Borderlands 2 Catch-All

I cannot join a game with anybody from my friends list but hitting matchmaking matches me up to random internet dudes group #102498120481024 in about five seconds flat.

Holy Crap.....Have slept since the game came out?

I know right. Most of us are barely passed walking short distances without dying.

What class/weapons did you run with TB?

Screenshots or it didn't happen...

I would like to add that I played no small part in his accomplishment being 1 of his 4 pack.

I know right. Most of us are barely passed walking short distances without running out of ammo and dying.

FIXED

If you are having connection issues the host needs to put their pc on the routers DMZ temporarily. Move it back when you finish playing. Even with the steamworks ports open there are alot of connection issues. This has to be a NAT issue like with UT3.

heh just found the Minecraft tribute in the Caustic Caverns..cant wait to try on the skins I got from it XD

I am a siren. I put most of my points into the Harmony category. I mostly look for SMGs. I got this drop at the end and really like it. It goes into burst mode when you zoom in. I love that.

I got to level 5 last night!

I think maybe I'm exploring too much. I spend a lot of time figuring how to jump on top of buildings.

I appreciate how often they have put something up there for you to find. Unfortunately, almost every time it's just an ammo box and not worth your time to get up there.

LOL. I was doing that too this afternoon.

Yeah exploring is fun but time consuming. Might yield a weapon or two, but the time spent can probably complete another mission and get an even better reward.

And with coop it's really hard to find multiple people into exploring mode.

The main thing I look forward to? Looking at and using all the guns. Seriously. The loading screens that feature a random gun actually make me excited to keep going. "Oooh, that looks like a cool one, I hope I find that!"

Anyone else feel like me? The humor is great too, but they really knocked it out of the park with the sheer variety of gun types.

About to start playing and looking for people to play with on Xbox. Send me a friend request if you want to play.

Exquemelin on Xbox Live.

So apparently connecting is a crap shoot.

I hoped they would update the networking code from Borderlands. I had to forward an ungodly amount of ports on my firewall to get BL1 working. I even had to add special rules so that 4 guys could play on the same LAN, a scenario which should have no need of such trickery.

Unrelated: Is there a GWJ Steam group for BL2. Can I join? Thanks.

OH another gem from the bandits, Breaking Bad fans:

Spoiler:

I am the one who knocks!

Have you checked the name of this site, TB?

Well, I took 2 days off. Tomorrow, my vacation is over, and it's back to the real world.

You may eventually find a quest called "The Lost Treasure."

Do not do this quest. You will want those hours of your life back.

I disabled AVG and Fuzzball was able to conect to my game. Course then I got a call from work I had to deal with/still dealing with, sigh.

At first I was kind of disappointed by the guns I was getting, but since I hit about level 12/13, they started getting better -- I've been finding more blue and purple weapons and some with elemental damage. I need a bigger backpack!

And for those discussing the game's difficulty: I found BL1 much harder as a solo character than BL2 so far. As a result, I'm enjoying BL2 much more. I also noticed that the side quests in BL1 were often higher than my current level, whereas all the ones I've found in BL2 have been rated Normal or Trivial.

Found a few tips for enabling the console, increasing FOV past the UI limits and disabling the splash screens: http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...

Awesome. Just NoLauncher to the stream shortcut will save me time.

I'm playing Salvador, but that class isn't my type of play.. but like it, as it is difficult for me.

I'm at Flynt, and he just keep killing me

Seems I'm not good at killing him :S

Any tips for a solo player?

Claptrap's birthday party is really depressing.

Spoiler:

Salvador's power gives a good health boost, use it wisely and just keep hitting him between recharges.

I'm playing Zero. Things got much better once you get your stealth, but it's been tougher than BL1 so far. I've gotten many many second winds (thank goodness you can move now). I look forward to future bad-assery.

Not exact, but my last death resulted in "The person who killed you was a real asshole. Please disregard if you committed suicide."

I think the best use of gunzerking that I've found is using it when I'm not in combat so I can generate ammo. Other than that it's basically an "oh sh*t I'm going to die, I need some health" ability. Kind of disappointed with that.

I took this screenshot earlier. It occurred after a funny bug. I'm sad that I won't be able to keep putting in a ton of time into this game.

Just got about 45 minutes into this game, won't be able to spend much time with it until next week though. Hopefully some people will be on alts!

Loved my brief sojourn so far - except not loving the inventory UI. Again.

I've managed to find lots of undocumented goodies that lead to achievements and subsequently, more badass tokens.

Spoiler:

In Claptraps hideout, there's a Borderlands logo etched into the back wall of one of the bathrooms. "using" it triggers a partial achievement of locating other Borderlands logos. I managed to find another one all the way on the opposite part of the zone where the midget riding a bullymong is located.

Also, in the area with the midget riding the bullymong, there are 4 little telescopes scattered around. Using them gives you a nice view worthy of a screenshot as well as triggers an achievement (find 4/4 telescopes).
