NFL 2012 Week 7 Thread

Woo, chop block in the end zone. Safety. Ballgame.

Or turnover on downs, which ends the game.

Harbaugh is just trolling Vegas at this point.

Penalty declined Seattle covers 9 instead of pushing... LOL

Was there a Thursday game this week? Because I just copied Tempest's picks due to laziness, since it's how I would have picked.

Line opened at 9 and had moved all the way to 7.5 so he just saved every single person who had taken Seattle to cover... lol

It was actually a fairly smart move, I think. Don't give the Seahawks any chance to get the ball back, or, more importantly, risk any injuries on the punt. Just get the win.

Now, if it was against Tampa, I would imagine that Harbaugh would be asking the referees for a coin to flip.

What a frustrating game. I hope this is a temporary case of the dropsies for Seattle - I counted 3 probable first downs and 1 likely TD dropped. Not a good way to build confidence in your rookie QB.

That just kills you in a close games on the road, especially against a power running team like SF. On the plus side, Seattle at least eliminated the stupid procedural penalties that plagued the team earlier in the season. Unfortunately, opposing defenses have clued into how bad Seattle's unibrowed turnstile of a right tackle is and are really taking advantage of it.

When Romeo was hired for the HC job in KC, I thought they franchise was doomed for the next three years (the time that he'd stay employed), plus another two years to rebuild. I didn't realize Pioli was so hated, though I guess it makes sense. I wonder if Pioli knew he was done as soon as when he realized that his offense was being run by failed Browns coaches and a couple of backup QBs, or if it took a while. Who looks at Cleveland's coaching staff from five or so years ago, and thinks "yum yum give me some"?

Norv has been a horrible head coach his entire career. I couldn't believe it when he was given one last shot with the SD job, and couldn't believe that he was extended after all the underperforming that team did. I'm guessing he survives until AJ's out.

I'm pretty sure that I heard Shurmur is safe til the offseason. After that, who knows.

Garrett is probably the one most at risk, but as someone else said there's the Jerry Jones factor. I think Jones'll give up on him.

Guess I should make some picks after all. Don't really feel good about anything this week except the Patriots, since the Jets are dumb enough to talk trash still.

I think I'm just picking the Panthers for spite. Suck it Dallas.

I thought Legion could appreciate this.

Go Texans!

Hm. Weird to see Green Bay resorting to a mid-game onside kick. I guess they need a spark.

Texans get a sack, a safety, a TD off that, then a pick-six! 16-3!

JJ Watt, with the tip at the line on the pick-6. Big surprise.

That's just one of the many things he brings to the table!

I'm just going to stop pretending to understand anything that happens in the NFL.

The Texans are rolling in such dominating fashion that my twitter feed is quiet. Not much to add. The Ravens scored first with a FG, and not since. 29 unanswered Houston points. The D has been lights out.

LaGarrette Blount sucks. If you can't get the 1 yard TD on 3 tries, there's really no role left for you as the "power back".

Eh, forgot to pick any games. Wasn't really in the hunt this season anyway.

That is great. How can you go out in public wearing that? It's not quite JaMarcus, but still...

True.

Also, I've never seen a unsportsman like penalty on a defensive shift like that. Bonkers.

Two sacks IN A ROW for the Ninja Assassin!

It's been fun watching the Redzone channel this week. I've not been able to watch it really, as I not only watch the full Chiefs games, but I usually end up late enough that I can't even jump back and forth.

Oh come on. Dallas had 14 on the field, Carolina made the 4th down play, Dallas got flagged... and the refs gave Dallas a timeout before the snap.

And no PI call on the PI that happened on the play that counted. Ugh.

Giants/Redskins has turned into Madden.
