GWJFF week 1

GL to everyone this week!

First off, did not know Mike Ditka is on Countdown now! hehe

I guess we will be posting the crazy stuff that happens to our players here today!

Go Bucs!

I have a full schedule today, so I don''t know if I will get much time to check things, but I will be in front of the TV for Chiefs Broncos!

I need all my other players to step up after James'' abismal performance against the pats.

What happened to the scores? Nothing is showing. I thought we had the live update thingie. The scores were there after Thursday''s game.

The points are there in the stat tracker at least.

Not hard for me to remember the 1 point Chris Chambers got me anyway...

Not one freaking touchdown this week....

Please resume mocking me for selecting the Baltimore Defense at your own leisure. Please temper any comments with the fact that I also took Shaun Alexander.

Seven total points from both my RBs! And my star receiver got injured in the first half! My most productive position right now is the defense with nine points!

Yeah for me!

I sure am regretting going with Culpepper in the first round, instead of a middle of the road running back, let me tell you.

Owens is scoring more points then my whole team! hehe

That sucks

I thought Gannon would destroy my team this week, but he pulled it out in the end. Great games today.

Ok I know it is too late to change the rules but Clinton Portis 148 rushing yds, 1 td (over 50 yds I might add) and 1 fumble 11 points. Yet Emmitt Smith 87 yds 1 td 10 points. Something wrong with the way we calculate points. Oh well.

Great, Rogers has a broken collarbone, probably out for most of the season. Anyone have a decent receiver they want to trade? Take a look at my roster and let me know.

Also, is yahoo''s site really slow for anyone else right now?

EDIT: Gladd, it''s the fumbles/INTs. They hurt me too, a single INT cancels out 100 yds passing, doesn''t seem right, but that''s the rules!

It was the fumble. Fumbles will kill your score.

NS. I got 4 freakin points from my first round pick stud RB thanks to his 2 redzone fumbles.

Down by 17, but I still have a bunch of guys to go - don''t get overconfident, Edwin!!!

I currently lead on Johnny 58 - 8 thanks to McNabb (holy crap, 4 TD''s!) Graham (TE) and Vinatieri (K)

My receivers have been worth next to nothing so far, we''ll see how Walker for GB does on Monday. As it stands, the Carolina D and Steven Davis better have one hell of a game for Johnny

Dillon didn''t get a ton of carries but he looked really solid out there, I think he''s a keeper. Eddie George though? Pain. PAIN! Who wants him for a wide reciever?

Buzz--you are regretting Culpepper for what reason??

karmajay, turn your sarcasm recognizer to the On position.

Go Quentin. Go Quentin. It''s your birthday.

God, sometimes I hate football. Watching the Chiefs lose to the Broncos is like watching someone boff your girlfriend. Woe is me.

Urgh, Culpepper totally crushed me. 5 TD''s !! The man is a scoring machine, at least Moss caught two of them, but somehow only managed a measly 27 yds receiving, and his one pass of 37 yds garnered him 0 points

Fumbles do really kill you. Moulds had a good game, but two fumbles knocked his score down to only 5 points...

Ahh, see, watching the Broncos beat the Chiefs was like me scoring with a girl for the first time, and her not being disappointed! Hey, it could happen.

And, I gotta say, I was snickered at for taking TO in the first round wasn''t I? Rod ""Old Man"" Smith was looking pretty solid as well.

[laughs maniacally]

Other than Jake''s two boneheaded INT''s, they looked really good.

As for FF, two of my three RB''s out make for a damn poor showing. As I said before, having 20 people in the FF pool means that most weeks your fate will be determined by one, maybe two, players. That being said, I look forward to losing abysmally to each of you over the course of the season.

You know how I get all sullen and nasty when you guys are beating me at 2k5? Multiply by 10, add a six back of Molsen Golden, and you can picture me during the 4th quarter last night. Alas, I fear the Chiefs failing to address the WR and linebacker/ DE weaknesses in the off season have doomed us to being an also ran again this year.

As for FF, I take back my jibes, Bag. And look who my top scorer is? Jerrome Bettis! The old timers did well this week.

You can bet your ass that the first thing I did this morning was search the free agents list for The Bus. It''s clear what his role is, and this league (like most others) is all about touchdowns. One of my old guys is in good shape, but Antowain Smith did nothing; but that doesn''t surprise me. Did you see that hit by Lynch on Dante Hall? Brutal! I''m interested to see how Favre does tonight, he could definitely score 13 for you -- good luck!

OT - We play next week in the XBox league, Bagga.

Yes, makes me wonder exactly when they will call head-to-head contact or leading with the helmet. Kind of like that Trotter hit on the kicker.

Fumbles do really kill you. Moulds had a good game, but two fumbles knocked his score down to only 5 points...

There are those who would contend that any game where you fumble twice can''t really be considered a good game.

Sorry, I thought that was posted before the action started! hehe

Yep everything football related sucked for me this weekend. Oh well, let me pull my spare heart out since my teams stomped on my last one...

God, sometimes I hate football. Watching the Chiefs lose to the Broncos is like watching someone boff your girlfriend. Woe is me.

Now how do you know what that is like?

C''mon Brett! I need one more tater to pull out a win!!

Sigh...how do I get in for next year...

because as a dolphins fan...I have a few years of nothing to do right now...sigh
