What old PC game do you want Kickstarted from the grave?

The AD&D Gold Box series. (including the Buck Rogers titles) As well as the Dark Sun games.

This.

Darklands.

Emperor of the Fading Suns (no crippling bugs this time, please)

Imperialism.

Starflight.

I'd love to see Shivers redone, and maybe even a Shivers 3 created along the lines of the first game but in a different claustrophobic environment.

I want a high-definition 3D remake of F. Godmom.

This. Anything else would be a let down. Though Alpha Centauri would be an excellent substitute.

Mechwarrior 3050

And of course a proper version of Syndicate

But like they were, but with better engine/graphics/features. None of this "now in first person" crap. Just remake it like it was, but better.

I'm not seeing Full Throttle, which means everyone answered wrong.

The FPS Syndicate is probably in my top 5 ever co-op games. It is fantastic. You should give it a try.

I'm in Australia. They blocked it here. Otherwise, I probably would. Still, a nice isometric remake of Syndicate would be just all kinds of awesome.

I would donate heavily.

The fact that its page 2 and I'm the first to mention Autoduel

Autoduel people!!!

Car Wars is already happening, Autoduel can't be too far behind.

Thank you. Veloxi said it too.

First I want the expansion to X-Wing Alliance that we never got. Still need to hunt down the uncle that betrayed us to the Empire.

But then yeah, TIE Fighter. Mostly a remake would be nice. Just include some multi-sector stuff like XWA had. And maybe try some kind of branching campaign, where ships are consistent from mission to mission. It was always silly when you could blow up a mission critical ship and then it would reappear next mission. Likewise it was cool in the original disk versions of X-Wing when you could assign pilots in your roster as your wingmen, and they would have the appropriate skills. So something like that, where you keep your wingman alive for a mission and he gains skills and gets better every mission he's alive. I want that for AI teammates, but wouldn't be averse to something like that for your character even. Every game seems to toss in some xp/rpg elements now. Maybe some beefing up of specific systems on your ship as you get better?

Mutant League Sports, namely hockey and football. Also an updated version of Star Control 1. Everybody talks about SC 2 but the first one was a great pick-up-and-play game.

I'm kinda on the fence about this, but a 3d rpg version of the Great Underground Empire of Zork would be interesting; it'd be nearly impossible to do justice to the razor sharp writing though.

+1 on the isometric Syndicate remake. The mission for the video, oh man. Trying to persuade cops with only 2 civilians. What aN00bzors! You need at least like 5 or 6 civilians before persuading cops, 2 to 3 cops to persuade guards, and 2 to 3 guards to persuade enemy agents. Also, click the damn minimap!

This. A hybridization of Wing Commander's story & RP elements with the Tie Fighter engine, and modern HD graphics.

Darklands!

Great gameplay, much of which would hold up. A fantastic world that could be even better realized.

STEEL BATTALION.

If there is anything in the history of human kind that deserves to be given another chance and done in a proper way, it is Steel Battalion. I will blow/kill anyone if it gets me Steel Battalion on PC.

Temple of Apshai series
Phantasie 2 and 3
Might and Magic series
I would say Ultima but it is already being done, just the wrong one
Dungeon Master
Dark Omens

I'd pay good money if someone would just port the M&M stuff to tablets. I can't stand FPS games on the iPad but I imagine that something like M&M 6 would be perfect for the platform. I can dream.

Nox please!

The multiplayer in particular was quite unique, extreme lethality is a staple of modern shooters, but Nox seemed like the first fantasy game where a crossbow bolt would instantly ruin your day, in an isometric action RPG no less! You could counter it by pulling your shield up as a warrior or using the wizard shield spell, but that's what made the game great, it was a high speed death match that felt like a game of Magic the Gathering in real time, with counters and interrupts and strategic spell casting, and all the classes had a weapon or spell that was instantly lethal if you didn't counter it right. But there was always a counter, and it was often just as lethal if you pulled it off right.

The spell system actually feels a lot like the Diablo 3 system of pseudo-deckbuilding, only done 12 years earlier.

I'd love to see a modern remake!

Man, all of the Wing Commander / Tie Fighter love around here is bringing a tear to my eye...Good on ya, everyone!

To go along with the Might and Magic talk, why not toss Wizardry on there, too? I didn't get into Wizardry until the last game (which was an amazing it even got released!), but it was good enough to get me to pick up the whole collection soon after.

Neuromancer

I'd pay $30 or so for an iOS version of Might & Magic 4&5, World of Xeen. That world rocked my world

Freespace, although FS Port and all the mods/TCs it enables does a nice job.

I'd finished playing through FS2 a while before the Unreal Engine4 demo, and having seen the particle systems I want to fly through a nebula with that, ships blowing it around with thrusters, leaving a proper wake. And that's before you get to using it on normal effects like damage, rockets, engines, bits of ship flying around, etc, I want a battle to leave a mess and to fly through it.

I want to play the mission where you first meet a sathanas again, other pilots detecting something huge warping in, and then the whole nebula in front of you starts churning like you're a swimmer in front of a supertanker, a whole region of the nebula starts to glow and a beam hits an allied capital ship, and then four huge beam turret claws break through the mist...

That was beautiful.

But to everyone who said Freespace, behold!

Some more thoughts:

Betrayal at Krondor
Gabriel Knight (with Tim Curry as GK)
Rocky's Boots
Planet's Edge
And, of course, Planescape: Torment

Planet's Edge!

I thought I was the only one that liked/remembered that game.

I remember playing it semi-coop with friends on their C64 (we'd all picked a character to be 'ours' - did the same with Wasteland as well)

Oooh yeah! But only if they keep the Devo title track coming out of the computer's speaker.

No love for Crusader? Death in a cherry red suit?

As for Simcity 2k, you can get that from GoG on the cheap currently.
