NFL 2012 Week 2 Thread

Ravens
Chiefs
Panthers
Jets
Falcons

I flipped on my TV. Matt Millen was on the NFL Network talking about how the Giants had a bad game last week against the Cowboys because they only had 82 yards rushing, and they're usually more balanced. The Giants were the worst rushing team in the entire league last year, averaging around 89 yards a game.

Why, NFL Network? Why? Why can't you just make him go away?

Why do I want to pick the Eagles? They have shown us 0 over the past season and already started off shaky. It must be the Flacco distrust.

Ravens
Bills
Saints
Steelers
Falcons

Taking Saints and Steelers on their laurels. They might be passed their prime though.

When all else fails, draft a WR in the first round!

Ravens: Because Ball So Hard.
Chiefs: No logic here.
Panthers: Cam's still throwing here, right? Unless the Saint's D gets it together, he'll pick it apart.
Jets: Because Ravens Nation Army does not pick the Steelers.
Falcons: Because I will not back the Broncos unless it's vs Steelers.

Texans are rolling. Loving it.

DeSean Jackson should have been thrown out of the Eagles/Ravens game for throwing punches.

I've seen a lot of chippy games this season. These officials need to grow some balls and throw their weight around and get these teams in line.

Bucs playing good defensive ball so far.

That Freeman to Jackson TD was a thing of beauty.

Ugh Eli. Just Ugh

The New Orleans D looks dead to me. Good news for Drew Brees fantasy owners, maybe.

Eric Wright's pick-six at the end of the first half was just stupidly, ridiculously good. Should have gone down a couple times, danced around, took it all the way. Glorious.

Sure, it's nice that DBs and WRs are being allowed to play as opposed to constant DPI calls, but these replacement refs seem to be missing a lot of DPI. I think the DBs are using all the tricks in the book that can be difficult to see. Lots of inside pulling of jerseys and stuff. Anyway, it's only truly annoying me because it's happening against the Ravens.

So far this is one of the stinkier stinkers in Pats history.

It would eliminate half of the Losers Pool. Including me! Damn it!

My friend will be thrilled. An Englishman living in Japan and he's a Cards fan.

Ugh.

These games started out really boring. They're not so boring anymore.

Yeah, wish I had Red Zone.

Well the losers league just became much smaller.

It'll be impossible to listen to the radio in the morning for the next week if they lose this -_-

Funny funny ending.

Man, that Saints game was a thing of ugliness. Everyone looked like they had just caught the redeye from Tokyo. Even The Anointed One (a.k.a Brees) looked downright human. I suspect it's gonna be a long year indeed without Peyton.

FTFY. I was confused for a moment

Colts win kicks me outta the losers pool. And...WTF all football players? This season is goofy as hell already. Michael Vick and the Eagles have 9 turnovers and are 2-0.

Not actually hugely upset about the Bucs loss; they went on the road and played the SB champs very tight, and only a record-setting Eli day turned it around. Weird thing, though; in both games so far, the offense has marched up and down the field in the first half, then reined it in in the second and plodded along. I don't like that, they're taking the foot off the gas.

Also, I thought Mike Williams had a catch with 12 seconds left. Two feet down, and had time to flinch for the hit before he got clocked and let the ball go. Bah.

Dear Ike Taylor,

Please stop doing that.

Yours truly,

Everyone.

Yeah, I thought that was an obvious catch.

Stupid Eagles.

I like this "throw it to Amendola" strategy that the Rams have. It might not win them the game but it helps my fantasy team quite a bit.
