I'm back. I'll try to get my games in ASAP. Might take to tomorrow.
Thanks for waiting!
Fresno beats Kansas 13-10.
I'll be done sometime this morning...
IU loses to Michigan, 24-21. The IU defense held Michigan to only a FG in the second half (on their first drive), but that was the difference in the game.
Neither QB threw the ball well. IU's biggest downfall was their QB Roberson throwing 4 INTs. He was off target much of the game, completing <50% of his throws. Thankfully, Denard Robinson had a similar completion rate...but he kept my defense busy by running for almost 60 yards in some crucial situations.
Ugh. I threw 3 INTs in the redzone. Not gonna' allow IU to beat Michigan with that rate.
Ouch. Thanks...I needed that.
Yeah, well, at least they didn't embarrass me, which is different!
I'll have my recruiting done by 7:00 tonight.
Hawai'i is ready... and 0-3.
I need to recruit, I will do that tonight
You might also want to play your game Kush ;)
I was worried I didn't do that. I'll get on that.

I will not be told what to do.................................with that said, I am rolling the other league, but not because Firesloth told me to
Temple is done, and Notre Dame had their way with them 51-9. The saving grace is that the 4th quarter was simmed, so naturally Notre Dame had a scoring spree. So many drive killing holding penalties, and down 31-9 early in the 4th on 3rd and long, I hit my WR in stride, only for him to drop it. The guy was 10-15 yards down field and 5 yards past anyone who had a chance of catching him, and flat out dropped the ball and a huge 50+ yard score. The thing about this is, I like that. It's realistic, that is supposed to happen. I only simmed the rest of the 4th because I had to get to work, and I didn't want to leave it for when I get home later tonight. See what I do for the league
Let's roll this sucker.
I hate bye weeks. The good news is, the two new commitments at DT and CB could end up starting. Both are JUCOs, the CB a sophomore! Both are rated about 77 overall. I have a lot of my DT "talent" graduating, so this helps a lot.
Ya know after reading this topic heading for so long with it saying chumpmcgee sloth on it I didn't even realize this was the 2* league until I saw Firesloth comment on it lol.
Game played. I'll be gone until late Sunday then gone that Monday until the 31st. Just sim me or whatever you have to to progress.
Planning on getting on tonight.
so...even when doing as requested for a more sim friendly league, I still pounded the crap out of a better team. Buffs shame the Bruins 66-27. I had my first stringers in only for the first half. At that time I was up 42-13. Second stringers came in and were able to put up another 24 points to UCLAs 14. The stats are actually quite impressive. I only had two turnovers. My KR specialist returned 5 kickoffs for a total of 286yrds and two td's. My QBs combined for 22 comp on 29 atts for 405 yrds and 5 tds. I also had 27 rushes for 158 yards. So...I dont know what to say. Thats close to even in terms of play calling but if your QBs are avg 11 yrds a throw and the HBs are avg 6yrds a carry...What can you do? I could have made it worse, but I just chewed clock the entire 4th quarter. Thoughts from anyone?
To be fair: UCLA is a pretty crappy team, aren't they?
I will play tonight, FYI
Hawaii finally gets in the win column!
Side note: This will probably be my only season in the league. Just found out my travel schedule for work is going to get pretty hectic in mid September. Hopefully I can get through this season before it starts.
Western beats Toledo 35-21
That game was a lot closer. It went back and forth all game. Arizona was up 14-7 at the end of the first and up 34-28 at the half. With a minute to go in the 4th quarter, CU kicks the go ahead FG to make it 52-49. Arizona drove down to the Buffs 12 yard line with 14 secs to go in the game. They spike the ball and the CU DC is sweating bullets. Not to let this one slip away, CU Head Coach Dumass steps in and decides to go for broke and calls a double safety blitz against a 4 wide formation, trusting his CBs to hold long enough. The gamble paid off and the SS hit against the QB popped the ball loose. CU recovers it and assumed the victory formation. What a close one. No Guts, No Glory.
