Summoner Wars Catch All

Brian you're doing awesome against my orcs!

I'm going to have to go back to the drawing board vs the Phoenix elves.

Beginner's luck, I'm sure. 3-0 so far for my first three games. I'll enjoy it while it lasts!

Argh! Nice one with the freeze event Hereafter I tried to play too aggressive this match. Not sure I can win this one.

Brian, I think you just got assassinated!

Pacman, our games is hurting my brain.

WHOA! And that's two for you Hereafter! I was completely unprepared for that move...you just walked right across the entire board and killed my Summoner. I have got a thing or two to learn about those Jungle Elves.

And that's what I'm liking about this game. Figuring out the different factions is fun. You really need different approaches for each one. I had only dipped my toe in the water by buying one faction, but I think I'm ready to buy the bundle.

bad post

IIRC, I played them with a PS3 controller via motionjoy but my friend played them with a kb&m.

I doubt there much difference.

Also, wrong thread

Edit: it always okay to have summoned wars on the mind

Just want to apologize to those I'm in games with - my internet's been down since Friday, with no resolution in sight. It's a messy, horrible affair, but it means I likely won't get to get to my games until Wednesday. Be patient, kind souls!

After playing for a while with the free version against the AI, I was sure I wanted to buy the game. I finally decided to go with the physical version. Which is evidently currently out of print (will be reprinted). The OOP craze came over me and I bought up... $80 worth of game and expansions. Picked up the master set, 2 extra factions, and 4 reinforcement packs for it.

Anyone else having any issues with connecting in the game? For me it keeps hanging on the connecting to server screen (the "Connecting to Server" box remains at the bottom of the screen, rather than going up to the middle like it normally does). Eventually it times out and gives me a "failed to connect to server message". So if I seem not to be taking moves in any game, that is why. If it doesn't work in the near future I will probably try deleting and re-installing.

Yup. Ascension doesn't work either. I think playdeks servers are down.

Huh, I thought it was just me, since my Internet connection is spotty out here. I am getting the same "failed to connect" message.

Looks like the servers are back up.

Hooray!! That was a dark morning indeed.

Apologies to everyone I'm in games with. Had a busy couple of days and haven't taken any turns. About to remedy that now.

@Boudreaux When are you going to finish me off?

I have been having problems off and on for the last few days. Same error: failed to connect to server, or I get booted from the server mid turn.

@Brian, you got Gror'd

Sorry, I'm in the middle of a week long vacation, and have to take a few turns here and there when I find the time. Plus the connection issues slowed me down a bit. Don't worry, your amazing comeback is coming shortly.

No problem, I'm just joking. I'm patience for my execution. It lets me enjoy my last meal...

So the dwarf champion that hits all units 2 spaces away hits ALL units two spaces away. Slowly I am figuring out this game.

Hereafter,

I have no idea how I won that game (well good luck with Gror at the right time for me, and horrible luck at the wrong time for you was probably it). Out of curiosity, were you sitting on all that magic intentionally, or just not drawing your champions?

Also, I thought the beginning, where we were racing to see who could kill their own units faster was pretty funny

Finally, sorry about the mirror matchup, but i was avoiding jungle elves so that we wouldn't end up mirrored!

Funny thing, I was doing choosing the dwarves to avoid a mm with the jungle elves lol.

I was sitting that magic because I drew all my champions in the end I didn't want to drop my commons. That Baldur vs the defenders battle was fun :).

I was stupid in that matchup. I should've killed your last wall but I figured I could've done it with Baldur alone but that was really stupid apparently

GG though!

First game won against Destrin. w00t!

GG Broudeaux!

I think I need to get some play time in on this, and I seem to be bad at remembering to play against the AI, so how do I get in on some of this MP stuff? I think my GC is ChazArthur.

I'll throw out there that I'll probably only be taking turns on weekday nights (maybe some mornings), and only intermittently on weekends just because of having plans and stuff, and I might only decide to have 2-3 games going at once, so if I don't accept a game request, don't get mad, k?

I've also barely played, so will likely suffer defeats. Many of them.

The poor Cloaks aren't doing so great this time, Pacman. As others have said, they can be pretty hit or miss. Well done with the Jungle Elves though.

Doesn't help that I had a whole turn planned out and double tapped the end phase button to skip through the event phase and missed out on a key card. The lack of an undo feature boggles the mind.

Seems like 75% of the games I am playing lately are against the Cloaks. And I'm not quite ready to accept any congratulations for that game until I actually win :p

I know I had a couple games the other day where I ended my combat phase without actually attacking because I wasn't quite paying enough attention and hit done thinking I was ending movement. That is always painful when it happens.

Are the Goblins the least popular faction? I have just recently started my first game against someone using them (out of ~55 online games).

I played one game as the Goblins and, yeah, the conclusion was never again. Don't think I've played against one yet either.

Man, I am getting tired of playing against the jungle elves. Just lost a game to a guard common that attacks up to two spaces diagonally. I didn't even know that was possible. How am I supposed to defend against that as well?

Oh, and great game Hereafter. I was really sweating there at the end, I thought you were going to slip out of that one somehow.
