Breaking Bad: "Do it yourself"

Oof.

One thing I've really enjoyed this season has been all the references to Jesse James. Has anyone else seen The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford? Cause there are some interesting connections to made between Walt and Robert Ford. It's pretty evident foreshadowing to how things will go down.

Every episode of this season gets darker and darker. He really is going down the rabbit hole and it's beginning to spiral out of control. I laughed at the whole crying scene in Hanks office.

DO NOT WATCH if you haven't seen the latest episode, but this is an excellent example of the power of editing. Horrible, and yet I can't help but giggle.

the effect of a few simple editing cuts is powerful indeed. (and yeah, i giggled a bit as well)

[spoiler]Killing that kid just messed Jessie up. Feeling like that could ruin/kill Walt and everybody.

I don't watch the show (yet), but nobody seems to have posted in here that a Walter White is wanted for meth-cooking.

Very cool!

Wish the 5th season would hurry up and be over here already.

Spoiler:

"I'm not in the meth business or the money business. I'm in the empire business.

Wow, Walt's scary. But it's good to finally see what's motivating him. Reliance on "I gotta look out for my family" died after the carwash was proven profitable.

For every drug boss he's murdered (or has died because of him), he's replaced and superceded, this has been going on since season 1. Filling Fring's spot must seem inevitable to him.

Damn.

Spoiler:

It was inevitable, but damn. As soon as we see that shot of Walt looking into the trunk you wonder if it's going to happen. When Mike gets the last word in the conversation you know it's going to happen. And when Walt is just standing there, realizing what a mistake he's made all you can say is "Well, what the hell did you expect?" It's all down hill from here for Walt.

And on a side note, what a beautifully shot episode. Well, besides that one POV shot. That was a little awkward.

I figured it was coming, but still. f*ck.

Jesus Christ... One of those episodes that leaves you feeling cold and empty inside...

Man. Just....Man. This season has just gotten insane. That's about all I can say right now.

I hate Walt now. It's amazing how that feeling has made a complete 180. Wow

You know, that's a damn good point. I don't think I've ever switched on a main character so hard like this. Honestly, it's almost a detriment to the show for my wife and I.

Great gif

I think we should really expect that GIF to be as happy as a character is going to be able to get around Walt (to put it cryptically). This show is a rollercoaster of emotions and keeps you guessing down to the very last scene. The always go the hard route and when you expect something, they just take it to the next level and put a spin on it. Touching, gripping, cold and brutal. So glad this show exists, at least for another year.

Yeah, how's this season going to go down? I heard this is the last season, but it'll be split or something?

The moment Walt refused to take the money from his old friend so that he could make it by cooking meth on his own was the minute I flipped on him. He has treated his wife and everyone he has come into contact with like utter crap ever since.

Walt watched Jesse's girlfriend die without helping her, and let Jesses wallow in guilt. He tried to poison Brock, again using it as a way to drag Jesse through hell in order to get him bck on his side.

There has not been a redeeming quality about Walt since early in the first season. We are just watching him progress through the stages of evil.

I will say that it now feels like he has to die at the end. There is no more redemption possible, and I'm not sure we can live with him living happily ever after anymore.

This is "technically" the last season, but it is supposed to be a mid season break after Sunday and then wrap up with 8 episodes next year. But I'm just going with, they have one more season to ruin me on Television forever.

Found this on Reddit too:

Watching Walter's spiral / transformation into Heisenberg has been spectacular, painful, and scary...but it hasn't made me dislike Skyler any less. She bought this life and she deserves every minute of it.

And Hank is such a douchenozzle...I hope he gets fired.

Did anyone else mentally add "Female Doggo" to the end of "Say my name"?

Seeing Louis Ferreira as the other meth dealer made me really wish there was more Stargate Universe in our future

Had the exact same thought.
