London Olympics 2012

Tried to watch the 100m final on nbc site. Feed froze up during the race... came back in time to see Usain Bolt had won. Ugh.

NBC is showing some sh*t with horses instead of the 100m final. So ridiculously lame.

Wow, didn't think they would tape delay on a Sunday.

I'm so happy that Murray won gold and then turned around to play a rather fantastic match for silver in mixed doubles. Props to him for quite the awesome day for Team GB.

Hopefully Canada can have a repeat from Beijing and get a medal placement, while overcoming a horse being disqualified. All of this because people were rubbing a chilli pepper derivative on horses at the 2008 games. :S

There is pretty much no reason for anyone not named Usain Bolt to run the 100m right now.

I like how these sprinters have pro-wrestler type routines for when the camera pans by them. I'm also surprised at how big the crowd is for it, and how into it they are.

That teammate of Bolt's, Yohan Blake. He seems too bulky and muscular for a sprinter, but I guess not.

I have 2 reasons:
-Silver Medal
-Bronze Medal

Goalkeeper error for France leads to a nice 1-0 Japan lead in the women's soccer semis. Color me shocked.

In another shocking development, Renard for France continues to make terrible passes and hack at opposing players.

Gah. USA down 1-0 to Canada at half. We've never not made the gold medal game. Come on women, win that 2nd half!

Wow. US ties. Canada retakes the lead at 68. US answers at 71. 2-2 tie, 20 min left, one hell of a match.

EDIT: sh*t! And Canada answers on a corner 2 min later. 3-2 Canada.

If you're not watching this, you should be.

!!!

And a handball on Canada in the box. Wambach scores, 3-3.

EDIT: Extra time.

What a match so far.

Mark it down. Leroux will score the winner.

What a game.

Unbelievable. Header off the cross bar. So close.

US getting all kinds of chances, but can't quite finish it. Penalty kicks may be coming...

EDIT: GOAL! Alex Morgan!

I could kiss Alex Morgan.

...alright, that's not really a big sacrifice on my part.

Booooooo boooo boooooooooo bôooooooooooooooooo.

That was just insane.

Gah. Argentina giving the US a game in men's basketball. Still pool play, but it's a 1 point game at the half.

Guess it doesn't matter if they lose this one. But it's frustrating the lack of defense I'm seeing. Giving up 59 points in 20 minutes is pretty sad.

Canadian coverage is split between CTV there sports channel TSN which has two channels. Plus Sportsnet (4) and OLN. None of them are showing the USA Argentina ball game. That's 8 channels. RDS the french version of TSN is showing the game. Mind boggling coverage.

Wow. Blew them out in the 3rd quarter, outscoring them by 25. And then a cheap shot by Argentina (slapped Melo in the stomach/groin) at the end of the period.

Apparently seeding is locked in for Arg., so this thing might be on cruise for the 4th, to save energy for elimination round. But we might be meeting again in the semis, and it doesn't look to be too friendly.

Kevin Durant is a machine.

That is all.

Beautiful header by Mexico to knot it at 1 in men's soccer. First goal scored on Japan the entire Olympics.

Nice to see an event won through cheating. (Women's cycle sprint). To be fair, the Austrialian won the final round fair and square, but only after shattering the Brit's equilibrium in the first. That was a terrible decision by the Commissars, and the event should have restarted rather than giving it to the Austrailian. She shoulder barged and elbowed the Brit, who strayed over the line as a result.

Before the race, there was an interview with the Brit on Radio 5 Live where she expressed her distaste for the Australian's use of such tactics previously.

Cheating is a very strong word and utter bollocks in this case.

Most likely for Tancredi stomping on Lloyd's head. She ought to be suspended for that. Shame that there's a lot of complaining/whining going on about this. It was a great game to watch. Probably the most dramatic and competitive game of the team sports I've been able to watch.

wow. I had no idea. In highschool I had my throat stomped on in rugby... hopefully Lloyd is okay. It just goes to show how biased media can be... in Canada newspapers are not even mentioning it. I really enjoyed the game and thought the delay penalty was horrible, but unlike many of my countrymen/women I am not going to say Canada would have won without that call.

All US Beach Volleyball final today at 4pm eastern. Of course NBC won't be showing it live.

Sorry to bring the conversation down but Aly Raisman (right) is totally hot.

Probably not that NSFW but linking anyway. It's just one of those fab five NBC bumpers.

Jeez, Nic Batum!

@WojYahooNBA: I asked Batum why he hit Navarro in the groin. "I wanted to give him a good reason to flop," Batum said.

Jeez, Nic Batum's wife!

Nic Batum's wife chimes in. RT @missbatum: Lost game on purpose (pussies) acting most of the false and they wanna fight nico? Pussies!

Glad the T-wolves didn't end up with him O.o

Gun to my head, I think the lady to the left of her is prettier.
