Remember, waiver claims process in the wee hours of Thursday.

And that $100 has to last you all year. Don't blow it all on one player... unless you really really want to.

Wait so should I lower my $99 bid on Ogletree?

All your Ogletree are belong to me.

You guys have fun blowing all your FA $ on a #3 WR. Me, I'm going to sulk for a while lamenting the fact that Fred Jackson is screwing me over this year in the Keeper League just as he did last year.

4 WR's all the way this week. Weeeeeee

Clearly you weren't paying attention last year.

Here's to hoping David Wilson does better than -.6 this week. With Fred Jackson's injury, my RB corps are showing how thin they are. I wish I could trade CJ Spiller from my Keeper team to the Platinum team.

Speaking of Spiller, I don't know whether to believe in him or to believe in Stevan Ridley or both.

Ridley looked good. Really good. It's just hard to know how often they'll actually run the ball.

Just trade Spiller to me, then you won't have to decide.

Or neither. The Bills are a Jekyll-Hyde team when looking at RBs. They have sucked the last few years so any of their RBs get fewer touches because they've had to play from behind so much. Spiller has been great at times but has all but disappeared for weeks at a time too.

As for New England, you just never know wtf Bellichek is going to do from week to week. I played Ridley in one of my other leagues and got a W. Wish I had played him in Platinum, but I am still not convinced he will be a week-to-week back until I see some consistency in the NE game plan.

I won't say Ridley's gonna get 20+ touches each week, but he was out there for most of the snaps. I'd feel comfortable playing him going forward and definitely through the bye weeks.

I'm taking Wilson out this week. Most Giants blogs and NYC papers dont say anything about him getting a ton of runs. If you have RB's or WR thats are projected for 10+ Fpts I would go with them. Caughlin needs more confidence in him after the fumble so give it some time.

I didn't start Wilson last week because I'm simply waiting for Bradshaw to hurt himself. He was, however, being played from the very beginning of the game along with Bradshaw, so if he shows he can run and not fumble I think he'll be in the mix going forward. Otherwise it's wait for an injury to Bradshaw, which is perhaps the safer plan unless you're thin at RB.

Yeah I know. And this is probably right. But, been burned by Bellichek too many times before, esp. with running backs. "Fool me once" and all that.

Yes, it's inevitable that Danny Woodhead will get 10-15 touches next week.

Right now Wilson is the kickoff returner for certain, but FF does not award those points. There is no doubt that he will get some snaps but there is no telling how many. I'm not ready to take that chance this week and I am a Giant's fan! That being said it's a great gamble. He's an awesome fast and powerful RB, just fumble prone. Reminds me a lot of Tiki Barber. High and Tight!

Considering my options at Running Back are LeSean McCoy, David Wilson, Fred Jackson (out 3-8 weeks), and Evan Royster (3 carries for 10 yards last week), I have no choice but to play Wilson and cross my fingers. I'm sure I'll find myself in the situation where he and Royster alternate 20 point weeks while sitting on my bench.

Of those two, I think Wilson definitely has the higher upside.

I'm not too distraught. Even with having Fred Jackson get me 1.5 and Greg Little get me 0 last week, I still out scored 2 teams, and if I would have had Alshon Jeffery in over Little, I would have been in the top half of scores (in a losing effort). I still think my team is competitive, but would prefer more room for error.

Gah. Me too in Gold. It was a rushed pick that I immediately regretted during the draft because he has the same bye week as my #1 RB. I was kicking myself the whole rest of the draft for taking him.

Speaking of... anybody in Gold have a spare RB that you'd like to trade for a WR/TE? I have several WRs and a couple of the top 10 scoring TEs so far. Take a look, PM me with any trade ideas. I need a better RB2.

Wish I could help you out. Are you interested in Sparks?

I went heavy on the RBs in the first couple rounds because it seemed the list of good, consistent players at that position this year is far shorter than other years. I'm sure some fantasy standouts will reveal themselves over time, but sure things are few and far between there.

Well right now I'm looking at starting Kendall Hunter, who got a whopping 4.1 points last week. Or maybe Roy Helu with his 5.7?

