Borderlands 2 Catch-All

I love those guys.

So has there been any consensus on the best character to pick for solo play?

My gameplay style is way too OCD to play with others. I pour over every nook and cranny of a game world hunting out loot and as such would be paced far too slowly to play with others.

Last time out I played Mordecai (Hunter/sniper) and was satisfied. I'm wondering if I should stick with that class (Zer0 seems closest?) or try something different. The only other character I'm interested in is Axton (soldier class).

Since I likely won't be playing co-op, who do you think is a better bet, Zer0 or Axton?

That interview was great.

Ahhhhhh it's so close I can taste it!!

I had no idea the lead writer for BL2 was the guy from Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin? I love that series!!

Anyone doing a Steam Four-Pack? Cut me in.

I'll repeat that GMG has a 25% off coupon on their site that makes it cheaper than Steam's four pack. Just in case you're interested and can't find 3 others. Steam key game. $36 total.

Amazon is offering a $10 card for console versions.

Any better deals out there?

Kmart will give you a $15 gaming coupon with purchase of the console version. Whether that is actually a better deal probably depends on Amazon's tax collection status in your state and whether you place more value in $15 gaming credit at Kmart or $10 at Amazon.

The other factor for Amazon is if you have Prime or not. If you don't have Prime, it'll cost another $5 to get it on day one.

Note: release day shipping does not appear to be available anymore. At least it's not on my pre-order.

The head writer was also a guest on Weekend Confirmed last week. Guess "2 Ns 1 T" was chauffeuring him around that day.

How often are games on Steam available for pre-load? This is my first time pre-ordering a game off of Steam so I don't know what to expect.

Pretty much always, they'll allow you to start downloading a few days in advance. When the release date hits, you can then decrypt what you've downloaded (which tends to take a little while) and play. Sometimes Steam needs to be restarted for it to figure out that the release date has passed.

I see that it's 20% off regularly, where is this code to get it down to $36?

Thanks! I'm getting the Ultimate Loot Chest for myself, but my wife needs a copy too, so I see no reason to not save $20.

Jon got it. Just as a tip on GMG, they generally have their active coupons listed on the "Hot Deals" page. Scroll to the bottom. Big coupons will also be in the scrolling highlighted games on the main page or on the right column of the site in many cases.

Got it last night with that deal from Greenman. Plugged my steam key in already. Is there a group going? Can I get an invite?

How do you feel about Ash? She voices a character in the game.

Supposedly Green Man Gaming's systems are assigning keys to accounts for entry into Steam. Mine's not there yet, but they also say pre-loads haven't started anyway.

So if you took one of their deals, you might want to look later today.

What's interesting is I have two accounts in my household through GMG. One has the Key, the other does not. So they are actively sending them out. I got an email letting me know, so keep an eye out for an email from GMG with your key.

I can only purchase one game and I can't make up my mind.

I am trying to decide between Borderlands 2 for $36 at GMG, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die for $30 from GMG, or Darksiders 3 for $38.

I am seriously stuck. I want to play all these games and I know I will eventually own them all but I can't decide which game is best for early adopting.

Are we going to have a healthy Steam community for Borderlands 2 co-op? (probably a stupid question)

One of us! One of us!

Yeah, there are going to be a ton of people playing the game coop on PC. Now is the best time to get a coop game.

Thanks Mannish, I guess I'll go that route.

Ha! I love this Hey Ash video regarding the ending of Borderlands 1.

You can already preorder Darksiders 3?!?

That was awesome.

That reminds me of one of my favorite Dev pitch videos ever.

My experience has been that (with Prime) you get release day delivery more often than the pre-order screen says that you do.

Pre-load is up

I got my key right away when I purchased the game from Greenman last night.

I would also like an invite to the Borderlands group as well. I played the first one solo and burned out, but hope playing the second one with others is more fun.

steam id= jsrpowers

Awwwwwww yeah.

Anyone else worried that Tuffalo will be on the news as that guy who forgot to eat because he was playing video games?

You should ask Certis to change your tag to. USE THE DAMN GREEN MAN GAMING COUPON.
