I had enough trade in I was able to get the game new! Hooray!

Now, how do I setup this game with you guys!

I wish they had my first vehicle in the Forza series, but I somehow doubt they'll ever include the 1989 Mitsubishi Delica WagonVan.

I don't think they will ever include my '93 Brazilian made, USDM, VW Fox "Wolfsburg Edition" either, but at least I can have a VW Fox even if it is an unrelated model.

And now my buddy's FR-S arrives on Tuesday (and there was much rejoicing). I sat in it, but it's still in its break-in period, so now I'll actually get to see it in high-revving (virtual) motion. Also, smashed, inevitably.

I can't believe it took them this long to get the new Mustang into the game. It was out and people were buying them back before the game even shipped.

So far the TR3, Continental, and 205 all seem great.

Peugeot was really stretching the homologation rules with that 205. Also, the time continuum.

Yes, Group B was amazing

This Hover Lincoln is so much fun!

I meant cos you mentioned the 205 but had a pic of the FR-S and... anyway.

Nice looking 205 in the club garage too, ElectricPi. But it's short about 80 hp IIRC! I made my own 450 hp 205, I think its PI is S692: a mix of engine upgrades to hit 450 on the nose, roll cage, widest race tires, every other weight-saving upgrade, and a Group B skin from the storefront. I'll try to remember to share it tonight.

I didn't take pictures of the 205 because I didn't do the paint (it was gifted to me). I try to shoot for the max PI in a given class. I actually updated the class of my 205. I'm not sure what the HP is though.

I started playing this again, but I'm still not very good. If you're up for some slow, below average racing, feel free to add me.

That is some awesome trickery—now where did I put my Delorean... (Although you've also enabled a thousand fans of slammed cars to barf up their own images, so boo to that.)

The Delorean Doesn't fly particularly well. It all depends on how much suspension travel, how much variation in spring stiffness, and how the max spring rate and minimum weight of the car compare. That said, it does jump:

Good enough for me.

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

Anyone else have a wishlist for Forza 4?

The one's Ive posted on the "Forza Motorsport 4 Car Wish List" thread on the forum are:
-Geoff
-Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust
-MkII Scirocco 16v We need the ultimate A1 chassis VW, and this would complete the Scirocco options with MkI, MkII, Mk 2.5(Corrado), and MkIII
-1977 VW Super Beetle Others may like split window bugs, or other early cars, but I would rather see the last of the sedans sold in the U.S.
-1992 500E
-450SEL 6.9
-The rest of group B We have the S1 Quatro, the RS200, the 5 Turbo, and GTO but where are the Delta S4, The 205T16, the 6R4, group B RX7, and even the BX 4TC.
-Porsche
-Rally Fighter
-Prius GT300

The May pack has a few cars that I think were sorely missed, including the VR-4, the Legacy, the Transit, the Cortina, and the Austin-Healey. Unfortunately, they just make me think of more cars I want in the game, like the 323GTX, Pulsar GTiR (and regular pulsar), Forester 2.5XT, Hilux, and MGs.

I think there has been some good progress with the MG, 205T16, and Beetle, really looking forward to the Karmen Ghia.

FYI: The Porsche expansion pack is on sale for 800 MSP (50% off).

Son of a gun. I bet the VIP discount stacks with that too.

Bah. I haven't loaded in a long time but I don't even see the Porsche pack, or any of the newer monthly packs in the Forza Marketplace. I just get a Marketplace error when trying to download any of the stuff I haven't already gotten. I probably lost some VIP cars by not checking in too.

[Edit] It's still acting up, but I figured out some workarounds. The VIP pricing on the Porsche pack is still 1200 points. I just snagged it through Xbox.com to get the sale price. No 400 point super sale though.

MisterStatic callout! Did you ever give impressions of the CSR-Elite? I upgraded my TV and I'm starting to dive back into Forza so I'm considering replacing my CSR with the Elite. I'm sure the CSR is identical to your Porsche wheel for practical purposes so I'm interested to here what you think of the improvement. The main thing I'm hoping for is losing the center deadzone with the shaft mounted sensor system on the Elite. In case you haven't been following, there's a new firmware from the 25th too.

Yes, I have the latest firmware. The wheel is fantastic and since several firmware releases any dead zone issues are eliminated (yes this had them too). The strengths of the wheel have grown on me, and now it officially trumps my T500. My initial impressions were not good, solely attributable to the bad firmware rollout...the penalty of early adoption. If you are picking up the wheel now, you will be very happy. Now I am envying those with the new CS pedals...

Edit: As for comparison with single drive Porsche wheel, the differences are a more solid, refined feel and feedback effects. Also, for Forza, I have gone completely to a 270 setting...not the wheel's fault, simply how Forza's model FFB and driving model works best.

Does the CSRe have less or non-existent backlash? I feel like that's the cause of my over-correcting and I'm hoping that the "shaft mounted sensor" will fix that.

[Edit] A certain waterbug may have just ordered a sim racing seat. This is what happens when my wife goes out of town and leaves me unsupervised. All because the CSRe's are out of stock until the end of the month.

In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team.

Serenj,
That was a nice lap for the rivals challenge at Catalunya, though I think your car builder might deserve some of the credit
Your drifting needs work though. If that is a car builder issue too, you should check out the club garage:

Well, here's hoping the CSR-E is a big upgrade over the CSR. I debated on it or the CSW as I'm really looking at more PC sim racing, but I just got the seat (which is amazing!) for the 360 in the family room and it'll be the first of next year before I get my PC cockpit all put together. Currently I'm looking at getting three new monitors, either 24" or 27", an Obutto R3volution, and a 680 GTX. For the time being I'm just hooking my laptop up to the basement TV so I can use my racing seat and wheel, so I figured the CSR-E would improve that experience as well as give me the best F4 and FH set up. When I finally get the Obutto rig I can use the CSR-E for that and put the CSR back on the racing seat.

Sorry, this is just a stream of consciousness monologue to get this out as I've been juggling all this stuff in my head while trying to figure out how to plan my upgrade path over the next few months to best optimize the incremental improvements as I have the spare play money.

LM, I have two EVGA Superclocked GTX480s I'm getting ready to put up for sale (replaced with 2*670s)...pm me if you are interested.

Thanks, but I'm currently running 2 GTX460s in SLI so I doubt it would be a cost effective upgrade for me.
