Steam Summer Sale 2012 Gift-All

Does anyone know of a soundtrack pack for Botanicula?

If you didn't get the Steam sale on Walking Dead, it's now $15 @ Amazon.

I know the humble bundle came with an art book, but I've never heard of a soundtrack anywhere.

minorityrecords.com has downloadable, CD (possibly), and vinyl versions. The humble indie bundle had botanicula with the soundtrack. I bought 3 copies of the vinyl. Gonna give the black one to my brother and keep the colored ones.

I'm assuming Steam doesn't have it bundled in since you are asking.

Sanctum was a good thing for me. Now my son and brother can join me for multiplayer.

If I'm in the kind of guy who once got a tattoo of a pegasus, would Secret of the Magic Crystals be a game that appeals to me? It seems to be very well loved around here. Please enable/disable.

I have actually been playing GTA4 recently, and even though Red Dead did shooting better (I never played L.A. Noir), I think it still holds up generally. The driving is way better than the driving in GTA3

Wait. Am I confused? I seem to remember the driving in GTA3, VC, and San Andreas working pretty well, and the driving in GTA4 being one of the few things that reviewers were negative on when the game first came out and they were all falling over themselves to give the game 10s. I could have sworn that at least one of them even said that the only reason the game didn't get dinged worse for the driving was the availability of the taxis to drive you everywhere.

Am I losing my mind or am I just remembering completely incorrectly?

The driving in GTA 4 handled a lot more like an actual car, which made the handling kind of finicky. Didn't bother me, and I kind of preferred it.

Awesome! That's what I was asking. And thanks for the link as to where I can find it. I want the vinyls in the worst way, but I couldn't play them now. Gorram fiscal responsibility.......

Wasn't it $15.99 on Steam?

Trying to check that Steam Game Sales site but apparently word got out and its' crushed under the weight of the sale.

Of course it would help if they didn't auto-select 5 stores and try to immediately pull prices when you load up the page.

I voted for Far cry 2 since I don't have that one.

How is Shoot Many Robots?

I assume there's shooting of robots. But is it fun? :D

You shoot a ton of robots... you get many loots. you jump many platforms. As a redneck. I found it pretty fun. You will have to replay levels to grind and buy better guns and gear, but I found it enjoyable.

I came here to check on SMB after seeing it was from the borderlands/brothers in arms/mass effect people and I didn't like any of them. I'm going to pass after reading about grinding.

No, I think it was $14.99.

*gets ready to throw goodies into the air*

I ask the GWJ community to vote for Torchlight so I can buy it and Garion333 sends me a copy anyway. What a guy! To the top of my pile it goes...

This is a tad off topic, but since I'm in the giving mood (and because I don't currently have access to a windows machine) I have a RaiderZ beta key (whatever that is) and an Offensive Combat beta key.

Raptr rewards that I will never use...

PM me and I'll send it (them) to you.

stay away from raiderz... it sucks worse than rotted bacon.

It's kinda like Secret of the Magic Crystals.

Looks like you dodged a bullet there... Couldn't find you in a browser based Steam Search.

Which is probably why it's a raptr reward. I had no idea what it was.

I was threatening my 9 year old earlier by telling him he could have a steam account as long as Magic Crystals was the first game he got and he had to complete it before he got any more.

I am awful.

That's not necessarily mutually exclusive.

This thread reminds me how I need to add more steam friends.

Anyone up for gaming with recent new Steam sale purchases feel free to look me up! I'm always ready for some co-op gaming.

Wolfen Vic, many thanks for CS: Global Offensive!!!

I voted for Far Cry 2, for two reasons:

  • Idle Thumbs
  • I was driving an old hoopty through the savannah, when I saw an airfield on my map. I thought there might be a plane there, so I decided to check it out. As I got closer, someone shot at me from a makeshift sniper's nest in the open-air control tower. I gunned it, came up over a ridge and drove through some poor guy's chest before hitting the tower. Ran up it as fast as I could, stabbed the sniper in the crotch until he died, and took his Uzi and rifle. Someone I'd missed on the ground was taking shots up at me, so I dropped a molotov on him and turned my attention to the airport. I checked again a few seconds later to find the giant acacia tree behind me going up in flames.

Back to the airport, enemies start scrambling to find out what's going on. One guy is running backwards for some cover while keeping his eyes in my direction. I pop up my scope, give him a bit of lead, and fire. Too much lead, and I miss him by an inch... and hit the giant propane tank behind him, which shoots out a jet of flame, setting him on fire. He runs around a bit, and knocks over an explosive barrel before dying in a small grass fire he's started. That grass fire ignites the barrel, which explodes and rockets off toward the road on my right, directly into a jeep filled with assholes coming to ruin my sh*t, killing all of them in the ensuing explosion. The fire then spread toward the airport, quickly cooking the two remaining enemies.

There was no plane, I burned down half of Africa, and I could probably never recreate it in a million years.

Anyone want to enable me on Metro 2033? I'm handicapped and can't decide for myself.

It's real good. Good luck, though, it's really easy not to like.

The almighty Koz has every so graciously gifted me a copy of Stacking. Thank you, sir!

And uh, I didn't pre-order Torchlight 2 yet, but I still somehow have a copy of Torchlight 1 sitting in my inventory. Friend me up and/or send me a tell if you'd like it.
