Steam Summer Sale 2012 Gift-All

Train Simulator 2012 at 90% off is almost worth it for the giggles alone.

I can imagine playing the West Midlands expansion and your soul just slowly draining out of your body until you're found in front of the computer - grey and unblinking.

Perfect. This guy at work takes the train from Philly to NYC everyday. I'm going to buy it for him so he can virtually ride the route while riding the route.

You got trains all in your trains, yo!

I woke up to find Torchlight as the community choice discount. Yay! Does anybody happen to have an extra copy of Dungeon Defenders?

Here is a question? What is the most offensive and least fun game you can buy on steam? I am really looking for a game that is not fun.

I would like to buy Q-Stone a present...

Drug Wars has an metacritic 35.

Edit: Revelations 2012 is catching all kinds of flack for being a low quality mod that has a price tag for some reason. That one is just kind of sad though.

Pretty sure I had Drug Wars on my TI-85.

If I am not mistaken Rogue Warrior is the lowest rated game on steam. Or one of the lowest. Its a 30.

Actually; Flatout 3 is the worst rated by Metacritic at 23. Postal III is a close 24 (and my vote for most offensive and least fun).

Brain go pop now...

In other news, it appears I now have 20 Steam friends who own a certain Pony game. I think there was only three before all this horseplay ensued. I can claim 6 of those hits, but this is gaining some serious momentum.

Looks like we may need a SotMC catch all afterall.

I want you to imagine right now I'm not at work and have just mocked up a picture of xzibit in a railroad engineers' cap and posted it here as a hilarious visual gag.

Got that? Cool. Thanks.

So what are you still waiting for to go on sale? Personally, I'm still waiting for Witcher 2 and Alan Wake on 75 percent.

Endless Space.

I'm not optimistic.

Witcher 2 is 50% off at gog.com right now. And if you buy it from them you get the nekkid pictures of Triss. Just sayin'

Look out, next guy.

I had $1.66 in my Steam Wallet, and you were playing a horse game already. It fit.

Don't worry, guys. I'm taking a bunch of my old 360 and PS3 games to Game Stop tonight to get a Steam card. My fiance authorized $50 for the sale, which is gone, but that doesn't include her standing rule that I can sell old games to get new games.

I hope y'all voted for Driver: San Francisco in the latest round, AMAZING game.

What the hell double post? Sorry y'all!

No cap, but this should work.

I did. I hardly ever play racing games, but this one has me curious.

Oh come on, you jinxed it! Stupid-ass NFS won.

Sins. Top of my wishlist. Out of my budget.

... Wow. That would be a really quick way to stop being my fiance. The fringe benefits must be fantastic!
EDIT: Huge winking smiley implied that may not have translated to the tone. (And this is why I've maintained a firm separation of budgets with my cohabiting GF. I get to frown and shake my head at her Purses and Shoes and she gets more time to watch her girly flicks on the big TV while I'm in the study refreshing the Steam sale. Everyone wins!)

Thanks to Falchion for a copy of Gal Civ 2, I've been meaning to try it out for ages!

Wow. Thank you MrAndrewJ for the fine gift of Audiosurf!

I doubt it ever happening but I'd sure like to see 75-80% drops on:

Skyrim
COD-Modern Warfare 2
COD-BLOPS

Skyrim's too new, and the others are just very, very unlikely.

One of my many oddities is that I only want to play the single-player missions of the Modern Warfare titles, and given how sparse they'll be I am not willing to pay much for them.

Sanctum:Killing floor, did they add zombies?

Edit: Titanus check your steam.

Woke up with a similar gift from Eldon, but a different item in Sanctum. Thanks for one of those nice gifts you never expected and wasn't looking for, but will be a fun new toy. I'm like 2 or 3 levels from the final one, last time I checked.

Thanks Garrion333 for Anomaly! I've been interested in this for a while so it's much appreciated!

I'm waiting for an amazing indie bundle in which I don't already own half the games from various Humble and Royale bundles.

For some reason JC2 isn't showing up on my Games list, so I can't install it. It shows up on my account list though and on the product page it shows Play Now because I already own it... Any tips?

Yeah, not to mention the fact that all three of them have been at -50% this sale, and will not go lower, probably until Christmas.

What happens when you click Play Now?

MilkmanDanimal wrote:

I will simply say if you don't own Just Cause 2, I question your humanity. It's stupid, ridiculous, ludicrous amounts of fun. Helicopter shooting at you? Fire your grapple gun at it, zoom up to it, throw out the pilot, and fly away. Want to go somewhere? Fire your grapple at a car, ride on top of it for a while, then jump in, drive it off a cliff, bail out, deploy your parachute, land on military base, fire rocket launchers at all the guards, steal fighter jet, aim it at the ground, bail out, deploy parachute again, land on skyscraper, get tired of guys shooting at you, use grapple to pull each of them off the edge of the skyscraper as they scream all the way down.

Seriously, this game is loads of fun. Epic loads of fun, on my short list of "most fun ever". The story itself is paper-thin (and really quite short), but the game is really the answer to the question "what could I do if I had a super-awesome grapple gun, a constantly-deployable parachute, and a huge island full of stuff that explodes".

So it's like Saints Row with a grappling hook?

Nothing at all. Can't figure this out. I thought Steam was down. But I restarted and relogged several times.

I jinxed it! Y'all had freaking HOURS to vote on it, ya bastards.

You're welcome MortalGroove!

Try playing Audiosurf with some of the music from Portal when you getty a chance. That was a bit of fun that completely slipped past me for too long.

Well, if you're positive it's not in your library, it sounds like it's in a queue somewhere, glitched. Depending on how long you've waited, I'd give it another 10 minutes, and then open a support ticket.

Here is a list of the Indie Bundles for the length of the sale.
