GenCon 2012 S&T (Moved To Tilted Kilt)

We're just gonna have it at Tilted Kilt instead of Weber Grill. No reservation. Just squeeze in around the bar where we can.

Awesome to meet everybody at the s&t. Nice to finally put some faces with names. Bummed I missed the gaming in the hotel afterwards... perhaps I'll make it to PenCon.
-Cheers!

Was good to meet everyone at the Tilted Kilt or as my wife called it the slutty Scottish Hooters. Excellent choice I must say. My wife was really impressed with how nice and welcoming everyone was and we had a great time at the Kilt and then visiting in the room later. Thanks one and all.

It was great meeting/hanging out with you all this weekend. With the impending birth of my baby I do not know when I will be able to meet up again with you all, but GenCon was a great last hurrah before that happens.

Did anyone demo any really cool games? What all did everyone buy?

Also:

pics!!

Now we just need that soundtrack dubbed over some hentai and we've got it. Seriously, I'm surprised our waitress kept coming back, the horrible things we were saying.

Wonderful to meet everyone as usual, makes me even more excited for PenCon!

It was nice to see everyone again and meet the new folks! PenCon will be a bunch of fun! I look forward to seeing a bunch of you there!

Congrats Eric! I wish I had spend more time talking with you. BTW you can totally take a baby to PAXEast next year, it wasn't too bad. My guess is it will get harder when they are toddlers where they are mobile and not content to stay in your arms or a backpack.

and now there's coffee all over my keyboard

It was great to meet and hang out with everyone, even if I did somehow end up being the person to read the instructions for Level 7 and teach it to its new owner. Add to that the challenge of trying to keep McChuck engaged in the process and stop him from wandering off every ten minutes.

I only have one picture, Rabbit, and I'm old-school enough that I have to get it off my camera manually, so I'll post it when I can. However, it does contain photographic evidence of a certain Pyroman, and a few others, hunkering down over a very competitive game of the Powerpuff Girls boardgame.

It's a lie. That picture has clearly been photoshopped. There's no way I was playing the cardboard version of Sparkle Pony...

Yeah, what all was I doing? I just remember getting up a lot to do a quick tasks like get myself a drink, greeting people, going to the bathroom, getting drinks for people, and just generally being distracted all night.

nailed it.

Are you serious that like nobody took any pictures?

I can tell you that I'm serious that I only took one.

I think there was a picture taken at the table? I dunno, these all kinda blur together in my head.

I've got a few pics I took here

There was definitely a table picture taken.

Also, I love this CAH combo:

I think you mean this? It's one of my favorite Cards Against Humanity combinations IMAGE(http://i.imgur.com/kwnXR.jpg?1)

Mine was one by E Hunnie:

Lifetime presents (blank) the story of (blank).

Card 1: Micropenis
Card 2: Giving 110%

Though the card that still makes me laugh regardless of context is: Literally eating sh*t. I think it's the period that does it for me.

I've got pics. I'll get there eventually. Hopefully tonight.

Good stuff. Thanks for being our rules lawyer on Level 7, Feegle. I think the game probably has potential if you don't have to stop and look something up each turn. It sort of kills the survival horror aspect.

Thanks everyone for making the meetup happen. It was great to meet you in person. I wish I could make PenCon happen, but I overcommitted myself on vacations this year.

Here's the only pic I took, demonstrating the unlikely location for our meetup.

I never take pictures of people. This is my fault, always my fault.

I'll have pictures of stuff up soon as I get things sorted out with Armchair General about the photos I was supposed to take for them.

I have about 300 pictures of stuff. No GWJrs tho.

Also, that motorcycle picture does not do it justice. There were literally THOUSANDS of bikers in Indy last weekend. Block after block after block after block of bikes. It was very intimidating.

Edit: And Hannah's felafel. Oh, her felafel. So delicious.

Man, I am a terrible social person. Second year in a row I miss the meetup. After I got out of my game at 10pm ish, I checked the twitters and saw a few posts from a hotel room and assumed that the Tilted Kilt meetup was over.

Maybe I'll just have to drive down to Cincinatti and invade pyromanfo over a weekend.

Being one of the new guys, I can definitely say I had a great time meeting everyone. Big ups to Feegle for jumping on the grenade and actually reading the directions to Level 7 (I was the fourth player, besides Sway, Feegle, and McChuck). I imagine that otherwise, Sway and I would probably not have attempted another game until the next gencon we attended, where we would go begging for someone else to read the directions for us.

Oh, and SpyNavy, I'm the guy who was talking to you at slutty scottish hooters about playing some sports games sometime. I know you're out of town for now, but hit me up when you want to get some games in.

Had a great time!! I took the Picture at the table. I suck at internet image hosting, so I'll try emailing it to Magnus or wordsmythe or something and I'm sure they'll find the appropriate place.

I took no pictures; I left no footprints.

The Kilt freaked me out, though. I went and drank wine with E Hunnie.
