The Walking Dead (from Telltale Games) - Catch All

RE: Duck

Spoiler:

There are multiples times that you can "help" Duck. It's not just the one big choice.

I had the same thing and thought it was an import bug.

Spoiler:

The big choice was saving Duck or Shawn at the tractor.

But I suppose there was also an issue between

Spoiler:

Kenny and Larry in episode 1, where they claimed Duck had been bitten. I waited a bit trying to defuse that situation, unsure who to side with and if the kid really had been bit. So maybe that's the one where I could have immediately supported Kenny and not been treated so rudely in Ep2. And if I'd known how big an ass Larry was going to be leaving me for dead in the store then I would have. ;)

The iOS version of episode two is supposed to be out next week.

With the news of Episode 3 coming out today, I had to finish Episode 2 last night. Wow.

Spoiler:

It's funny, I got a little spoiled a few pages back about Kenny killing an innocent man, and assumed it was in reference to leaving the barn, after taking care of Larry, so I took the hay hook instead of the mini-cattle prod, figuring Kenny would then have a stun device and not be able to kill an unarmed monster who was eating people. I had a hard time seeing that as "killing an innocent man", but why would someone lie in a spoiler block? I left both brothers alive, in the end, and I explained to Clem why taking the food and supplies from the car was different from the bandits' work after I emptied the car. I wanted to only take some, but it didn't seem to give me the option of only taking one or two boxes. Oh well, I called out before approaching the car, it is abandoned now.

The Larry situation, though. Rough. I was starting to think he was going to have a heart attack when he wouldn't let up on the door, and I knew we didn't have his pills, but when he collapsed I was pretty worried. Lilly is right next to him, in easy biting reach. Kenny and I have no weapons handy, and Larry could overpower either one of us - probably both of us - without much effort. And Clem is in there. Can I trust Lilly to kill Zombie Larry before he kills someone else? Would she even have a chance to do it? Kenny is right, Larry is gone, and taking care of the situation now before more people die is the only option. I understand Lilly being upset. I understand Clem being freaked out. Welcome to the new world. Kenny did a real number with that cube, it was pretty bad; but let's be honest - Larry was no innocent survivor. He literally tried to leave Lee to be eaten by zombies - actively caused a situation where it could happen. He wasn't going to stop taking those kind of chances with Lee's life, even if he was capable of surviving a heart attack with no medical availability.

Nice set up for the next part, too. The woman in the video saying everything would be fine as long as they got food from the farm... I really hope the eventual attack is lessened by leaving the cannibals alive, but I doubt it.

Did Garry Whitta write this entire episode?

I believe he is doing #4.

Played The Walking Dead: Episode 3 for about an hour last night. I noticed that this time around the decisions seem to have more weight. The world has truly gone to hell... Anyone else had a chance to play yet?

When is this updating on Steam?

I really wish I could take a few hours off in the coming days to get to this... maybe I can carve time out this weekend.

It's an odd, funny relationship I have with this game. I am eager to get to the next part of the story, but once I start playing, I get genuinely stressed and bummed out and want to stop playing.

Yyyyyaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy!

This is exactly how I am. I have been dying to play Episode 3. After playing for an hour last night though, I woke up this morning feeling massively bummed and questioning the decisions I had made. Can't think of any other game that has had this effect on me.

Ha! I'm much the same.

I approach this series like I would a wounded animal, cautiously and with a bit of dread. A funny sensation in my stomach from not knowing what to expect.

It reminds me of the first time I watched Alien or John Carpenters’ The Thing. The suspense nearly broke me but I was so captivated I couldn’t turn away.

Tough to resist the urge to replay. I don't want to see behind the curtain or something and realize my choices might not be as big as I feel like they are when playing it the first time.

Just going to keep playing and going with my gut, and see where I end up.

Come on ep3!

Steam cheevos have updated but the episode isn't playable yet. At least not on my puter.

Yeah apparently the achievements updated 2 days ago.
