Ok, I'll look for that. Maybe you can help - I can't figure out how to discard a tile after the initial discard phase of a turn. The manual says you can do it, but I can't figure out how to get rid of extra tiles. I tried dragging them every which way, but no luck. Help?

Press and hold the tile. The x should pop up in the upper left corner, white x on black background.

If you want to test out the multiplayer waters, feel free to send me an invite!

I tried holding the tile while it is still in my hand and it just attempts to place it on the board. Am I doing that wrong? Thanks for your help.

And I would love to play the multiplayer waters when I don't suck so bad....

I took this screenshot earlier tonight. I won't be able to put as much time per day into the game anymore, but I'm sure I'll still manage a lot of time.

Wow, tuffalo -- I'm pretty impressed with the graphics you managed to tease out of your iPhone 5.

=)

I'm sticking with Borderlands 2 Lite until they have a $.99 sale on the full game.

A bit late to the party but I picked up Shellrazer and that game is quite fun. I like the tower-of-weapons type mechanic. Although sometimes tapping the bottom weapon hits my turtle instead and charges me towards the land mine I was trying to shoot. Quite good though.

I'm still rocking through Puzzlecraft as well. I'm liking it a lot, and I'm able to skip most of the resource hunting because I don't have time to do anything but collect taxes all day. Each evening I usually have enough money to buy the last few soups or whatever for the next building.

Is there a way to sell or move buildings/plants in that game? Is it possible to build so many houses for workers you can't build your next infrastructure building?

It should be in the tile tray. Push and hold it like you're going to delete an app from the home screen. All of the tiles in your hand should do the app shimmy, with the white x on black ellipse in the upper left.

I just confirmed it works that way for me.

Doh. Totally fell for this. I had the appstore up in seconds.

Yeah, that wasn't supposed to go there. At least it was good for a laugh.

On the subject of iPhone apps, I can't wait to get the Journey art book later this month (fingers crossed), and try the daqri 4D app. I don't have an iPhone anymore, so I'm going to have to borrow my roommate's Android phone to try it.

Has anyone ever used the app for anything?

Thats awesome. They really should make a companion app though where you can check your inventory and mess around with possible builds.

Rayman Jungle Run is like Origins offspring perfectly suited for iPhone. You just run forward and collect Lums - if you miss something, too bad, no coming back. The levels are quick, around 1 minute, but motivate you to collect all 100 Lums in each stage. If you do that in 5 levels, you get special super-hard level unlocked. Great music, great fun, although you might wait for a sale if you feel like 3 dollars is too much.

I don't think there is a way to sell or move buildings. You will eventually run out of houses to build. Instead, you will be able to buy workers individually.

Sword of Fargoal is free today (not sure how long the sale will last). It's an attractive, easy-to-play rogue-like that features lots of secret passages.

Also, if you enjoyed King Cashing, you might be pleased to learn that King Cashing 2 has been officially announced, and will likely hit the app store in early October. There's a contest going on right now where you can win the chance to appear as an enemy in the game (hand-drawn version of your handsome self), as well as a free copy of the game, gift cards, etc.

King Cashing is also free today.

Had to rest my phone last night. After much playing around I finally got it restarting and it seems my apps are wiped. Looks like I have to repurchase any apps I want to own again, with is frustrating. Some are backed up but I try not to do that often as it seems to lead to a lot of synching of my apps on her phone and likewise. It's irritating that Gamecenter can see that I have achievements in a game that I have to repurchase if I want to play again. I'll probably end up buying Acesnsion again but really irritates me I have to.

You never need to repurchase apps, you can just re-download them now. Many games use iCloud saves as well, so will have backed up your data.

You definitely don't have to repurchase everything. Log in, find a game you previously owned and it should show a button that says "Install" instead of "Buy app". Press it and with a bit of luck your saves are in the iCloud still.

Unless they have changed it in IOS6, it will still say "Buy" but after you click it, it will tell you that you already own the app and give you the option to re-download.

Edit: I just checked with an app I deleted and it looks like they changed it to Install.

Tiny Troopers is free today. It looks like it could be pretty fun.

Go to the app store, updates tab, the top of the (probably empty) list should have a link to the app purchase history for the entire lifetime of your apple account. All of them can be downloaded again for free.

For those who dig on Pokelikes - Zenforms is out. Price is 1.99 USD - it seems to be getting pretty good reviews. There are a number of bugs that the developer is aware of.

Wow. Those creatures seem a little close to the Pokemon/Digimon style I'd say. Still, looks interesting.

adventure bar story is free right now.

Thanks for the help- got everything redownloaded.

Also, haven't tried it yet (got it DLed) but Jordan Mechner's The Last Express is now on iOS.

It made me quite happy and then I read the size - 1.26 GB. Holy crap. Still, will get it sooner or later, great game.

There seem to be a lot of Pokelikes these days. The one I decided to try is Dragon Island Blue, after it got a review on TouchArcade.

I have really enjoyed Dragon Island blue. The devs are pretty responsive to the posts in the Touch Arcade forums, and are actively working on updates and new features. The IAP is not required to finish the game, and does not upset the balance of play. There is nothing you can get w/ IAP that you can not earn on your own in the game.

I have probably 25 hours into the game so far and still launch it first over any of my other iOS apps so far.

This won't be news to anyone, but Bad Piggies is excellent and 99c. Roxio does it again.

Fabulous!

If I don't get an uncomfortable 4th-wall breaking lesson in morality crowbarred into the end of every level I shall be bitterly disappointed.

Can't Stop, a favourite at our weekly game nights, is available!

Lots of people on BGG are reporting lots of bugs with this game. I trust Playdek to patch it, and it's only 99 cents, so I went ahead and picked it up anyway. YMMV.
