(I think you can pay a few bucks to remove it.) It has a bit of a Pokemon angle to it, and you can equip armor/weapons/accessories that grant skills to the monsters you convert.

I've been playing it for a couple days and it's pretty fun.

Playing and liking it a lot, too. Has anyone found a way to remove or replace equipment on your beasties? Capturing bosses is pretty handy.

I got it on my Fire HD and it's very nice. Graphics are beautiful just as you say. Gameplay is fairly simple, though. It's sort of a platformer on raills. I have done the first several jumping levels and it has been a lot of fun.

Hott. How are you liking the Fire HD? I'm waiting to hear what the verdict is on the 8.9" edition before upgrading. Amazon is accepting trade-ins of the previous model for $83, so I figure it's well worth the upgrade to one of them.

I have the 7" HD and quite like it. The hardware is great. Speakers are the best of any tablet around. Screen is very nice with good viewing angles and excellent color. Not quite as good as the iPad 3 but pretty close. If you already have a Kindle Fire and like the UI I think you'll like the new models. At times I would like more of a base UI to play around with. The UI also slows things down a little bit. Sometimes I will notice some sluggishness and it is enough that I wonder if it registered the touch on an icon. That's fairly rare but it does happen. Overall, I think it compares favorably to an iPad and the hardware is better than the Nexus 7.

You can do that from the Beastie's screen. Go to Allies, pick the one you want, and scroll down a screen or three. It's very similar to removing Beasts from your party.

The Rayman game is pretty cool, though it definitely has slowdowns on my Razr Maxx.

It's really good although I thought it was a bit easy overall

Yeah, it's definitely on the easy side.

I would have liked the difficulty curve to be a little steeper or preferably the game to have been longer so that it could get up to a harder difficulty. Would have been nice if there was an ending too.

Oh! Didn't realize I could scroll down in that menu. Thanks so much.

You can also do it from the Items menu I think. I stumbled into it somewhere the other night.

How so? I though that the screens were about the same, maybe a slight edge to Kindle HD because of the brightness, no contest on speakers, prize going to the Kindle there, but the Nexus had better build and general specs. Just curious

I'm with you on the ending, but getting the Death levels and and getting through them was a heckuva challenge, and getting all 100 lums per level is keeping me happily busy. Still, more levels would have been nice, but I bet we'll see DLC or another game before too long.

Can anyone tell me anything about the quality of a game called Wild Blood? I think it may be just I need to dust off the old Xperia Play joypad.

Polara is a new endless runner made by Hope This Works Games Inc. It just like all endless runners/platforming except it has a color changing mechanic similar to Outland, and by similar I mean exactly like Outland. You swap colors to avoid things that kill you, use platforms and switches, pick up orbs, and even change gravity. It also has boss fights, which is something I have never seen in a game like this.

It just launched and if you pick it up soon it's only $0.99. Not sure what full price is.

The specs on the screen may be similar but the Fire HD looks much better in person. I've compared both and the colors on the nexus are washed out compared to the fire and angles were not quite as good. Displaymate also praises the Fire's screen. Speakers, as you said, are no comparison at all. The N7's speakers suck in comparison.

For those with Neuroshima Hex:

Neuroshima Hex just got 2 armies in the Android version. Source. On Sale for a limited time (.99 USD vs 1.99 USD)

Of course I bought it for full price 2 days ago. :c

I got it on the iPad because I loved Sacred Oddessy: Rise of Aden. It was ok but somehow the combat just didn't feel as fluid or good. It is hard for me to describe but it just didn't feel as good. Anyway I uninstalled it after about 1/2 an hour.

I just paid actual monies for the first time on the Play Store. Been surfing the freebies, but The Bard's Tale came up, and it's on a 50% sale this week, so I bit.
It's got the one by inXile from a few years ago, but it's also got a spot on the menu for the original trilogy. Unfortunately only the first one is in there, but the others has "coming soon" spots.
Started playing on my phone, but I think i's going to be a tablet game. Will return with thoughts once I get into it.

Penny Arcade's Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 has just been released on the play store.

I heard somewhere that PA was taking with Sony to get the game on Vita. I wonder if it's going to be on the mobile store eventually.

Does anyone know what the system requirements are for it? The game won't run on my Inspire 4G (at least, Google Play thinks it's "incompatible"). I mean, it's a 2-year-old phone, but it isn't completely worthless. Is it tablet-only or something?

Shows up as available on my Samsung Galaxy S3

Available on my S2 as well.

Seems like it requires a pretty recent and/or high resolution device. Shows compatible with my Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus 7, but incompatible with the LG G2X.

Does not work with my xperia play yet.

Not sure if the OP is still being updated, but here a few recommendations of mine:

Chu Chu Rocket - My favorite dreamcast game! Puzzle game where you place directional tiles to guide the mice to your base & the cats to your opponents' bases.

Vexed - Free (w/ no ads) puzzle game where you slide blocks & match them to clear the level (Used to play this on a handspring visor back-in-the-day!)

Shogun - Another pretty shmup (Demo & Paid version)

DANMAKU Death
- Free (no ads) shump that is only boss-battles

In theory yes. I have compiled all the suggestions since page 15 and just need a moment to sit down and sort out the initial post.

That's just the kind of game I was looking for. Purchased and downloading. Thanks!

I just grabbed it as well based upon the video. I was looking for something to play on my phone!

It's very good, but very strange.
