Blood Bowl game Catch-All

The Chaos edition will be out by then

...

Well.

I'm sure it will be more convenient and generally work better than ALL those previous editions.

Yep.

%100 confident.

OKAY!!!

Leagues have been wiped out and all teams removed. If you want to apply to the new and improved GWJ Slap & Tickle league please do so with any TV and the password is Stan

The Scrubs league has also been reset and will be accepting any teams with a TV of 1000 or less. Password is newmeatGWJ

I will accept applications until i have a decent number of teams and then go ASAP because i want people to get playing again, all double round-robin's have been disabled, and playoff size will be determined by the amount of total teams in each league.

Hello anybody home? did interest in the game dry up?

I played the tutorial on Saturday. I'm a bit confused. What's the strategy besides group everyone up at the line to knock people down and always surround your ball carrier?

Minimize risk. Try to roll as infrequently as possible while making your opponent roll more often than they're comfortable. Keep in mind that a botched roll will end your turn. So if you're forcing the other person to make crazy rolls to stay in the game, you'll probably win.

If you have Legendary edition, I can walk through a game with you on vent. It makes more sense when someone teaches you.

Or you should just play Hox. He's terrible =)

Yo...don't hate

Oily, Prozac, and I are all pretty good teachers, just ping any of us for a game online while chatting on vent.

Yes... Teachers... Come play with us... Forever and ever and ever...

Sooo, my Warhammer tabletop group just decided to create a Blood Bowl Legendary league and I have not a clue how this game works. I may be pinging some of you guys pretty soon here to ask for some assistance

Okay will do sometime.

Just submitted teams for the two leagues, so hopefully we get enough people to get this thing going again.

I've got about 3 teams in Scrubs, and S&T, and 2 teams in Iron. This isn't enough to start a season... what's the deal guys? Are we calling the GWJ leagues done, and just keeping the Open League running for random matches?

If that's the case i'll probably join the Rock Paper Shotgun league, or the Giant Bomb (if they have one) or any other league that someone is playing in, but unless we get some more teams in soon we'll have to put all of these to rest.

I'm wondering if the Chaos edition will spark a revival?

I'm thinking probably not.

I know I haven't put any teams in to leagues yet, but I'm still always up for open league games, timezones permitting. I don't really have the drive to commit to serious leagues at the moment with the teething 6 month old. (on my knee "helping" me to type this).

But if anyone is looking for a social shoot the sh*t on vent with the game as a focal point hit me up.

I think I have a pretty good handle on my schedule now. I can't join a league because I will be REALLY inconvenient to schedule a match with. Seriously, any match will need to be scheduled after 11 pm EST or be a complete crapshoot.

Bringing this thread back for the sale this weekend - Steam's got LE for $10. And, it seems, if you own LE, you can buy Chaos for $10. Chaos alone is $30, so that's not a bad deal.

If anyone is interested in a small (4-6) league with a bi-weekly time limit, I'd be interested in setting it up. I need it to be a short-term commitment with lots of time to make each game for it to work with my schedule.

I'll get in on that league

bi-weekly or tri-weekly would work for me.

Having played the board game, it's high time I bought a PC version, and $5 for the Legendary Edition is a great price. Any reason I should spring for the Chaos Edition, other than the new races? Thanks!

I can't tell that CHAOS looks or plays any better than LEGENDARY. The new races really should have been released as an expansion. The two games are compatible with each other so save your money. Besides they'll probably release another version eventually...

AFAIK, Legendary players can play against Chaos players, but can't use the new classes themselves. Unless you're dead set on the Chaos edition teams, I think you're fine with Legendary edition.

Edit: It's worth noting that I think Chaos edition reaches feature parity with the board game's rule set and races available. The prospect of a new version anytime soon is unrealistic unless they can somehow market a more awesome (graphically) version with better SP AI, and fixes to well known bugs and UI issues.

It's that last statement that i want resolved, the streaky dice the known bugs, the crap UI those are my main issues with the game. As is it's a tolerable mess, but they're not getting any of my cash anytime soon.

...

Yes, that's all in the information out right now.

Think of the possibilities, like a UI.

Or multiplayer that doesn't involve configuring your router

Won't get fooled again.

If it's by Cyanide, I'm definitely going to wait and see.

But a Blood Bowl game with a sane UI, with functional multiplayer, that isn't horrifically prone to RNG exploits? I'd buy that, for sure.

I think I'll do the same.

for me it's all about the random number generator. One i hate any exploits but two the super streaky nature of triple 1's or 6's it's just not an accurate representation of real dice. I'd rather have them make it not so truly random if they favored other numbers slightly in the face of streaky rolls.
