Syndicate Catch-All

Friday night is date night, so that's out unfortunately. I could play Saturday during the day... not sure on my friend, but at the very least I could learn the ropes and teach him. If that works for you, or anyone else here, let me know!

Just found this thread.

Yah, I can't really commit to anything prior to 9 central any night of the week:(

Ok, good to know. I will give a heads up in this thread as soon as I know my free evenings next week.

You can get an invite from any board member of StanliTech. I can promote a few more employees to the board so that we're fully staffed.

This is still the game that I want to be playing whenever I'm too busy to play anything. Sigh.

That would be year to get a promo. I will be playing until I 1k.

We have a Goodjer corporation called StanliTech. I can't remember if you can apply or if we have to invite you. If you can't find a way to apply, add me on Xbox Live and I can invite you. Speaking of, now that we have some new blood, anyone for getting them up to speed on corporate policy? :)

Hey all, we're giving it a shot this afternoon. If someone can invite me to StanliTech please do so! I sent Parallax and gains a friend request. If anyone wants to join us, send me a message over live.

I'll be at my TV in a little bit. I'll invite you once I get your friend request.

Well, after about 45 minutes of failing on a few missions, my buddy informed me that he will not be playing any more of the game. I was enjoying it even in spite of the frequent deaths, so I'll likely give single player a go and will hopefully learn a thing or two.

The multi is very different from the campaign. Though some of the shootouts are similar the weapon balance and the hack effects are different.

When I'm on a co-op mission I'm usually pressing the hack switch more often than the trigger to keep the squad buffed and, well, alive.

I've promoted a few more members to the board.

Let me know when you are down for some coop!

Wow, this game has been heating up again. I'd like to get in on a Friday night session if there's enough interest.

Makes sense. Our setup was that I was playing a defense build, and was applying shields and trying to keep my buddy healed. He was playing the sniper build and was trying to take out enemies from a distance.

The main problem was, he would either get tired of hanging back and would run out and get himself shot up, or would turn a corner and disappear without telling me, so I would no longer be able to heal him. I guess it is just not his type of game; he wanted to be independent and keep moving forward, which seems pretty incompatible with the game, at least at our level of play.

If you all don't mind a newbie, I think I could stay home this Friday night and play.

I could do Friday after 9 for a couple hours. If we do it on normal, we should be able to blow through all the maps quick.

Yeah, 4 players is really a requirement. I swear, they did such a good job of making the co-op work "as it's meant to be played" but that inflexibility was a strike against them in most reviews.

I miss Syndicate but I've dropped two milestones on my writing projects and if I don't put in more evening hours on it I'm going to freak out. (I had to take a break for Spec Ops because nothing improves writing like suffering.)

By the way, we're 87th in the world right now. Fortune 100 company.

Syndicate acquired.

Newly promoted agent seeking corporate sponsorship.

Correspondence sent to appropriate board members and awaiting further action.

I'll be in my bunk.

Yeah this Friday, let's DO THIS. I will be online around 9pm PST prowling around for fellow Stanlitech operatives.

Because a lot of people hate useful headset communication and want to play "cooperative" games which are barely cooperative at all. Luckily for all of us not just looking for death match with teams and a few lame extra rules, Syndicate requires a ton of cooperation and coordination for things to go right. And that group effort is why I love Syndicate co-op - the panic, the frenzy, the hearty chuckles and the congrats. Why this isn't more folks' idea of fun, I'll never know. But then I've never understood the jollies some seem to get out of screaming "Female Doggo" and "p*ssy", either.

I'm confirmed for Friday evening as well. Should be around by 9pm EST, probably earlier, so I'll keep an eye open around 10 EST for Sally.

I should be around Friday too if there's room. I still gotta' max out my upgrades!

I'm in for Friday as well.

I'm finding the co-op to be very reminiscent of Brink with the focus on objective based progression through multi-stage levels and varying objectives throughout. And if you spec your Agent with team buffs, it's very much like throwing out extra ammo and health in Brink as well. And they give you the stripped down parkour movement using the jump button to mantle over objects as well.

I will say though, that the feeling of locomotion is very underwhelming in this game. Even with sprinting I still feel like I'm slogging through knee-high water. I get that it's supposed to be more tactical than a run-n-gun (a la Halo/CoD) but then they throw you in situations where taking cover isn't the best option and you are almost forced to run around.

I just picked this up on sale. 9PM PST is pretty late for me but if I'm around and there's an opening, I'd love to give it a shot with you guys.

It's 9 central, 10 eastern usually.

Everyone: All my stuff is pretty much maxed out so if there are four people on to play aside from me I'd rather they get the learning experience, but if you wind up with just 2 and I'm online feel free to invite me.

Oh, my mistake. Yeah, I can do 10PM.

It is looking like we will have over 4 ppl(nice!) so we might have to cycle people through a bit. I am pretty close to maxed out, so I can get the party started and then sit out. However it plays out, I will be online.

Lobster, we are talking about the 360 version to confirm.

Oh.

Never mind.

I'll try to get on earlier but have a feeling many rooms will be in full swing already.

PC Download is $10 on Amazon?

Screw it, I'll double-dip. Then I have less excuse to not play. Unless I still need to rake my psyche over the coals with another pass at Spec Ops first.

How does the company organizing thing work on PC? In-game voice or do you need Skype?

Want to be my Syndicate buddy, gains? I promise I won't use my persuadertron on you.

Got permission to play tonight.
