Steam Summer Sale 2012 Gift-All

I'm seeing Fray in the flash deals section, but I'm not sure that's right. It's only 25% off and clicking through to the store page it's not labeled as a flash deal. Anyone else seeing this?

Seems to be updated to 50% off now.

EDIT: But it's metacritic score is 32%. STAY AWAY!

First: Thank you misplacedbravado for Frozen Synapse Red, you magnificent juglans regia, you!

Like I said, I owed you one.

On another subject, I'd like to call attention to the fact that acetate3 offered up two copies of Terraria a few pages ago, and thereby (IMHO) deserves to be considered a notch above the usual coffee grinder.

Wow I'm dumb. Just accepted a gift and forgot who sent it--I think it was acetate3 though. Thanks for Terraria! I had seen that out of the corner of my eye, and was indecisive about it. Love it when others make these tough decisions for me.

Looks like Mao gets it by a hair. Sorry, soonerjudd. Next time!

Edit: Ah, what the heck. It's St. Swithen's Day, after all. Orcs Must Die for the both of you!

I wasn't planning on buying, just curious on how much the actual discount was - or if there was a different game on sale altogether.

And thanks for the offer hbi2k!

Saw this on my steam blog : m0nk3yboy wants Secret of the Magic Crystal (see wishlist).

What a comrade! Shots of three-lizard liquor for everyone.

$16 for Witcher 2. First, and hopefully only purchase of this evil sale.

Send all unwanted gifts to renowned digital hoarder Bonus_Eruptus. Hoarders create jobs for pickers, auction kings, storage warriors, pawn stars, and psychologists, so you'll be directly stimulating the economy.

I bit on The Witcher 1 (because Witcher 2 isn't available on my macbook) for $2/50. We'll see if I can get into it. I almost picked up Back to the Future, but it was still a bit too pricy for me at the moment.

Huge thanks to hbi2k and Mortalgroove for Orcs Must Die! Mortal, hbi2k beat you to it, so yours is on the way back. You guys are awesome!

I blame a combination of iPad touch screen accessibility, and over excited daughters clambering to see the pictures of the Magical Ponies... (honest).

Honestly, The Witcher 2 was really the only thing I was hoping would hit a major sale. Everything else on my list is either a second copy, games I can more or less wait on for a major deal, or stuff I don't expect a major sale on since it is too new. I may have very well finished my sale today.

...come on, we know that's not true.

I was really happy to see Witcher 2 go on sale. I've put just 3.5 hours in the first one this week and there's a cool atmosphere about it that I dig.

Also, I cannot recommend Orcs Must Die enough. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. There's just something about catapulting orcs into firey pits of lava as your other traps slice, dice, and crunch their buddies. It also reminds me of Army of Darkness... both the humor and the sort of fantastic glee of it all.

Wow.

So I came home tonight grumpy because I had to work on a Saturday and I find that Natus had gifted me with Orcs Must Die.

Many thanks, Natus!

Big props to soonerjudd for the gift of PixelJunk Eden! Been wanting to play that forever.

Due to conflicting sales, I have an extra copy of Pixeljunk Eden to give away. First non-coffee grinder to post gets it.

Whew! Glad you didn't let that opportunity slip by!

Oh gods...my beautiful and pure Steam library has been violated!

The joke will be on him though, my sparkly unicorn will totally kick his sparkly unicorn's ass!

So is the Witcher 2 worth $16? I played the first one, but got a bit lost in chapter 2 or 3 in a swamp...

Anyone gift Wordsmytheeeeee with L4D2 yet? It's on his list, and it's a mere $5.

Wow, Civilization pack is on sale for $24.99 in the flash sales... Only ever played the demo of Civilization Revolution and then a few months of the Facebook game. Wonder if I should add that to my $40 pile that I'm holding on to today... Come on your dirty (brilliant ) enablers!

Wow; That Civilization Collection at 82% off is impressive. A great buy in if you don't already own the set. From what I see it's

Civ III Complete
Civ IV with BtS, Colonization, and Warlords
Civ V wth all DLC

It only appears to exclude the Gods and Kings expansion... which is what I was really hoping for. ><. But, at 24.99 it's a good price.

Which swamp?? There's at least 2. I found the first half of the game much better than the second, so if you couldn't get through the first half... BUT, I've never touched Witcher 2, so I can't speak on its behalf.

And a hearty thank you to Balthezor for the gift of Orcs Must Die! I will be toasting you kind sir as I do unspeakable things to their carcasses.

Yep, if I didn't already have Civ IV and V I would be all over that, that is a ton of good strategy games in one chunk.

I often wonder how good of a value packs like that really are, how often would people go back and play the older games in the series? It sounds like a great bundle in theory, but for a game like Civ without true "done" conditions....not so sure.
