What are you playing this weekend?

Aside from BJJ, catching lunch with the founder of a start-up I'm considering joining, and running a Pathfinder game, I'll likely be spending time on Dishonored and X-COM.

Metroid Prime 2 (still) and New Super Mario Bros. 2 (still).

Well a lot less Aliens: Infestation than I thought. Just beat the game. I'll either be replacing it with New Super Mario Bros. 2 to "complete" the rest of that, or Radiant Historia.

What did you think of Aliens? I had heard it was a surprisingly good Metroidvania, but I wasn't sure about biting with a $30 price tag.

Posted more thoughts here, but I'll either plug more in-depth thoughts in the game's catch-all (assuming I remember right and made one) or on my blog. It was certainly fun, though.

Code of Princess and Persona 3 Portable.

Probably some random scatterings of other things too.

Still waiting on Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep to arrive in the mail, so it'll be Pokemon Black 2 and Tales of Graces F, I believe.

Playing dressup at New York Comic Con

I have a weekend! Some Borderlands 2 and start up a new personal computer game (Dishonored or X-Com). They both sound dapper. I will be playing a little Pokemon White V1. I didn't put enough time in it. I have a Sandile.

Guild Wars 2 as usual, with some Just Cause 2 Dirt 3 and maybe F1 2010 to mix it up.

However, with all the rain delaying work this week I'm probably going to be playing the 'job' game most of the time.

Walking Dead, with a heaping helping of Dishonored, and some more work on my New Vegas mod (Tales from the Burning Sands chapter three). Since the 360 died a slow, deliberate great red-ring-of-death death, my girlfriend and I are down to the Wii for our sole console entertainment device. Shed no tears, though, for we have Twilight Princess to play; that game has some Freaky good enemy design. The big house in the icy wilds as a dungeon also made me nearly fill my britches. Give me areas that aren't dungeons/temples, thank you Nintendo! I forgive you for the ice-petal snowboarding! *swoon* mmmmmmm sweet pumpkin soup

Due to the burden of an old Mac laptop as my home computer, I'm relying on Xbox for this.

I know this is not an answer, but I'm switching my time between both.

Sounds like a good answer to me. Why choose when you have 3 days and can switch between the two to keep things fresh?

Looks like I'll be wrapping up HL2:Ep2, continuing my space journeys in SPAZ and FTL, and moving forward with my Psychonautic training. Nothing out of the ordinary...

Mmmm Tokyo Jungle craziness for me.

That mansion is one of my favorite Zelda dungeons precisely because it's not a classic dungeon. There are definitely some fun level designs in Twilight Princess, especially later in the game.

Was going to say Mirror's Edge but I just finished it on a work break. So probably the new episode of The Walking Dead instead.

I wonder if that's why I/we love Majora's Mask so much. Each dungeon revolving around a movement and skill set markably different from Link's own really freshened up the dungeons.

I'm trying to decide if Borderlands 2 is worth playing again using a different character, or if I should just move on to something else.

Without going into details or spoilers, how was the ending? Was it satisfying? I felt like the first Borderlands was a bit of a let down on the ending.

Spoiler:

I don't really think the game was ever really about the story as much as it was about the experience. To that end, I had a lot of fun start to finish.

But is it worth doing again? That or pick up La-Mulana.

Edit: New here, and no idea why none of my BBcode worked.

I just thought the boss battle was little too quick and easy after all the adventures we had. And it was only two of us playing at that time.

You need to post a few times before you're allowed to use BBCode, I believe as a spam prevention mechanism.

If I can get my wife to play, we'll be shooting through Tomb Raider and the Guardian of Light. Otherwise I'm working my way through Pokemon Black.

Probably a bit of Firefall (I have 2 invites to give out) and Transformers: War for Cybertron. I can't believe I bought this game before I even had a PS3 and am just now getting to it after 2 years. It's fun, but if it weren't for the actual transformers being in the game, it wouldn't be worth it, so far. I just finished the Decepticon campaign.

I couldn't really place why I enjoyed War for Cybertron myself, as for the most part its a pretty simple and basic shooter.

The second game is a lot better. I'd say it is worth going in on Fall of Cybertron as soon as you can afford to, because it was one of the more enjoyable shooter experiences I've had this year.

I'd say so far it's the banter between Megatron and the others. He's constantly wrangling everyone around him and having to tell them to stop whining.

As for 'as soon as you can afford to', that's looking like not at all in the forseeable future. Plus I still haven't even removed Arkham City from the shrink wrap.

I feel like the most enjoyable War for Cybertron missions were Autobot anyway, truth told. I'm not much a fan of the Megatron character in War/Fall, as he seems to be tyrannical to the point of idiocy. I mean, true, he was always a cartoon villain, what with being from a cartoon and all, but there are points where it's like "Okay, which makes less sense? That Megatron would keep Starscream around instead of killing him, or that the rest of the Decepticons wouldn't gather together and kick Megatron's ass themselves?"

XCOM, XCOM and then, for a break, some more XCOM.
