WOW- BHA guild offer and info

Gotcha. And speaking of farming, I think you can use it to grow more Motes/Spirits of Harmony. I'm still grinding through Jade Forest, so all I know is rumors from traveler passing through to wherever the lvl 90s hang out.

Yep, once you're Revered with the Tillers you get access to new seeds that allow you to "grow" motes, ore, herbs, enchanting mats, trees to plant wherever you feel like it...

In the beta, the one time I planted the mote seed I got one mote at harvest. Ore I got two ghost iron ore. Never tried the herbs or enchanting mats. The trees were sort of cool, but useless from what I could tell.

The trees are just flavor, as far as I know. There are also plants that give you ore, herbs, leather, enchanting dust, and cloth. None of them are really spectacular given the current overabundance of gathering materials.

The mote plants, however, do give one mote per harvest, so filling a maxed out farm at exalted is 16 motes per day. Three spirits of harmony every two days could be pretty useful if you have something specific in mind to use them on. Even the max of 12 per day at revered is pretty nice.

The Reaps in question has apparently been collecting fish into grocery baskets, trading said baskets for tokens and buying veggies with them, which is probably a good call. There are a few more of us working on it, too.

That sounds ... complicated. But, hey, that'll be me soon enough.

Basically, you can trade large quantities of food for extra cooking tokens. And you can use cooking tokens to buy (smaller quantities of) food. Since Dr. Grim enjoys fishing but hates farming, he has a wealth of extra fish but almost no vegetables. But using this system he can sell the fish for cooking tokens, then buy the vegetables with them. It lets him collect food in the way he enjoys, and not get bummed or frustrated because he has to farm a zillion carrots to max his cooking skill. It's a pretty elegant system.

Yes. And cooking is done. All we need is engineering.

Engineering's done, too, thanks to Shank's in-game reminder this morning.

Just remember that I used my one and only SoH so you folks can have monk pants. Monk pants! I'll remember. Don't you worry ...

P.S.: Oh, yeah.

On another note, I'm going through my pets and getting rid of duplicates. Most are pretty common (vendor pets, for instance), and I ended up with about 30 spares. BOA pets have pretty much crashed the pet market at this point, so I'm not going to vendor 'em. But if there's one you want and are missing from your collection, pst in game and I'll see if I can hook you up.

Decisions, decisions - cant decide if I want to play again. Every time I start to play - I get deployed or TAD'd somewhere.

If anyone needs a Living Steel x-mute, send mats to Sherrman. He just learned the x-mute today, but I don't have the mats to do it for my toons anytime soon.

I usually log onto Sherm in the mornings. If you want it, send me the mats via in-game mail -- first come first served.

Sherm is an x-mute master, so there's a chance for multiple procs. You'll get any extras, of course.

Shanker will hit honored with Golden Lotus today which opens up a variety of leatherworking patterns to include leg armors. Most of them require harmony but I am working to build up my store.

When is the MoP raiding starting up? I have been leveling my monk pretty hard and am now 86 planning to play BM/MW. I have not seen anything on the boards here and I was paranoid about missing the start (hope I am not too far behind).

Soon? Soon-ish?

I'm only 87 myself. Then again, I'm not exactly a hard-core raider.

In any case, someone will post a thread in the forums. Or you might want to check with Sel -- he's in-game most nights.

Well, this is just a tentative roster I personally put together:

Tanks: Carg / Rez
Heals: Hack / Sel? / ?
DPS: Shank / Youko / Lunui? / Serj / Bifur

I don't know for a fact that the people I have listed are planning on raiding and obviously not everyone I have listed is 90, let alone raid geared.

EDIT: So, to answer the question, I would estimate three weeks at the earliest for a 10 man group and earlier for GWJ LFR wackiness.

Did someone cap engi yet? I want some new pants for my monk.

Yes, Jorrn took care of that.

You're welcome. If you need any thermal anvils for any of your mining/BS toons and don't feel like splurging (they're an outrageous two whole gold on the AH), holler at me.

@ Reap: Add me to the list of interested-but-not-ready raiders. I'm happy to come in off the bench.

Blue has another few days of housesitting left, but then she should be back in the fold again. So hopefully it won't be horribly long before we're ready to smash stuff (and get smashed up) in the face again.

You can pencil in TankMatea as DPS and maybe as Tank. I'm dual specced Prot/Fury, so I can jump in if a slot opens up. The only downside is I'm still levelling to 90.

I (Bifur) am definitely in, I am trying to gear up/grind dailies now. I am good to go with LFR soon too.

I'm in, need to wreck some Mogushan fools.

I'd like to give a shot. I'm currently 87 Hunter Jademe Should be 90 by the weekend or not long after.

Shank put a raid thread up for the next week and a half or so. Those interested can find it here.

Saw this comic, and thought of this offer...

hehe, I already used an invitation. Guess I can't anymore.

But Gw2 is in the way atm, and I can't afford the subscription model from wow for similar content all the time. :S

Was that a picture of me? It does sound good.

So an 85 DK whispers me.

him: Can I get a guild invite?

me: Sure, I saw. What's your forum name?

him: Don't have one. Don't need one. Just need the XP bonus until someone from Gwen Stefani comes on and can invite me for real. I'm the best priest on the server! My main is in GS! You totally won't be sorry!

me: Sorry, no. Not on the forums, not in the guild. That's pretty much our one rule.

him: /nerdrage!!1!

me: /ignore

(DK's name is Hypnagogia, with a symbol over the last a, if any officer needs to know that.)

Update: Looks like this guy got his GS invite after all. I checked this afternoon, and he was all the way up to 87. Glad he got in -- it's easier when all the douchenozzles have the same guild tag.

And part of me can't wonder if, perhaps, the perception of GWJ is that we're douchenozzles because we're so rigid and exclusive. If there is any perception of us at all, given how small we are.

According to my new friend in GS, the reason we suck is because all we do is role-play on our forum.

I think my new friend might have been projecting a bit. According to the latest WoW Progress ratings, GS is down to No. 2 on Ally and No. 5 on the server. No wonder he took a chunk out of my pixelated ass.

:-)

Talking with other guilds on the server, that comes from a handful of folks who have worn the tag at varying points.

Hello,

I'm looking for a refuge on Blackhand of sane, fun individuals, and perusing through the Guild Finder led me to believe that you guys might meet at least one of those requirements (I'll let ya'll choose which one you prefer to be ).

A little bit about me: I'm a serial WoW player with a mild (chronic) case of alt-titis who enjoys going through new content. Currently, I'm trying to learn a bit about the Alliance side. My home server is Hyjal, where I'm an officer with a guild called Amicus, who I've been with for about 8 years -- we're a great group and if you'd ever like to check us out (but, to avoid this becoming an advertisement, just PM me here if you'd like to check out our website).

Outside of WoW, I'm a freelance copywriter with a fairly busy schedule. I also bake bread and cookies for friends, charities, and anyone who is willing to eat them.

I can't promise I'll ever be raid ready, but I can promise that I will provide a never-ending stream of bad jokes, puns, and odd commentary in guild chat when I'm on. Or at least, a very large amount -- if there is a limit to it, I have yet to find it.

I'm hoping to get a chance to meet everyone here, you seem like a great group!
