NCAA 13 XBOX 2 Star Season 1 Week 9

I can play tonight after work, but I am still waiting on the invite. I will probably go with Ohio unless we have a lot of MAC teams already in that case I would go with UCLA.

Welcome to the league Conine. Not sure but I think UCLA might be excluded from playing, along with some other 2 star programs. Think its due to a recruiting edge. Might be wrong though.

We did put the clamps down on some of the highest rated 2* schools. I was trying to find a list a bit earlier, but I couldn't.

If you want Ohio, that'd be a good one. We may have 2 human teams in the MAC, but that's good. It's fun to play one another. I haven't played a HvH game in awhile, but those are always the best.

Yeah I just quickly looked over the two stars squads at lunch. Ohio will be fine. I just didn't want to play a human every week because I work some weekends.

I don't think you'll be in that position in this league. We tend to shoot for 2-3 HvH games a season (well, excluding conference championship games).

Glad to hear you're joining!

Yeah that will work. Whoever can send invites my gamertag is bar71.

I will send the invite after dinner. Kush is on vacation so I will sim it tomorrow once conine plays

Ok I accepted the invite at lunch and will get to the first game against Miami of Ohio tonight after work.

Cool! It'll be nice to get this rolling again under our new commish! Long live Zell!

Guard your tongue.

Ohio wins the Battle of the Bricks 38-17 thanks in part to five interceptions and a 17-yard punt return fumble return for a touchdown by A.J. Grady, Jr. I am done for the week.

Cool lets roll this and make sure to drop the owners that are not playing anymore.

Indiana beats Iowa in a defensive struggle, 12-7. Iowa's lone score was on a 30 yard or so screen play that I read well, but I completely missed the tackle in the backfield, springing the HB for a big gain. I scored precisely 3 points in each quarter. Thanks, Mr. Placekicker.

The player of the game was my ROLB, who had an a sack, an INT, and a forced fumble to go along with a number of tackles. IU's defense held Iowa to 182 yards of offense and forced 5 turnovers, including a game-sealing INT with under a minute in the game. The defense and the running game allowed IU to have a 22:00-12:00 time of possession advantage.

I really like these defensive games...very tense throughout. Still, they're stressful!

Dang I was hoping to sneak in and steal that kicker. He had no offers last week. Also firesloth and I are battling for a couple of recruits. That should be fun. I will get to my game tonight hopefully.

Ohio battled injuries and interceptions to win 10-9 at Toledo improving their record to 6-4, 4-3. After trailing the entire game quarterback Tyler Tettleton connected with senior receiver Tyler Futrell for a two-yard game-winning touchdown in the final minute of the game. Ryan Boykin amassed the majority of the team's offense with 133 yards on the ground.

Wow, nice win.

Looks like we can roll unless Spy is still with us.

I am back, do I have a game? Got back in yesterday, but been trying to recover from jet lag.

Try to play spy....I will roll this league tomorrow before SNF

league is rolled

WooHoo!

Indiana bests Nebraska, 28-10. It was somewhat closer to that, as I scored an accidental TD during garbage time (I had a real pretty power-O run). IU's defense held Nebraska to 50 yards passing and only 109 yards rushing, the latter including the effects of 6 QB sacks by IU.

The scoring was low in the first half. IU first got on the board after a nice punt that pinned Nebraska on their own 2 yard line. Three plays resulted in -1 yards, including an almost safety (their HB broke a tackle in the endzone). However, IU got a punt block for a safety on 4th down! That's the first punt block I've seen in NCAA13.

The subsequent drive resulted in the first IU TD on a screen pass. Their second TD in the 3rd quarter also came off of a screen, this one a nice 38-yard play that had the HB weaving between potential tacklers being blocked by massive O-linemen.

All in all a pretty nice win. I threw 3 dumb, dumb interceptions. Ugh. But, a win is a win.

I am done for the week. We played like crap except for the run game and thankfully Bowling Green forgot how to catch the ball (9 drops on the day). Ohio won 17-7.

Yeah I'm seeing a lot of drops by the CPU.

In my last game, they blitzed two LBs a lot...made it easy to drop the ball quickly over the line to the TE for 7 yards.

Should we consider bumping up the CPU passing after this week?

I am done. It looks like Spy is the only one left. I see a lot of balls being dropped on both sides. I am fine with it but if you want to bump it up a little I have no problem.

What is the current catching setting? I wouldn't change anything but catches the QB has been making good reads and hits the receiver in the hands.
