iPad Games (and Apps) Catch All

Anybody try Rune Raiders? It seems fun but it might be grind fest. Free game, pay money to skip grinding.

The answer seems to be a bit of both. If the extension is .m4b, iTunes seems to check the box automatically, but if you don't, ticking the box does the trick. Apps like bookmark and audible that read from the iPod library for your own audiobooks use whatever was set in iTunes, though Bookmark lets you set manual...wait for it...bookmarks.

Neuroshima Hex just got another army. Source. On Sale for a limited time, along with the 5 army bundle.

I have no idea how it plays at this stage, as I am currently downloading it, but if anyone has even a slight interest in card combat games, and the Marvel Universe, this just went live, for free!

MARVEL War of Heroes by Mobage, Inc.
https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/marv...

EDIT:
Looks like only iPhone at this stage, apologies for the premature exclamation.

I tried it and have no clue what I'm doing. I tried to add you, monkeyboy, as a teammate, but can't find any way to search for a player. I can only seem to get it to randomly show me a list of players at a certain level. Also, not sure ( though I hope it is ) a bug, but there is no sound.

I also read here that I guess it is possible to lose some of your cards when doing a multiplayer battle - not sure on that because I haven't ventured that far into the game yet.

The art is great, especially if you enjoy Marvel comics, but as monkey said, it could really use some iPad HD polish ( for those of us with an iPad of course )

Not grindy at all; I'm not sure why there is IAP at all (if there is - I didn't notice). Fun game, and totally worth free. Heck, I'd even pay a buck for it.

I also endorse this fine little game. You learn about your characters and enemies the first time you use/face them, and then you incorporate them into your strategy for the next round. Good fun, light strategy, and plays quickly when you only have a few minutes.

It has a little bit of grind but not as bad as I thought. A lot of it has to do attack enemy A with character B. Great game!

Seems like Apple products hold their value well - I just got £215($345) for my 32GB iPad 1 on eBay. Gaming on a (borrowed) iPad 2 is like a different world

I'm hoping the iPad mini is real and worth having.

Isn't that called the iPod touch?

Apple could confusingly rename the touch the iPad nano.

Anyone chasing a free Black Widow card for that Marvel game, eve211154 will get it for you.

Download it, race through the tutorial, then pop it in under the referral code section. We both get loot!

Playing Le Havre on my iPhone gives me a headache

I'll raise you one Peter Cushing:

They've talked about it on the conference call, but I just picked up Super Crate Box because it's free currently.

Infectonator is also free. This is a port of a great, simple zombie infection game from Flash

I was totally hooked on the flash version when it came out. Downloading.

It's old news as far as games go, but I am playing the bejeebus out of Puerto Rico right now. I started out not really liking the iPad version, but not fussing with little pieces is growing on me.

Ugh, was almost tempted to buy this right now but then remembered I have Tigris and Euphrates, Titan, and Le Havre sitting on my iPad barely being touched. Need to get to those first.

T&E never spoke to me - too soulless. Titan was indecipherable, still need to try to wrap my head around it. Le Havre also didn't work for me at all - for a game where the buildings seem to be the most important part, the interface absolutely buries them once they're bought to the point where it's too hard to remember what's built.

Puerto Rico on the other hand is a fantastic implementation. Forget those three and just sink right into it.

Oh, and it hasn't been mentioned yet, but Dominant Species is out for iPad. Still working through the tutorial, but it appears to be another case of "great if you know how to play, crap tutorial if not". An awful trend in iPad board game design that really needs to stop. Make. Decent. Tutorials.

RACER FEUD was released today for iOS... it's a clone of FORMULA D/DÉ.

No AI right now, but online multiplayer is up and running (although not through GameCenter).

Nick: sommermatt.

Awesome! Picked it up. As someone who played Oregon Trail a stupid number of times in my school days, it's really fun to try this out finally. My favorite part? All the references to Left 4 Dead, Romero movies, Walking Dead, etc. There's probably some Resident Evil jokes that I'm not familiar with?

I played it through once to the end (Scavenge mode lol!) on Normal....is it going to be fun on other playthroughs and difficulties?

Has anybody tried He-Man, yet?
