Whoa first pick. Now I actually have to do some research. I can't use "so and so took my guy" as an excuse for screwing up. :D
Division opponents again as well. Should be fun!
No need to reschedule the draft on my account since it's the chosen time for the majority of people.
I'll just drop from the Dynasty league.
Im on vaca in vermont, but super hopeful i can at least be in person for the first 2 hours.

He's juicing with maple syrup!
Damn New England.
I want to keep 5 kickers on my team. Make it happen.
Good idea, especially for QBs.
Is there going to be a vent server like last year for this? Or, is the voice chat going to be done some other way this year? (I swear I saw a mention of a G+ Hangout somewhere in the thread.)

I'll be in vent if other people are in vent (the Alien Swarm channel is always free). I don't have a Google Plus account and I'm not making one just for fantasy football.

I can't see the Alien Swarm channel. For me the first server available is Awesomenauts.
GWJFFLD: Please note that the maximum roster size has been reduced from 25 to 23. Adjust your plans accordingly.
Additionally, in order to reduce the potential for hoarding, the individual positions have tighter maximums than in the other leagues.
The logic here is "Max = 3x Start and 1 extra for the flex positions." Please let me know if you have any concerns. I am willing to make adjustments. Thanks.
Looks good to me.
Probably the wrong place to bring this up, but what the hell: I assume that anyone picked up off waivers during the season is eligible to be kept "forever", correct? If so, I would like to make a motion that anyone picked up after the draft would, instead, be put back into the draft pool the next year. I understand that teams out of the playoff chase would probably like to start picking up young players to build for next year, but I'd rather reward owners that do great research before the season then an owner who may get "lucky" grabbing a guy during the season when other owners may have been occupied during a particular week. Plus, it would make next years draft a little stronger then it otherwise would have been.

Getting good players on the waiver wire takes just as much planning. If you aren't looking at the waiver wire then you are happy with your team so why should it matter?
Also, injuries on a team can dictate mid season waiver wire action. One year I had 5 starting RBs go down!
I threw a total pity pick at a player that I'm pretty sure is retired simply because he went to Minnesota.
So, it will be interesting to see how my picks of Gronk and Hernandez with my first 2 picks turns out for me this year.

I figured you took both with the intention of using Hernandez for trade bait. I should've took Gronk while I could.

Nope. I plan on keeping both.
I made a newb mistake and only picked one Team Defense. I did FF last year but didn't have this snafu. What are my options for somehow getting another or am I out of points for D on that BYE?

Unlimited waiver pickups. Just drop someone, anyone, and pick up a new D for that week.

I never said that it doesn't involve planning, I would rather just reward those owners that have planned ahead as opposed to an owner potentially picking up a player that has a breakout week and be able to keep him "forever". Truthfully, it's not a huge deal, but I figured I would bring it up to see if others are like-minded. Guess not.

I was once part of a league where they cutoff waiver pickups at like, week 10. I actually somehow ended up in the championship game with exactly *0* healthy running backs. That sucked. I can relate, hehe.
My non-GWJ league auto-drafted last night. It waited until round 14 to get me a QB, so Sam Bradford is supposed to lead the way for me this year.
Are the keeper values in ESPN going to be updated before the draft tonight? A lot of the values are off (for example, many players have a $0 keeper value).
When will we be able to put in claims on players? Our budgets are still $0 so I assume if I claim somebody now it won't stick.
Long story short, I had to remake Platinum. Platinum members should all have invitations to the new Platinum in their inboxes.
Feel free to drop from the old Platinum to avoid confusion.Sorry for the slightly extra work.I got Boogle to delete the old league so all you need to do is re-add.
Will the draft order go back to what it was?
