It's actually BYU/Washington State, right? Crazy Mike Leach rides again!

Leach for president.

Yes, I was being lazy. Mike Leach makes the game so much more interesting.

I'm excited about Notre Dame's opening game against Navy...in Dublin, Ireland! Hopefully the game is good, but the real reason to watch are Notre Dame's cleats:

Oh, and it gives people an excuse to drink at 9 am.

Mike Leach is wildly entertaining, and I will probably pull for him for the rest of my life. Crazy sumFemale Doggo.

Vandy - SCar is a great game right now! Knotted up, nearly halftime.

Well, S Carolina pulled it out, but if their QB got that beat up against Vanderbilt, how can he last all season? Great game, period.

Now, bring on the return of Leach!

That was an awesome game till that ref who had money on the game blew that blatant PI call.

I missed that one; bedtime for two kids makes it hard to catch every play.

I'm sure it will be on ESPN. It was the final play for Vandy,

The Pirate (Leach) just went for it on 4th down inside his own 30 and converted!

And this amazing wrong-way run happened tonight:

I feel bad for the guy but can't stop laughing.

What's worse, the run, or the several guys that tackled him before he could give them a safety.

Yeah that was a joke. Feel bad for Vandy. An opening week game at home, with rain the first half, and a half-injured opposing QB... it's like the perfect storm of events to allow them to actually beat a top 10 SEC team. And they got it taken away by a horrible call.

Yep, it pretty much sucks.

Yeah, Washington State was a non-starter. Too bad.

Anyone excited for any games tonight? There are a couple decent ones, but they don't interest me a ton. I'm considering going out instead.

I am pretty interested in the Boise State vs. Michigan State game. Is Boise to the point that they reload, and are the Spartans ready to step from the 2nd tier?

My guess is yes, and no, respectively but since we haven't seen either play...is just a guess.

Welcome to the SEC, we protect the high ranked teams. South Carolina was outplayed almost the entire game by Vandy. Franklin has turned Vandy around and it's an outstanding accomplishment. No way they get that close two or three years ago.

South Carolina is probably the most over hyped team in college football. Lattimore had glimpses of his former self, but I do not think he's 100% mentally. I hope Shaw and Lattimore both stay healthy so the Hogs can pick them apart for the forth year in a row.

BYU has decent defense and they shut Leach down. It'll be really interesting to see what happens at Wash. St. in the next year or two after Leach has time to develop some real talent.

Good first half, Boise-MSU. 3 point game.

Outside of Bell, this game has been uuuuugly

What a wussy QB slide by Boise where the QB gave up a likely 1st down in order to avoid contact. On third down.

What a horrible performance by Cal today. Game started off badly enough as our #1 QB (Zach Maynard) was benched for the first 2 or 3 series for breaking some team rule. Our backup was simply awful which doesn't bode well should we lose Zach Maynard. Basically 2 series of 3 and out against a team we should beat. Our only first down in the first 2 series was from a defensive holding. Our offense is horrific... we coudlnt' get our run game going.. we missed easy passes and dropped easy catches. Cal also has a chronic problem of giving up big chunks of yards on the 3rd down especially when its like 3rd and 7-10 yards.. I seriously think we do a better job of stopping teams at 3rd and 3 than 3rd and 9.

What a sick feeling I have about this season now... 8-4 and 7-5 are probably long shots... 6-6 would be a win if we can't show a whole lot of progress from this stinker.

Could be worse. Starting every year as a fan of this team is pretty rough. At least Cal is dangerous most seasons these days.

Newfound SEC bias to the side, I'll be shocked if Alabama doesn't move up to number one this week. Beating #8 Michigan impressively is much more convincing than beating unranked Hawaii.

And ESPN College Gameday will broadcast from College Station next week, as the Aggies take on Florida. MyBrainHz, we need to meet up for a drink!

Louisville-Kentucky 3:30. CardStrong!

Really the ONLY reason Michigan is ranked that high was their QB's mad athletic skills. They would have lost so many games last year if he didn't come through.

Yeah, I think Michigan will tumble out of the top ten, at least. Alabama just mauled them.

So pumped for College Football today! I don't really care who wins the Aggie/Florida game. New coach, and a season opener. It's going to be a tough game for sure, but I'm pulling for the Aggies (it's better for them to be undefeated when my Hogs come to town). I hope Mizzou loses big. They challenge LSU fans for the most annoying and big headed. If I hear another Mizzou fan brag about their 2007 Cotton Bowl win as a sign of how dominant they'll be in the SEC I may vomit.

My Hogs need to show something on D this weekend. I'll be watching the o line closely as well. Having two Heisman hopefuls in the backfield means nothing if the o line won't step up and block. I was very underwhelmed last weekend and UL-Monroe isn't Alabama, but a good showing you help end my unease.

So this week it's Go Hogs, Go Dawgs and Gig Em, Aggies!

How are LSU fans any more annoying than Arkansas fans? Is it because we usually win? We just support our team the way you do. I've gone to Fayetteville to watch LSU play the Hogs, and I have to say I've never seen more country-bumpkin hillbilly people at a football game. But I could say similar things about Florida fans who tend to lean to minor acts of violence when they lose. Every school has its fans who go too far, but most just support their school and enjoy the game.

If the Dawgs were at full strength, I would have no worries about Mizzou, but missing 4 starters on defense might prove costly.
