Guild Wars 2 - Spelunking Club (The Arah Initiative)

I'm game for this, got a 70 warrior usually with a greatsword. I'll be online that night, just give Dahgar Grimmblade a shout.

I'm going to try and have availability Thursday. 2000 PST group would be easier for me, but will shoot for the 2000 EST. Hoping to have my thief to 80 by Thursday night so more options are open.

That's excellent.

So we have Thursday coming up rapidly. If there are any special requests, please let me/us know now so we can try to get organized.

Also if you're nearing the time to make your first few dungeon story mode run, now's not a bad time to pipe up to let us know you'll be wanting to do the usual suspects (AC and CM story mode), that way other players who are around that point can team up.

Have yet to do a dungeon run. Would love to take my 44 Engineer through AC story.

Guess ill need to level up faster. Bl2 is taking way too much time tho.

I'm up for dungeon runs. I've only done AC and CM story, and then the one infamous attempt at AC explorable referenced several times upthread (... moment of silence for the multi-fallen heroes... ). I'm up for doing just about any dungeon now, warrior is at 80.

I don't mind running through AC story again if you need 1 more to fill out the group.

Radish Blossom, 40 Ranger

I'd be up for spelunking as well. I've done up to Twilight Arbor in story mode, and would like to do Sorrow's Embrace at some point.

Am also available for explore mode of any of the previous one (or, if you need one for story, I'm sure I can tag along in any of the lower level ones).

Believe my tag should be in my signature (I spend time between two guilds, so feel free to ping me if you notice me not representing at any given time).

I should be on Thursday for the 8pm EST slot.

I'd be up for:

AC explorer mode
CM story (preferable)

I have a Thief (Ssahadi), level 52. I'm thinking of shifting my traits around this time to buff up vitality. Seems like it could make a big difference.

Updated the first post to reflect player's preferences so far. If you have a preference, feel free to chime in, it might make getting organized somewhat easier.

I can attest that Radish is terrible (y good) as a dungeon compatriot.

I'd love to run AC story again. Djori Vran 34 warrior.

As a side note: I recently have fallen in love with sword/axe, sword/shield, and sword/sword on my warrior. I have run with greatsword and longbow for almost 90% of my levels. I think it keeps the game fresh.

I'd love to find a party for Twilight Arbor Story. I prefer to do story mode before any explorer mode for any of dungeons. Then I'd like to explorer for any of the dungeons I've already completed in story mode (the 30 and 40 levels).

Ran CoE (lvl 78 dungeon) with some goodjers tonight. Some amazing fights and a lot of fun trying to figure some fights out. One thing I love is the situational awareness you guys have. It's so annoying to see people die to stupid things. It happens every once in awhile but overall I think we did great to overcome baddies

My friend (Stop Bit - Engineer) and I (Skarro - Thief) are interested in running Ascalon Catacombs (story). We've yet to run any dungeons in a group though we did try to two man Ascalon just for kicks. It was amusing but obviously a horrendous failure.

My availability will probably be 8pm PST with no mic (but vent listenable). My preference is anything in explorable mode.

I'll roll TA with you if you want. But, tomorrow is college night for HS juniors...and I have 1 of those, so I probably won't be on until around 9 ET. If you're around, we can try to get a group together. If not, maybe we can hook up over the weekend.

I'll be around for any dungeon attempt <70

I am interested but I have been leveling very slowly and playing around with lots of professions. My favorite so far is guardian but he is like level 10 or so. I will catch up once with you folks once I am in range of some dungeons. Thursdays @ 8 EST works great for me.

Hey -- Just throwing out a thanks to the GWJers who ran CM story mode last night. I actually enjoyed the map and it definitely wasn't as painful as AC. However, I'm sure CM explore is going to be worse. Some of those captains and lieutenants hit hard from a range, and a couple of the mobs were overwhelming. The dogs were fun (don't want to spoil too much) and I need to think of how to negate fear in my thief. I hope we keep up the regular dungeoneering - it's a nice change of pace from my normal mellow solo'ing.

AC story people didn't show up.

I was fairly certain that we had gotten an AC story mode group off the ground yesterday. Can anyone confirm?

I'll be on later tonight if you want to run it. I was babysitting so couldn't get in an early group and got sucked into a mansion group when I logged back on

Sorry about that. I got stuck at work. By the time I got home, there was not enough energy for a dungeon run.

Can't tonight. Tomorrow night maybe?

If you see me on (Kirwin) just ask and we will get a group together.

I'll run it with you guys if you need a 5th. I'll be on tonight. Look for user iPhoneAppz...I may be playing one of my alts.

I ran a group that did AC story yesterday. It seemed like everyone had a good time =)

Lots of deaths and downed so I don't think the coin drops offset that but there is lots of weapons, armor and trinkets to be had.

It was my second time doing the dungeon and even I got a couple of weapon upgrades and an armor upgrade. (along with tons of stuff to sell)

We ran Twilight Arbor story last night with 3 GWJers and 2 randoms and it was a great success. We were nervous at first when it turned out 3 of us were Thieves and we also had a Mesmer and an Elementalist. Talk about squishy. But, if I remember correctly, 2 were lvl 80s and that definitely helped. We mostly rolled the dungeon, I have to say. It's a bit lengthy - took us a couple hours maybe? 3 bosses and a final big group fight. We got trounced a couple times but were able to organize, create a coherent plan, and carry it out on our next try. I'm surprised that we did as well as we did without any heavy armor. As people have oft said, dodging and mobility trump armor in GW2. I've respecced my Thief to max Acrobatics and the difference was noticeable. That trait line is just awesome and all the extra HP are essential.

Bah, of course, the one night I wasn't playing during prime time. My Sylvari guardian is sooo looking forward to taking on the Nightmare Court.

I may have to stop being picky with trying to play the dungeons in order, and just take what comes along. Especially since I reached level 80 this morning and now have access to all (but have only done the first two).

Alright. Thursday is coming up, so if you have any special interest in a dungeon, feel free to chime in.

For those of you at level 80, I may be looking to do the Arah story mode if we dont have to run around for hours beforehand to gain access. There are enough pugs for that but it's always better with guildies.
