really? not that the skins are any good, but the post bountygate saints are an enormous question mark.

Eh, as long as Brees is healthy any thing else is a non issue.

Don't get me wrong. I think the Saints might be a great team this year, but the fact that their entire coaching staff is out on suspension and half their defense won't play the first 8 games makes me very nervous about starting them to win on the first game of an elimination league. The skins will be lucky to win 8 games this year, but this one looks like one they might actually pull off.

If I remember correctly only one of the players that got suspended was even still part of the team. No worries. Let's get back to hoping Washington and TB make a decent showing

I looked at a schedule for like 10 min then even tried to to map it out on Excel to find the optimal pick for week to week. Then I gave up...

My loser this week is the
Rams

Looks like we're underway with Bill Bonney and Kush15 having a rooting interest in this game (both chose the Cowboys to lose). We ened up with 28 entrants, which should allow us to get pretty deep into the season before everyone is knocked out.

If it's not too late I'll take the 49ers.

If it's not too late for me as well, I'll take the Dolphins. Sorry, just saw the thread.

No problem, I'll add you guys.

If it's not too late I'll take the Giants oops.

Ugh went big and now I'm out. Good luck all!

I was going to proclaim myself a football genius until I realized I screwed up the SF vs. GB and NYG vs. D game calls in the other thread.

I expected the Browns to lose but I thought the Eagles would do a better job of it.

Yeah, the Rams made it quite the game against the Lions as well. This is why I never last more than a few weeks in games like this.

So, are we getting a week 2 thread or should we post here?

Here - I'll get the updates up this evening along with next week's schedule.

Okay. Week 2 and I'm ready to roll the dice a little. Not a lot, but a little.

Put me in for the Lions. It's not that they are truly that bad. It is that after that performance that the Niners pulled off last week you'd have to be the GOP senatorial candidate from Missouri to go against them.

You're in, but I gave you the most popular pick of the week - the Dolphins, so you're still in it heading into week 2.

That was just a joke post for week one. I had picked the Rams earlier in the thread.

I break on humor.

Yeah, I just saw that as I was confirming last week's results.

Alright - the main post has been updated with the people who picked winners last week. We lost 8 of our 30 participants, with the 49ers alone taking half of those. Congrats to willhouse4078 for a shrewd pick of the Packers for week 1. Here's this week's schedule.

Thursday:
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers

Sunday:
Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals
Minnesota Vikings at Indianapolis Colts
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars
Oakland Raiders at Miami Dolphins
Arizona Cardinals at New England Patriots
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New York Giants
Baltimore Ravens at Philadelphia Eagles
Washington Redskins at St. Louis Rams
Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks
New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers
Tennessee Titans at San Diego Chargers
Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers

Monday:
Denver Broncos at Atlanta Falcons

Please have all picks in by the start of Thursday night's game. If yours isn't, you'll be given the most popular pick of the week.

I'll take the Lions away at SF.

SF looked damn good last week and I don't expect the Lions to lose too many games.

I'll pick the Jaguars in week 2 to get steamrolled by Houston.

I'll take the Cardinals.

Cardinals

Cardinals, no doubt.

I'll take the Jaguars this week

My pick is the Rams

I'm going to pick up the Lions please.

I'll have the Colts, please.

Wow rough weak where most of the weaker teams are playing at home. I will take the Cardinals. If Skelton was healthy I'd be worried about the Patriots doing one of their random losses of the year but back-up QB and on the road makes it the safest of all the picks. Cardinals defense is for real though.

I am going bold with the Steelers.
