NFL 2012 Week 1 Thread

I'm guessing you can't run ethernet since it's an apartment. What about the homeplug networking stuff?

I might look into that too.

Cameron Bradfield and Eben Britton tweaked and on the sideline. Guy Whimper is in the game.

Whimper already has a hold, a false start, and a blown block for a QB pancake to his name.

Oh god, it begins again.

I've been flipping back and forth between the debuts of Tannehill and Weeden. This is awesome, no matter what happens the rest of the year, it's going to seem better in comparison.

Redskins at Saints: Because they're at home. Seriously? Someone would pick the Redskins here?

Well, so far, it's looking like whomever did made a good pick.

I still chose the Saints, but I thought people were way underrating the damage that the post-bounty disarray has done to the well-oiled Saints offensive machine. Now I'm thinking even I was underrating it. Brees is throwing below 50% right now.

And a high Locker pass got Nate Washington killed. On top of that Locker makes the tackle after the fumble and now he's down.

Legion, besides the not so bad buffering and soft quality, are there any DVR-type functions for the PS3 streams? Can you rewind or pause? I was considering it but will miss my Tivo functions and the price put me off.

Yes, you can pause, and you can rewind the stream you've been watching back to the point where you started watching it. (Not sure how long that rewind history goes if you stay on one stream for a long time, as I bounce over to Red Zone Channel during commercials in the Jaguar game).

The price, well, yeah. It's my annual Jaguars season ticket. Hurts less to think of it that way.

Adrian Peterson limited reps my ass.

Haha. Vick gets his 4th INT of the day and it's for 6. Cleveland might win.

I chose the Skins. Whee!

OT in Minnesota.

OT in Minnesota.

^^ This, my friends, is the definition of a Tannhausering.

Typical Jeff Fisher soft defense at the end of the game.

Good to know, thanks. And yeah I can understand about the price for you. Only $20 per Gabbert start.

Tebow recovers onside kick, saves game.

ALL HE DOES IS WIN.

Jake Locker was injured in the 3rd quarter, yet with only two runs to his credit he led Tennessee in rushing.

Watching the Bears game, Marshall looks great and I didn't realize how big Michael Bush is.

Luck hasn't been bad, a mix of nice throws and bad decisions trying to force plays, his O-line has been porous. His stat line will look worse than it should be, he's had a few drops and some tipped balls.

Yeah I'm feeling pretty great about my Chris Johnson pick in fantasy. :p

Good, isn't he? Chicago has a strong 1-2 RB situation now.

Nice, with the early Wed game, and the double-header Mon night, there's only 3 afternoon games. I'll get to see a good chunk of both the Niners and Bucs games just on RedZone. Blackout be damned for the Bucs. :p

EDIT: Wait, wtf?! Did they change the blackout rules more than just the 85% thing? Because I'm seeing the 49ers on FOX right now!

CJ2K only need 1,996 more yards.

Defense sure let the Jags down at the end. That deep Gabbert TD to Shorts with 14 seconds left sure would have made for a nice game-winner.

Holy crap we need officials now. 1 possession in the SF-GB game and already a blown call on the punt.

He was bad, BUT Patriots D line was scary good.

My local Fox affiliate is still on the Eagles game

Doug Martin is my new best friend. Several nice runs, a phenomenal leaping catch, and he actually blocked a blitzer. A Bucs RB blocking a pass rusher. I didn't know things like that actually could exist.

Yeah, it wasn't all Johnson's fault that's for sure. Wilfork was especially disruptive and I'll forever hate the Patriots for getting Hightower in the draft. He was so close to being a Raven.
