No offense but I don't think pick ems work like that.

Well, maybe they should. It might stop global warming.

Just a thought.

If it makes NHL 13 get here any quicker, I'm down.

A story hit yesterday that a massive douchebag in the Maryland legislature sent a letter to the Ravens complaining that linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo was publicly stating his support for gay marriage, and sent the Ravens a letter essentially telling them to shut him up. They're ignoring him (obviously), and Emmitt C. Burns Jr. is getting his moronic butt kicked around. Most eloquently by, who else, Chris Kluwe.

It's vintage Kluwe. Which means it's (A) hilarious, (B) appropriate, and (C) totally NSFW.

Your link is a little broken.

Saints bounty players suspensions overturned.

Fixed. Had an extra url= in there.

The comments in that link astound me.

If I was a Saints fan, I would be disgusted that this was happening on my team. Yet so many are saying things like,"Take that Goodell" and wondering when/if this means Sean Payton will be able to coach this season.

Funny that my thoughts are going out to the players that got hurt and the players that will get hurt in the future seeing as this is now kosher in the NFL.

Bounties like this having been going on for decades...nothing about the ruling or the now overturning of that will change it.

The biggest issue for me is the lack of evidence or, more accurately, the fact that they refuse to share their evidence. On top of that, what little evidence they have shown has been unreliable. They released some pages from a ledger that said the date of a game and how many knock outs and cart offs they needed to pay out on, but, when you look back, the games didn't have any serious injuries.

I know it's not criminal court with the standard rights that go along with it, but those rights exist for a reason, and I have a hard time passing judgment when it's the league office saying, "These guys did something, trust us. Evidence? We have 50,000 pages of it, but we're not going to show you anything conclusive." That's the part that annoys me.

Hmm..if there is such a complete lack of evidence, why has there not been a peep from the coaches that were suspended?

Because the Ginger hammer is large and they would like to work in the NFL in the future.

Today, Ronde Barber starts his first game at safety, after 199 consecutive games starting at CB. 200 straight games started; suffice to say, by far a record for a defensive back (the record for safety is Willie Wood, at 154; almost four full seasons behind). Assuming Ronde starts every game this year (which is a bet I would take), he'll move into a tie for sixth place all-time for starts (tied with Alan Page).

While Ronde's played in a scheme that's had him cover the short field more and therefore not run the deep routes, it's also a much more physical scheme for a CB; he's averaged almost 70 solo tackles a year during his career. Phenomenal streak in a position that doesn't support being able to play every game without injury.

And he's the better twin to boot.

"Hey, look, it's the tallest midget in the world."

Reason #475 that NFL Sunday Ticket is the best thing ever: Channel 707, RGIII's first start. 708, Andrew Luck's first start. 709, Tannehill's first start. 711, Locker's first start.

Edit: Probably a bad sign that I completely forgot Brandon Weeden's first start on 704.

They need to get the real refs back. They're missing too many obvious calls like PI and sideline catches.

I just keep it on RedZone. See all the good stuff, scores and turnovers.

I'm really enjoying the battle between Weeden being unable to do anything and Tannehill doing terrible things; it's been entertaining to flip back and forth. How does a guy as tall as Tannehill get two passes tipped high in the air in the first half alone? You're TALL.

Yeah, I miss it.

RGIII is looking goooooood.

Anyone watching the Jets? Do they have an offense or is the defense helping out immensely?

Defense. Fitzpatrick is terrible. A couple of INTs already and a fumble by Spiller. And one punt return TD for the Jets too.

Is Griffin that good or is the Saints defense that bad? All I've seen is what Redzone has shown me.

I'd say more bad Saints defense, plus the Redskins are running a rookie-friendly scheme at the moment; I've seen a bunch of bubble screens, plus just a couple basic slants where there's been nobody in the middle of the defense (including that one long TD pass). RGIII really hasn't been that incredibly accurate, but the WRs have been making catches and the Saints just aren't playing defense. There have been a bunch of called runs, though, and the guy just isn't big enough to take that pounding.

In other news, this is Brandon Weeden's first-half stat line:

6/17, 48 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT

God hates Cleveland.

Titans O line is so bad. Locker gonna get legit killed.

Got Sunday Ticket running on my PS3. Right now it's hooked up to a wireless-G bridge. I need to get a wireless-N bridge, hopefully the stream quality will be better. It's smooth though, no heavy frame dropping. Just could be a bit sharper, though it's better than the 480p rips of preseason games I downloaded.

You get rid of Direct TV?

Channel switching is quicker than I expected, which I'm happy about. I figured it would be a painful buffer time. It has to buffer, but it's not very painful. Really not all that much longer than the delay in switching channels on the old DirecTV box.

I'm in an apartment now where I don't have any good position for a DirecTV dish. Otherwise I would still be on DirecTV.

So, for this year, it's Sunday Ticket on PS3.

Locker will be fine, but the running game looks dead for sure.

I'm guessing you can't run ethernet since it's an apartment. What about the homeplug networking stuff?

Yeah, I think Johnson is done. He is stutter stepping every run and won't run between the tackles anymore.

PS3 only supports G. If you want improvement, get some long Ethernet cable.
