey, some of us like that non-stylized closer to realism but not quite because it's all still impractical fantasy art style.

Thank you very much.

XCOM and Skyrim.

Lot and lots and lots of XCOM and Skyrim!

seems like it'll be Company of Heroes, Bastion, Left4Dead, Super Meat Boy, and SPAZ...

Bastion is what I'm most psyched for, though the others are still fun in small doses!

Well, I recognized Dragon Age right away.

As for me... Nier and, well, that's about it, I believe.

Borderlands 2 and some board games.

More Fallout 2. It is feeling much longer than the original. I've logged 27 hours and appear to be just over halfway through it.

Ultimate Doom for me this weekend, running on the zDoom engine. I'm on e2m5, and I hope to get through it.

Aside from that....whatever strikes my fancy at the time, if I have time. Likely a bit of Populous.

"That's our Clocky!"

How can you tell it's our Clocky? They all look alike to me.

Ultimate Double Post because of how ultimate Doom is.

Really want to try to find the time to get through a whole single player session of Mage Knight. Also, more XCom.

+1 on Mage Knight! Also trying to get more XCOM and Duel of the Plainswalkers in, but I caved and grabbed 30 Second Hero, so now I'm overloaded with backlog. Again.

I can confirm that Dishonored and Mark of the Ninja have been and will continue to be played. I'm going through a very stealthy weekend it seems.

On my second play through of Dishonored (going to get that 0 kills achievement if it...er...kills me, plus - going to try and ghost it as well) and since I'm in a sneaky mood I should probably fire up Mark of the Ninja.
And I need to go back to Borderlands 2 to play through the Captain Scarlett DLC.

Also, dabbling with the Scrolls alpha, thanks to PC Gamer UK

The wife is away all weekend, so I'm going to attempt to plow through the rest of Last Story.

Planning on grabbing Mark of the Ninja to play over the weekend. Maybe some GW2, too.

What I don't think I'll be playing is Borderlands 2, which is odd considering I put hour after hour into the original, and Borderlands 2 was probably my most anticipated game of 2012. Yet whenever I start it up it just feels meh and I quit after 20 minutes or so ... and yet everyone else seems to be loving it. Maybe I've just played one FPS too many

I'm moving to a new place and will probably lose internet for a while after starting tomorrow, so I'm loading up steam with the single player games. XCOM and Mark of the Ninja PC version should get plenty of action.

XCOM
Borderlands 2

Mmmm, XCOM...

Brilliant!

MechWarrior Online
Oblivion,
Maybe Rocksmith. Hard for me to consider it a "game" though.

I wanted to play something horror related that I haven't played yet, in the spirit of the season, but all I could find was Silent Hill : Downpour So that'll have to do. Actually I'm also slowly downloading Lucius at the moment so there's that as well.

Kings Bounty : Warriors of The North is cued up for download as well.

Plus, still not quite had my fill of dishonored - need to replay the flooded district onwards for the ghost & ghost+zero kills achievements.

Most likely my farewell party for my Wii will continue with Donkey Kong Country Returns and some more of my replay of Trauma Team. I'll likely also sneak in a bit of Dragon Quest IX on the side.
