NCAA 13 XBOX 2 Star Season 1 Week 9

WMU beats U Mass. IT was an ugly game as my starting QB threw 5 picks and was benched. Thankfully my defense held UMass to 10 points the whole game. I pretty much just ran the ball all game as Drake finished with 34 carrier for 194 yards and a TD.

CU and SDSU had a shoot out. SDSU was winning it 35-28 going into halftime. I was getting really aggravated with it. It seemed like no matter what I did on defense, one of their WR got open for a decent chunk of yards and I know they had more completions than I had passing attempts, but it was futile in the end. CU defense finally found firm ground and held, SDSU missed a FG and CU drove down to tie it up, very next play the returner fumbles the ball and CU punches it in again. That seemed to take the fight out of SDSU. CU wins 56-42.

I started to notice the changes to the sliders. There were a few times when my guy was wide open and he would drop the ball...it cost me two or three TDs...then there was another time my HB was standing open in the field, no defenders around for 20 yards and yet my QB just threw it way to far over his head...This was while I was down 21-7 so I was kinda angry. At least I didnt try to break my toe again.

I did post one highlight....you guys should take a look. The Defense had me cold, but somehow, someway, my guys made the play...3 broken tackles and a throw into double coverage resulted in a Heisman like play for my WR

Only myself, SpyNavy and one other remain. Spy though is gone for another week.

That's from the other league...but in this league, the schedule says SpyNavy versus Shag. The other game appears to be hoosierjoe's.

Following up on this:

I'm away from Sept. 1 – 8. That's my last travel until late October. I have games in both week 8 and 9.

If we can roll by Saturday, I'll play my week 8 game right away and be the trailing player in week 9.

If we can't get that done, and people are anxious to keep going, we could certainly sim one or both of those games. I'll keep up with recruiting. I play OSU in week 8 and Minnesota in week 9.

Whoops wasn't paying attention as to what topic it was

No, you posted in the right league, but your post would have been good in either thread! We only had 3 human games this week in the 2* league.

Ha! I recycled a post I made in the other league thread, thinking it was this one. Only Willhouse's comments described both leagues, so I left them!

To much confusion...

I will leave my game against SpyNavy up to the football gods. So basically it is Kush who is holding up the league.

So... I just lost "Hail Flutie" style to BYU. Up by 3, last second hail mary... tipped and caught.

Uploaded to video to the dynasty site... I have no words.

Hahahaha...good to blame things on Kush when you can!

"That I don't make enough money is clearly Kush's fault."

"Hurricane Isaac? Damn you, Kush!"

Not a bad week for IU recruiting wise. The OLB and FS come in 69 overall. I'm also now in the lead for three high-70s players: G, P, K!

Nice haul firesloth!

Fresno wins their game 21-14. I know these are two star schools but man does my team love to drop the ball when I pass it to them.

Have you tried setting your catching strategy to conservative? A tip I learned from SpyNavy...

I usually keep it at normal unless I am in a situation where it is needed. I might have to try that all game and see what happens.

You might have won vs me if you did that

Recruiting is bad for me. I'm going to have to get into and win some bowl games before I can get decent recruits

I do not mind a 6-2 record and so far undefeated in the conference. My big matchup is coming against USC. So we will see if these guys can learn how to catch a ball by then. Not getting big time recruits, but I am trying to fill the holes and then go after bigger recruits later as I bore them to death for hours on end.

Just keep telling yourself that a 6-2 record is more satisfying than beating Kush...

I do not mind the loss. It was a hard fought game. I am more pissed off that my tight end dropped a game winning touchdown in the corner of the endzone.

Western beats Ball State 28-13

IU beats Ohio State in double OT. It shouldn't have even gone to OT, as my kicker clanked his second kick off the post, this one a 24 yarder as time expired in regulation.

We shouldn't have even been tied, as both of OSU's TDs were crap. The first was after I had them stuck at 3rd and long. Their crappy QB threw up a prayer that was short. Two of my guys tipped it, but their WR ended up with it setting them up at the 5 yard line. The other TD came on a fumble return for a TD late in the game when I was up 14-7.

The game was scoreless until 13 seconds before the half. That was the result of three crazy plays: IU throws INT in the endzone (QB missed a wide open WR), OSU QB fumbles after long run, IU QB scrambles 11 yards for a TD.

OSU didn't score until the first play of the 4th quarter.

By the way, OSU had 121 yards of total offense to IU's 468.

Both sides had 4 turnovers.

I missed two makeable FGs. Both off the left post.

There were NO penalties on either side! That makes me happy.

I do not know when i will be able to get my game in. I'm moving over the weekend and the internet at my new place wont be up until Wednesday morning. If everyone is ready, feel free to roll on without me.

I got back tonight. Do I still have a game? I've lost track.
