NCAA13 BCS (XBox 360) League Discussion (1 Spot Open)

ok...so I just got back from vacation and looked at all this...First, Sorry about your loss Kush...even when they are expected, passings are tough. That said, I was looking over the college landscape you laid out and didnt see my team on there. I posted before I left for my vacation that I was going to play as NC this year instead of WVU (page 3). I wish I would have had the internet where I was but I didnt...hope this doesnt screw anything up to bad. Just got back last night.

On the plus side, while I was on vacation, I caught a 58lb catfish...took me 20 minutes to reel that sucker in. Photos were taken, so I when my family posts them I will share. You guys should see this thing. It was big

Oh Poop. Forgot you went with North Carolina. I thought Coolbeans was UNC. Oh well, you get a very tough SEC this year, lol. More good news, the TV here does not have an HDMI port, so the XBox may all be for not, stay tuned. (There is a GameStop down the road )

I have Zell, Firesloth, and Shonuff in the red. Let me know if you guys are good to go. I believe FS already stated he is good to go.

Beach house update #2:
Shag has stepped up his game, and is mailing me the standard XBox cables. I will have them by week's end, and we can get things rolling a little sooner than when I get back. I will have to reward him by giving him a Week 1 XBox opponent, followed by a bye week or two for HIS vacation.

I can't even touch the schedules until I get the cable, there's no way to know what the default schedules are, so when I get the cable, I will put the schedules in my laptop, and then fiddle with them in a spreadsheet before modifying them, and getting the league rolled.

We will get this league off the ground, I promise!

I'm ready. I suppose it's not possible to save yourself trouble and just hand commish duties to Shag without using the Xbox... Stupid EA making things inconvenient.

On a side note: I'm out of town Aug. 4-11 (this coming Saturday to the next). If you're putting together the schedule and could happen to slip a bye week to me during the first week of the season, that'd help move things along...

It was really no problem since the firm is paying to ship it. I told our mail room people that Kush forgot the cable and he asked that I send it to him. So it is going out Priority Mail and should get there tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. I almost had the mail room people convinced enough that they were thinking about getting a courier to deliver it to him.

Man I feel dirty.

NOT!

LOL!!

That rocks!

Should of just bought the cable at walmart then return it when your done. Say you bought the wrong kind.

I joined this past weekend. I guess I have to select ready to move on. I'll do it when I get home.

Bill's a smart man, Kush. Listen to him!

Gdawg – no need to push green, now that you've told Kush.

Not only is Ocean City a dry town, but there's no store of any relivance in town. I went to the local Acme to find board games for the week, and they had Connect 4 and Candyland, and that was pretty much it. I was lucky they sold playing cards. My wife's Walgreens back home has a whole aisle devoted to board games, and I can't get a damn Acme to give me a couple more choices.

So Walmart was not an option. If I had more time on Saturday, I wanted to look for my standard cables to bring just in case.

Oh well, Shag's will be here tomorrow or Wednesday.

NC is ready to roll.

Good news, bad news:

Good news, cables came, I can access the league, and I have half the schedules in my computer. Going out to dinner now, so I will do that later.

Bad news: Iowa has a division game in Week 2 (even though I ask the damn XBox to make all division games AFTER Week 3). I will make some HvH games in Week 1 and Week 2, so we can stall the league a little, but Firesloth's Week 2 game is vs the XBox, so it should be all good.

More to come.

good job on picking Iowa, firesloth.

Hey, if we go fast through week 1, l can play my week 2 before leaving...

So we can stall on your Week 3 Conference game?

OK, schedule is about 95% completed, I just need to get Tulsa and SMU some more Rivalry games.

News and notes:

Everyone has 3 HvH games............except:
-Tulsa and Michigan St both have 4
-Georgia Tech has 2, the XBox made it impossible to schedule more than that. Shag will make more friends next season

Everyone has atleast 3 Rivalry Games...............except:
-UCLA and Michigan St have 2
-North Carolina and Northwestern have 1
-For these 4 schools, that's all I could get. I will add rivals to conferences next season to better accomodate everyone. And for the record, Northwestern only has Illinois as their rival, so there's nothing I can do about that. They are locked in with Illinois every season within the same conference.

I have to finish the schedules (5 mins tops) and do my scouting and red shirting, and we'll be ready to roll. TV should be free within the hour, so stay tuned!!!!!!!

Woohoo. The benefits of sending the cable to Kush on vacation!

OK, schedule is 100% done. I am done redshirting and setting up my depth chart!

...........but I never scouted, lol.

LEAGUE TO ROLL WITHIN THE HOUR!

Yippee!! Oh. Damn. BYE WEEK!!!

Thanks for spending your vacation time putting this together, Kush. And thanks to your company for prioritizing the cable shipment!!

Whoa. That wasn't them that prioritized it. That was me. They paid for it.

Ha! Well, thanks for your precious time spent mailing, Shag!
