Interesting Kickstarter Catch-All

The BugASalt: A shotgun for killing bugs... (IndieGoGo, not Kickstarter, but same concept)

I might have mentioned this before, but it's in the last hours now: Race to Adventure boardgame: http://kck.st/LZU2rs (based on Spirit of the Century ttrpg).

I made the mistake of watching the "how to play" video and was instantly sucked in. It looks like fun, plus there is already a dinosaur themed expansion thrown in, and a hollow Earth bonus if they make it to $50k

You love old-school action games. Now get excited. Yes, that excited. Rwaaarr.

I remember when RPS covered this. Looks pretty neat.

That game is my crack. I know this already, and I haven't even played it yet.

Posted that over in the Indie Games Thread, and the actual thread for the game that went dark that I remembered while typing this. They're already at $75,000 out of $80,000 wanted in just over 4hrs.

Looks pretty neat, I kicked in.

They're at over 100k now.

Star Pilot's Revenge

The 'Star Pilot' series is a musical sci-fi epic that blends the genres of Electronic, R&B, & Hip-hop into a great musical experience.

It's actually pretty good.

Looks cool, but I wish the combat wasn't RTS-style.

I don't think this has been posted.

John K's "Cans Without Labels"

From John Kricfalusi, creator of Ren and Stimpy, comes "Cans Without Labels", a George Liquor Cartoon.

'Nuff said. But watch the videos (yes, plural) and read the whole page anyway. It's worth it.

Skimming here, but has anyone posted or heard about this? Jack Houston and the Necronauts

Might only be interesting to me since I have been playing since ~2001 but the Shadowfist CCG is being reborn as a living card game (maybe):

This is THEE best 3+ player deck builder out there.

Those are really awesome, but they want a hefty sum for them, and I can't buck up at that cost.

Wow, that's a really cool idea. Will have to look at it more when I'm not at work.

So that's where those things have been coming from. GoNintendo has been posting those images randomly to their video-game art section for a while now.

What type of gun is that again?!

I was all excited for the c*ck gun BugASalt, but then I saw the $30 pricetag.

That's less than a nerf gun.

Here are a couple of cool ones:

Knock-Knock by Ice-Pick Lodge

These are the people who made Pathologic and The Void, two of my favorite weird games of all time.

Dominique Pamplemousse in It's All Over Once The Fat Lady Sings!

The creator of that adventure game Life Flashes By that was on the front page here a while ago is crowdfunding another one, this time a stop motion musical.

Damnit! I need to save money and those two things appeal directly to me!

Cool looking Tactical RPG, Shadow Remnants.

I backed this one: Blood Red Sands, a competitive pen & paper rpg. I was sold when they csaid it gives you game ply like Frazetta paintings. There's been good buzz about the earlier, beta version on Story Games, too.

The Oculus Rift

Virtual reality is apparently back again but before you ignore it, it's being supported by people like Gabe Newell, Cliffy B and John Carmack.

Did a search on the forums and it does not seem to have been mentioned in this thread before. 99% Invisible is running a kickstarter to help fund "Season 3" or their next year of shows. It's a great 15-20 minute show about design and is very well produced a la Radiolab. The campaign is fully funded at this stage but they are looking to cross 5000 backers, which would get them an additional $10000 in funding. As long as you contribute even 1$, it will add up, so go now - the campaign only has 5 more days!

Yeah ,the price on that gun is a little excessive ,but I showed it to my co-worker who said the price is somewhat reasonable. I think one of our major problem is that toys like that are most likely illegal in Israel , much like air soft. If I'm not mistaken you need a license to own a BB gun here and might need another license to carry it.

So far I gave money to Castle Story - just the minimum 15$ because. I'm more interested in the full game than the demo. ( I like my bread well baked). The main thing that sparked my interest other than the great gameplay features was the fact the game engine they used (Unity) supports Android and iOS !