Looks like there were 25 RBs that had 10+ points last week. Any of those guys with 10-12 points would be a solid improvement for me I think.

Whereas I had 4 WRs just on my team with 12-18 points. And 2 more with 7-8. And I had 3 TEs with 10-13 points. Obviously I can't play 3 TEs or 6 WRs. So a 12 point WR/TE for a 10 point RB would be a solid deal for me I think.

Granted it's only one week, and numbers could change a bit. But I'm certainly not expecting a ton of improvement from my bench RBs when I have to start one of them.

I'm just hoping Jon Stewart comes back from injury well enough to be a bye week replacement! Evan Royster and Toby Gerhart are pretty spotty replacements if it comes to it!

From Wednesday Giants presser:

Q: How has Wilson responded?
A: Well.

Q: Define well.
A: He’s anxious to do right.

Q: Are you anticipating him getting the ball on Sunday?
A: Certainly.

Q: Is he out of the doghouse?
A: Well, he’s a little out of the doghouse.

Q: How can he regain your trust?
A: Ball security.

Was setting my waiver/FAAB stuff for the week and over on the sidebar on the site it says

Thursday
- Claims for free agents must be in by 2:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time.
- After 5:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time, all remaining free agents will be available on a first come first served basis.
- Claims for dropped players are processed all day.

What does that 2nd bulletpoint mean? I get all of the FAAB stuff will be processed at 2am.. but does that mean I can just pick someone up at 5:01am for free? So if somehow everyone has forgetten to put a claim in for Ogletree at 2am, at 5am I can just snap him up for free?

Yeah. Anyone not picked up by that time becomes free until the kickoff time of their game on Sun/Mon.

For things like a bye week kicker or defense, this is quite useful as you can often get them for free. And it also means that if you blow all your waiver budget early you're not completely locked out of waivers.

But the likelihood of a good player sneaking through is pretty slim. Really just kickers, since no one needs 2 for the whole season.

Got it.. thanks. Will adjust waivers accordingly.

Will all pickups lock tomorrow because of the thursday game? Or will players not playing on Thursday still be avail?

Only Thursday players lock at their game time.

Waivers have been processed and the Kevin Ogletree stampede is over. Across the the five leagues, he went for $9, $10, $11, $16, and $95.

Knowshon Moreno was also picked up in all leagues (except for Dynasty, where he was drafted). He went for $6, $6, $8, and $10

Another name I saw a lot this morning was Dennis Pitta. His price was $4, $8, $9, and $15. He's still a free agent in Silver.

Other interesting pickups include:
Cincinnati Bengals for $10
Curtis Brinkley for $15
Stephen Hill for $17
Andrew Hawkins for $35
Zach Miller for $51

All remaining free agents are now available first come, first serve.

Remember to get your Packers and Bears in before tonight.

Ninety five?!?!?!? In the first week?!?!!??

Also, Pitta's probably not going to see as many targets going forward. I think Flacco kept looking to him because, well, they're basically best friends, but in the long haul I don't necessarily see him getting as many looks. Dickson is a better receiving threat, but Flacco hasn't really had any time to work with him (or Pitta) this past offseason since he was injured. Who knows? Pitta may be the guy going forward, but only because Flacco's playing favorites.

That's why I took him for $4 in the keeper league. If he pans out he's a nice flex and might be a nice keep for next year, if not, hey all I lost was Sanu, who doesn't seem to be worth keeping anyway.

Good pick up on Streater, btw. I had him in my waivers, but since my Hawkins grab went through I had no where left to put him on the roster. I'm curious if I needed all $15 for Hawkins, he looked good and I wanted to grab him at a price that might potentially still be a keeper for next year while still making sure I outbid you jackals.

Edit: fix grammatical errors. I'm really liking my teams moving forward in both keeper and gold. Lots of coverage for bye weeks and match-ups, and none of my starters with major injury or positions concerns (well, except Vick, but I've got 2 QBs as backups just in case). I was contemplating trades but looking at it now I like the depth I've got so far and just want to see what happens in Week 2.
