I'm in for Ribfest.. Mrs. Tanglebones and a couple of friends will probably be coming along
Looking at October 9th, which is the long weekend we have always done it on, or the 23rd...waiting for people to post in the thread about what date works best for them, hint hint! Thread is created and being pushed back everyday! Maybe I will go give it a shameless bumpity bump right now.
Either weekend, works for me. Though the 9th would be better.

Last year there was also Wing Fest in Newburgh, New York. Not the best city in the US but it does have a safe zone. The Rib Fest is awesome, walking through the different types of cookers and steamers and teams. The smells are unbelievable!
Born in the Bronx. Raised in Westchester (home of Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Children). I know where Corwyn visited his sister's mansion in the Chronicles of Amber. Worked in Chinatown. Caught up in 9/11. Hot azn wife anf PhD are from Queens.. My great uncle almost won the election for NYC mayor back in the 60s.
Yup. I be one of dem dere New Yorkers.

I used to stop in at Barnstormer BBQ there when we were driving up the Thruway until it closed a few years ago.
I'll be in NYC next weekend but I won't be able to goto the Ribfest. it's too far away.........
So this saturday does any of you guys want to do dinner near the SoHo area?
Me, Supie, Ukick, Mr.plow and a friend will be there for Saturday/Sunday.
Are people planning on Saturday or Sunday for the ribfest?
I'll be there Saturday.
Ugh, sorry Pred - my stomach is not agreeing with the Chinese I had for dinner. I think I'm going to have to skip tomorrow to be on the safe side. Have a few extra ribs for me!
Met tkyl last night and had FUN!!!!!!!! =D

I'm extremely busy but if I manage be free whenever we do it, I would definitely be up for another NY Slap and Tickle.
I live in the NY/Metro Area!
I also have a 7-week old son, so my attendance is questionable but not impossible.
I'm in! Somewhere with seating is.better for me right now.
Are people in the Baltimore/Washington area allowed to come?

We have 12 week old twins...same here.
Maxine is about ready to pop the timer within the next month, so I'm out on this one. We could have a GoodJr. get-together next spring in NY-Metro!
Well, I'm definitely down! We should definitly do this. I just got to NY and would like to meet some people.

I'm leaving on vacation July 15th until mid-to-late August, I was hoping this would happen before then.
I can do anything.
This isn't a full-fledged S&T, just me noting that i'll be in the city to celebrate a belated b-day on August 10. Plans include a stop at the Museum of Natural History, and then probably alcohol.
I approve of both of these activities. Pretty sure my schedule is open.

Would love to attend. Haven't had a day off in months. Plus my bday is August 19th. The trouble comes turning it into an expensive ordeal what with coming over from Jersey. With another baby on the way and wifey going to be out on FMLA for 4 months with a reduced salary, the family budget has kicked in overdrive.
I can probably catch a train or bus to NYC if I want (I make a rule not to drive in cities). I have some friends in the area. Generally I hate NYC, it's like a den of cement infested with human cockroaches, but for the sake of friends and Goodjers I shall keep an eye open here for things I might be able to partake in.
I just may be able to make Friday night Oct 12. Will know for sure this weekend.
