Borderlands 2 Catch-All

How do I get the steam pre-order bonuses? Whenever I go to Downloadable Content in the game I get a 'unable to enumerate' error. I have tried verifying local cache and restarting Steam.

For the first time ever, Amazon let me down on a delivery. I pre-ordered in August and chose release-day delivery through Prime. It's now 7:44pm PDT and I am Borderlands-less. Not likely the brown-shirts are coming this late.

We are not amused.

Hot damn this game is gorgeous.

Funny as hell too.

I'm not sure which ones we're supposed to have. I got the skins for having a Borderlands save last night first time. Then at some point either last night or this morning I had a gold key or whatever. And then this morning I got the Gearbox weapons dropped into my backpack, for starting a new character I guess?

What else are we supposed to have?

Yup, I find myself getting distracted by the PhysX elemental effects. My dedicated card finally serves a purpose!

I'm going to make a slight prediction here:
Axton is Handsome Jack's son. If you look at some of the promo stuff out there, there is definitely a resemblance. I haven't played as Axton yet so I don't know for sure.

Tiny Tina is awesome.

Holy crap. Best character of the generation. Crinkle and I could not stop laughing at pretty much everything she said. They need to make a DLC revolving solely around the Tiny Tina character.

One down side I like about the UI, and directly over the XP bar, was the objective, and the ennemy around you that you could see.

Is there a way to get that back somehow? I'm not good at reading a map, when I'm trying to survive, and figuring out where the ennemies are.

I really really like the soundtrack. Cris Velasco and Jesper Kyd (and others)? Hot damn.

I am running a Core 2 Duo with a Radeon HD6870 (or is it the 6850). I will get FRAPS running before I begin and see how it does at 1080p and report back. After Dark Souls (ATI driver issues with the game I think), it will probably feel butter smooth, even if I cannot lock it in at 60fps.

The preview I saw leads me to believe that the game has enough options exposed in the UI to scale well. We will see.

Running on a 5850 with Cat 12.7 and had no trouble. Graphics options are as promised: a lot more tweaking available than in the original game. No ini modifications needed so far

Incredibly happy with this game so far although I think RPS is right about it being a little slow to start. Really looking forward to hitting the actual meat.

I just finished the install and will be rolling my first character at about 9:30pm Pacific. I just want to get the pre-order codes authenticated and dust off the microphone and make sure it works.

Is there any reason not to spend my badass points as I earn them?

So, earlier tonight I accidentally clicked twice and wound up in Arovin's game. Quick apology and I ducked out of it but what's the rules for these impromptu coops? Message over Steam and then jump in? Or is it anything goes?

Really annoyed with this game. Hit M for map, hit M again to exit? Nope... escape. I think most commands are like this... nonsensical. Inventory and comparing items gets to be confusing.

No save anywhere... we're back to crappy console checkpoints.

They gimped the siren... takes forever to kill anything. Second boss... wouldnt have got through had they not allowed me to respawn during the fight OUTSIDE the boss area??

Skills that benefit multiplayer? Doesnt help me...

I do enjoy the music.

Also, apparently pandora.com has class-specific radio stations for Borderlands 2. I myself cannot see this in HK, but it should be available in the US. Adorable marketing.

I searched stations for Borderlands, and don't see anything that looks official or class based. Do you have a link to something with instructions?

Rubberized Burst grenade mods are awesome.

Hmm... I don't know. I thought I saw it referenced on r/borderlands, so maybe they are wrong.

Really, really enjoying the game. Playing solo as Axton and it's great. The writing is solid; the humour is pretty good; and the loot-and-level gameplay is a lot of fun. Kudos to Gearbox for taking the original and improving upon it.

I made it to level 27, or was it 28? It's been a great vacation so far. It seems like it's going to be quite a bit longer than the first game. I don't really much of a story for this game, but I've been surprised how much I've enjoyed the plot so far.

1:21 and I thought it was still before 11...that hasn't happened in a while!

Played 2.5 hours last night, loving it so far. I only played as Axton solo, reaching level 8, probably slow compared to many of you, but I was exploring a lot. I don't think I was playing Axton as I should either, I would throw out my turret and then switch to a sniper rifle to pick off enemies. Oh, the sniper rifle feels much more satisfying than the first game, too. I felt the difficulty ramps up quicker than the first, especially with the bosses; I know I didn't die as much this early in the first game.

I was wondering why no one was joining my game last night :(, then realized when I quit that my setting was for LAN only. It must have changed to that when Steam went down last night.

Game is terrific, only real gripes are the things they didn't fix from the first one.

-Inventory management system is still atrocious and needlessly console-y.
-Still has that "hold your pickup button to swap your weapon with the one you're looking at, and this is also the sequence you use to blindly collect all ammo and money" feature. Really? Really? Does anyone want this?
-As mentioned by someone above, hitting a key twice doesn't bring up/close a screen. Have to hit ESC to get out. Lame.

The second and third items could probably be patched by an intern at Gearbox in about 20 minutes. So...hire an intern.

I think it's anything goes. If you make a game private (Idont know if you can), then I think any goodjer game is fair game.

Anyone have an opinion on how to use these points- or any reason why I wouldn't just dump them?

Just quick FYI ( I learned this in the 21 things you need to know link up above..) Handsome Jack is wearing a mask. So maybe he is wearing Axton's father.

I burned through them all last night. It seems like you get to pick from a random list of 6 stat upgrades with diminishing returns for multiple points.

First point 1%, next point .7%, etc

My point is don't stress it. I dumped a bunch of points into reload speed and I now have a 2.4% boost or something like that. Definitely not a game-breaking advantage.

EDIT:
DAMN. I just logged in and my Pre-Order guns just popped into my inventory. Utterly useless at level 10. That sniper rifle could have come in handy.

Just tell me the game is terrible so I don't have to hate the fact I can't buy it just yet.

The game is terrible!
I'm about four hours in and I've only laughed out loud like a dozen times. That's only one laugh per 20 minutes! Un. Acceptable.

Spoiler:

Dickfart. Diamond Pony. "What's your name, Noooooo!" Minion. "You won't take me alive!" Getting three bandits on the slot-machine. etc etc etc

You wouldn't like it. There are seriously game-breaking bugs that are cropping up everywhere, and nobody is enjoying it at all.

Happily, those bugs are due to be fixed just before you buy it, so you'll be able to enjoy it then!
