NFL 2012 Draft Thread

With off the field performance like that you know he must have six kids around the country. That he talks to once a year within two weeks or so from their birthday.

I talked to a guy last week whose kid recently shared at church camp that it's tough when his mom never calls on his birthday.

f*ckING PARENT YOUR KIDS YOU PIECES OF sh*t!

...sorry, something came over me.

Only a few weeks until the preseason starts! Yippee!

Blows my mind that guys like this piss away the ability to make a truly amazing living.

At least he's not using his NFL money to try to become a drug kingpin (probably). I wonder what Sam Hurd is up to these days.

True story:

I was at work on Halloween several years ago, wearing my homemade Strongbad costume with a huge red posterboard mask. United Way was doing a lunchtime presentation that day, and one of my assistant managers came by and strongarmed me into attending.

The United Way guy spoke for just a minute about how what they really do is funnel money to smaller, local charities, including one in Houston for helping addicts get clean and back on their feet. Then he calls another guy to the podium to speak about the local charity.

Turns out it's a former NFL player who lost his career and his family to crack addiction. He's up there telling us the unbelievably tragic details of his life, and I'm sitting in the first row wearing this three foot tall red Strongbad mask. Man, I felt like an asshole.

You are all officially on notice that the Panthers will win Super Bowl XLVII.

So despite what happened last year with the Dream Team nonsense, the Eagles are at it again.

Vick declares dynasty

And LeSean McCoy backs him up.

As pointed out this morning, it's quite strange for the only team in their division that hasn't won a Super Bowl to be talking so much sh*t.

Obviously talking about Madden Dynasty mode. ;D

Lmao. Vince young has to be wondering where this support was last year

You can't have a dream team if Vince Young is on your roster.

It's axiomatic.

Lmfao

I'm pretty sure the draft is over. Is it not time for at least a new title if not a new thread?

I thought we were waiting for Rat Boy to return to us and start a new one. But if it isn't started by week one of the pre-season, I suggest Legion starts it.

When Carolina finishes dead last or nearly so, I am going to laugh loudly and long.

Somebody needs to teach Michael Vick about Astronautics and Ballistics and other nuances of physics. Just because you shoot for the stars, it doesn't mean you're going to get out of the atmosphere.

Are we gifting him Kerbal Space Program, then?

Man that was corny. Cringe worthy all the way through, read like something a football coach would say to his team in a made for TV hallmark special.

Registration will open on Sunday.

Edit: Oops, wrong thread.

Argh. Thanks for reminding me of my 11-2 season in FFL3 that flamed out in the playoffs.

EDIT: Good thing. I've been waiting for a post in the Steam group or something, since I knew Aug was creeping up on us.

Yeah, I was going to (i.e. will) post there on Sunday.

Chiefs’ Charles, Berry and Moeaki all practice on first day of camp

This is super news for Chiefs fans. All three went down within the first two week of the season, and pretty much tanked for them. For them to all be back and ready to go, as well has having their draft picks signed, it is a good sign that the Chiefs could improve a lot over last season. If they can get Bowe into camp, I think they will be potent.

I won't be talking Super Bowl, but I cannot wait to see the team take the field.

Meh..it's a stretch to call what he said a declaration. But I guess it makes for better Haterade. Every team is a potential dynasty. I wouldn't want my players thinking anything less.. Are the Eagles realisticly a dynasty. Of course not...they might have a slightly better chance than say Jackonsville. But not much.

Oh, it was awesome. You all are just jealous because your teams are all fighting for the chance to lose to the Panthers in the Super Bowl.

Oh Jerry.....

"Glory Hole Days"? "I want me some glory hole"? Wow. Poor word choice in the extreme.

The term “glory hole” in the oil industry refers to the hole drilled, from which oil flows and rises to the surface through flow lines and to the production facility.

It’s been well documented that Jones, is an oil man through and through and that’s where and how he made his money. So it’s no surprise that Jones would reference the oil field in addressing his team.

As someone who worked in the energy industry, he's still an idiot for phrasing things in that manner.

Boogle's a veteran of glory holes.
