NFL 2012 Week 5 Thread

Frickin' iPad double posting...

I hope you're happy Ratboy...

So we are allowed to make picks after the first half now? hmm..

Might as well just scrap the Thurs pick entirely. Pick a new 5th game if we have to, or just have 4 this week. I mean I guess having 5 picks to make 4 picks is a nice bonus, but it was also only available for 6 hours or so.

I could have peeked at the score before my pick, which I did after I made my post to see that StL was up 7 and I was probably wrong, but I didn't.

And there's also all the people that expect to make picks today and tomorrow for the weekend and might feel left out this week with 1 less pick. Heck I usually wait until the Fri injury report before making any picks, but rushed and did it last night instead.

In the end it's not like there's money on the line or anything. It is just for fun, so whatever.

Sigh....

they better win comfortably this weekend.

If need be, I'm adding another pick to replace the Thursday game: Broncos at Patriots. Bring back the wildcard! (Even though it was easily abused.) Ignore this if we're just scrapping the 5th pick altogether, but I'm just throwing it out just in case.

Anyone who edited their pick after the game started is just wrong...that is an automatic loss IMO

So it's OK if I edit it now?

I'm gonna go back and edit my pick now; I picked the Cardinals, so, if I change to the Rams an automatically lose, it's losing twice, and that's just like multiplying -1 times -1. VICTORY.

Win/Loss are boolean man.
False and False == False

Post of the week, imho. I stupidly <3 your mom jokes that make no sense.

I'd intersect it!

I think you toss out the Thursday game and make this a 4 game week. I mean having a win negating a Sunday loss is the same problem I have with having the Thursday night game count at all. Just let it go.

Or count the Thursday night game and mess with all the people that didn't expect it.

Edit: that came out harsher than I meant it. This is for fun, it doesn't really matter.

Again...its just for fun...so I dont mind any way it stacks. However, If there is a vote, I think we should just toss the thursday night game for this week and run with 4 picks only. Savvy?

I WILL HAVE YOU KNOW I TAKE A WHOLE 30 SECONDS EACH WEEK TO DECIDE MY PICKS. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS SIR.

Posting this again in case y'all missed because I am still rofl-ing over this. Go read now!

30 seconds? Somebody's over-thinking things.

Eagles at Steelers - The Pittsburgh defense should look a little better this week with a rest and getting some starters back. I don't buy Mendenhall and never have but he has to be better than what we've seen so far from the Steelers. All that combined with this being a home game and they should pull this one out.
Chargers at Saints - As much as I hate the Saints they have to win one eventually, right? I mean they may be the best 0-4 team in history. This is the same Chargers team that got embarrassed at home by the Falcons.
Titans at Vikings - Vikings are a surprisingly solid team. Titans are perhaps the most disappointing team of the season. Being 23rd in total offense and 31st in total defense and playing on the road? Yeah, I'm not picking you.
Dolphins at Bengals - Both these teams are a bit under the radar and underrated but I can't see the ever improving Bengals dropping this one at home.

Cardinals at Rams:
Eagles at Steelers:
Chargers at Saints:
Titans at Vikings:
Dolphins at Bengals:

And see, Anime picks 24 hours late and still gets the Cards-Rams game wrong.

I picked in a vacuum. I wasn't actually aware that it was the Thursday game until I read the thread, since I copy-pasta'd ukick's post and rebolded different stuff.

Oh, and since there's discussion on how to handle the thursday game, I say we just ignore em for purposes of pick em, and roll another D6 for the 5th game. Also, I'm not biased at all with regards to that.

Cardinals at Rams (Doesn't count)

Eagles at Steelers

Chargers at Saints

Titans at Vikings

Dolphins at Bengals

Cardinals at Rams (Da Fu??)
Eagles at Steelers
Chargers at Saints
Titans at Vikings
Dolphins at Bengals

wouldn't it just be easier to replace the Thursday night game with a different sunday game? Just sayin

Cardinals
Steelers
Chargers
Vikings
Bengals

Let's see if Harrison can get some form back, and Polamalu might not have to risk so frequently.

Steelers
Chargers
Vikings
Bengals

Steelers
Chargers
Vikings
Bengals

Yup.

Cardinals at Rams - I'll be honest I would have taken the Cardinals.
Eagles at Steelers
Chargers at Saints
Titans at Vikings
Dolphins at Bengals

The early games suck.
