Rats at 1 today but I'm at sea world. Will track on my phone if I can.

The Cardinals play at 3 today, but I will be doing homework at the library. I'll try to keep tabs online.

Damn A's. Go back to Cali.

At first I was shocked at the idea all those guys could clear waivers, but I guess they're owed so much money that other GMs don't want to bite. Craziness.

I suspect it's going to be an interesting couple days of sports radio up here in Mass. I don't care about the Red Sox, but I love hearing how angry dudes get up here about 'em.

pretty crazy.

Gonzo is already listed as a Dodger on my yahoo fantasy and supposedly playing tonight

As a Red Sox Fan, I don't think you'll hear much anger. At least with me, this is pure elation. The core of that team seems to have been become fat and happy, not to mention ineffective. Crawford never seemed to mesh with the team, and Gonzales seems to be the head of undermining Bobby V.

I am shocked the Dodgers and picking up all the salary, along with a declining pitcher (Beckett) and a player coming off Tommy John.

I think they a desperate to get good now. Gonzales is a stud and Becket has only two years left. The Crawford part is scary.

Doubled up Texas on hits and the Rays are still losing.

Not over yet, but damn frustrating so far. Especially the bases loaded, 1-out, hit into a double play a couple innings back.

Oakland is in sole procession of the wild card and is 16, 16! games above .500!

Good god the Orioles continue to play good ball. I'm speechless. I truly thought Peter Angelos would have to be in the grave before they had a winning record again.

Heck if the Rays can wake up and sweep the Yankees at home this week, we'll be right back in it for the division.

The Rays are only 1.5/2.5 games back. I wouldn't make the assumption anyone's going to be a Wild Card team. Yet.

Yeah, I'm hoping the O's get at least 2 out of 3 from of them right now and put the fear of god into them. Truth be told, I hope the Rays sweep em too. F- the Yankees.

Any Red Sox fans here?

20 to 2.

Exciting finish for the Rays last night, but not the result we were looking for. Tying run tagged out at the plate in the bottom of the ninth.

EDIT: And holy crap this afternoon's game ends the same way, except in the Ray's favor!

Anyone who went to the games in Toronto got their money's worth the last 18 hours.

Why is the ballpark so empty? It's a Friday night and this is a very important series for both teams. I was hoping it would be full.

Are you seriously unaware of TB's pathetic attendance history?

Weirdly, I was at that game while on vacation!

The O.A.R. concert was alright, but the baseball was better. Really impressed with the way that Tampa puts the whole experience together (and the free t-shirt didn't hurt!) I'll post some photos when I've got the chance.

The Brits that I went with loved it, as a first baseball experience. I personally was disappointed at the attendance, but then I'm used to StL crowds.

TB stadium sucks. I hate that stadium and I used to go to a bunch of games every year before I moved.

I love the Trop. Maybe it's you that sucks, karma. :p

Naw. The upper level actually BLOCKS the view of the mid-level and box seats. Would you want to pay that kind of money and not even be able to see where the fly balls go? Also the outfield seats on the deep sides are not even slanted toward home, they are slanted to look at the seats across the stadium! I went to a Cleveland game and that field was much better.

Yes, for better or, at least this year, worse. They've been going in the wrong direction for a couple of years now. Firing Terry Francona was a horrible decision and the whole team/season suffered as a result. Bobby Valentine was a terrible replacement, IMO.

I'm a 'fan'. I agree with Bobby V being a bad replacement. I stuck up for him until about the all-star break and then realized this guy with this team is and will never gel.

The block buster trade that Cherington pulled off in order to rebuild the team scored an A+ in my book. I hope he/they goes for extra credit by unloading Bobby.

Hey Rays beat the Yankees yesterday. A couple more wins and this thing is going to get really tight.

Still a month to go, but what a race it looks to be.

Rays making this series a fight for the AL East!

Yes! Great game by the Rays tonight. And the Orioles.

NY-Bal tied for the division. Rays 1.5 back.

September baseball is awesome.

Dammit I hate the Yankees.

Still we've won 11 of the last 13 at home against them, going back to last season.

But Jeter made a ridiculous catch in the 7th with 2 men on that probably would have tied if it got through to the outfield.

Now we get a day off before the Texans come to town. Go Rays!

Huge Red Sox fan here. Saw 6 games last year at 4 different parks. Unfortunatly no games this year.

Anyway, even after the trade we still have the heart of the team in Peddy, Ortiz, Els, Buchholtz, and Lester. Those are 5 solid players we should be able to build around. Lavarnway, Bard, Miller and Middlebrooks will be solid additions when everyone gets pro ball ready. I'm excited for next year. We just need to get rid of Dice-k and Lackey so we can rebuild our god awefull pitching staff.

I'm excited for next year as well, but given the current state of their roster, I'm not sure they'll be in a position to contend with the heavy hitters. They've nailed the first part of a rebuild— freeing up money. The next part now is to add pieces to the puzzle, which I believe will still be going on well into next year.

Yeah, but won't the Sox have a new coach as well next year?

Is there anyone who hasn't hit a HR for the Orioles tonight? I think Cal Ripkin Jr even suited up and knocked one out.

Mark Reynolds may have saved my fantasy season. A very nice play tonight
