I was gonna get it but haven't done so yet. Feel free to get it for him. I think it would be good for any aspiring game designer to have played it. That game is tight!

You need sound. Speakers or a headset.

This is awesome

I've sent Liam's steam account a friend request, and would like to donate a game or two. I didn't see Dungeon Defenders on the list, so I'd like to throw that on to the pile, if it's age appropriate (I haven't had the chance to try it myself).

Wow, I missed this thread but I'd like to donate.
I'll throw some cash on the pile and you can pick out some games in my name or something, buy him a nice Razer gaming mat or sumsuch, Headphone whathaveyou

EDIT
Sigh, It seems my Paypal account has a lean against it. Limited access for some stupid reason. In the process of resolving this.

I guess it'll have to wait a couple of days. Does he have a nice gaming mat yet? I just got an awesome cloth Razer mat and I'd get one for him if you send me a mailing address.

Super Meat Boy sent.

So last night, I was at my parents helping them hook up a TV. My sister Owen came by, and I decided to tell her about this thread. I sat her at the computer, explained to her what GWJ was, and let her just read. After a few moments, her face was in her hands. She was crying. After a few moments, she collected herself, and asked more questions, wanting to know what she needed to do to help get the machine ready, if there was any software she needed to buy. I told her that the community had taken care of all of it. She looked like she was going to cry again, but managed to hold on. Then I told her about Teneman's offer.

Teneman saw this thread, and decided that what he could best donate was a break. He's putting my sister and her boys up for a weekend in one of the cottages in his medieval village. The donations to the PayPal account will cover her gas and a lot of the food. This community has given Liam a computer, and has provided a vacation, something Owen couldn't afford and desperately needed. But more than that, they gave a woman who has had a year from hell something amazing.

Thank you, everyone. You gave my baby sister some hope, and I can't explain in words how much that means to her, my nephews, our parents, and our whole family.

What a fantastic gift from everyone.
What a fantastic community.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Very cool. Props to Teneman and his Castle of Awesomeness!

Wow, that's incredibly generous and awesome!

I'm sure it's getting pretty dusty in the office today.

Also I note that someone had already got him Portal, so I sent him a copy of Peggle instead.

So, when do we rebrand this as "The first inaugural GWJ youth gaming scholarship"?

Ha! That would be an awesome annual affair!

Happy to hear she could appreciate it all And awesome of Teneman's offer as well. Kind of makes it a complete package.

@Trichy - how about creating Liam's Wishlist on Steam? There's probably a way to make it public, so Goodjers who are late to this great initiative (like I) can also chip in.

BTW - are you sure your family isn't related to these folks?

+1 to that. Goodjers rock.

Awesome! That getaway sounds perfect and much needed.

I love this place!

I've been lurking in this thread for a while, since I'm presently unable to donate, but I'd just like to say it's stuff like this that makes this community so amazing!

Thirded!!

Awesome! Sorry I didn't contribute more but I was sleeping whilst all the finalising was going on - damn international timezones! Why don't you Americans just work in the dark?!

That is awesome! Teneman, you are so amazing, I'm glad that the whole family gets something out of this.

I wanted to mention that I'm glad your sister was okay with all of this, trichy. Random acts of kindness can be a little weird to accept sometimes.

It's fun to give and fun to receive! Definitely a win/win situation. I suppose the cat's out of the bag now since she's aware of the thread, so you are welcome, trichy's sister! Sounds like you and your family are very deserving of this random gift. Thanks for letting us have fun.

Steam friend invite sent, scanning game list to see what he still needs...

You guys are awesome. Great Job

edit - I missed it, did someone donate the sparkling pony game?
