Declare a Revolution Against Your Pile

Pages

We're half-way through the year. Some of us are making major progress against our backlog of title. Others of us seem to have ground to a complete halt (me). Regardless of how you're doing, keep it up!

If you're interested, m0nk3yboy, has the 12 month pile plan thread over here.

A quick reminder, in order to be considered "Pile of Shame" the game needs to be at least three months old. Otherwise, it's just a new game you haven't gotten to playing yet.

Also, if you are curious about some of the previous threads, Pick's of the Pile, etc... Please go here and check out the Google doc I setup.

Let's get on to the games!

This Month's Pick of the Pile is

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

You are not the only one not making much progress, buddy. I need to start focusing again.

Dead Space 2 for me this month. I am at 49/50 achievements, and I just need to do the Hard to the Core cheev to finish it out. This will be done this month.

Put me down for Warhammer 40K Space Marine.

I'm a bit Carpal-Tunnel-y, but I hope to finish Amnesia: The Dark Descent (PC) and Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky (PSP) by month's end.

Currently my 360 pile has ground to a halt, I just can't get the time (or the head space) I need for the big games. Even a 10 hour game seems like it would kill me at the moment.

Looks like it is the iPile for me again this month. I'll try and squeeze in some 360 stuff, but for now it looks like iOS for the win!

Escape from Rosecliff Island (multi)
Unstoppable Gorg (multi)
Infinity Blade (iOS)

LEGO: Batman (PS3)

Technically started last week/month, but should be done soon.

Xmen Destiny (360) has been completed and will be thrown in the dumpster shortly

Put me down for Chrono Trigger (DS), Mega Man 2 (PS2), Mega Man 3 (PS2). I should be able to beat at least one of those this month.

So, the carryover from last month will continue, but there will be more coming since I'm close to wrapping all of these up:

Uncharted 3 (PS3)
Enslaved (multi)
Deus Ex: Human Revolution (multi)

I'm finally getting around to playing Dirt 2, but as with most racers I doubt I'll have the stamina for the final tiers of races. So I'm going to poke my nose into the Witcher 2 again to see if maybe it will finally hook me like the first one did. Both on PC.

I haven't been dedicating to the pile this year but actually have gotten through a few games, so woot for me. I AM, however, going to dedicate to two games on my pile:

Zelda: Skyward Sword - Wii: I started this over the weekend and am definitely getting engrossed.
Dragon Quest IX - DS: I left this near the end of the story a long time ago, got distracted by too much sh*t going on in my life, and have been meaning to pick it back up. So, back up I pick it.

Uncharted and Enslaved managed to meld in a quick glance to Unshaved

Isn't that the European title for Heavy Rain?

Saints Row 2 and Breath of Death VII: The Beginning for me this month

Mass Effect 3 for me.

Please put me down for these:
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
All Zombies Must Die!
Joe Danger: Special Edition

All three should be multi-platform.

ACII took me 28 hours I think, and I'm only like 5 into Brotherhood right now, so I may not actually finish that this month, but I'll try. The other two are fairly short and I already have some progress so they will definitely fall this month.

I'll go with....

Arma 2: LOST (PC)

Just one bit of advice for Mega Man 2. Finish off Metal Man first.

I'll be continuing De Blob 2 as I work to beat it and get my first Platinum trophy pretty much at the same time.

Pretty sure I did that unless I opted for Bubble Man first. I forget exactly since I've been stuck on the Wily fortress the last two times I've played. Really wish the e-Tanks persisted across retries...

On the bright side, Mega Man 2 forced me to turn Game Mode on for my TV after a year of ownership.

Here we go again. Month seven and I haven't even beet that many games this year, I think.

Let us see if I can change this up for July:

Plants vs Zombies - playing it on the iPhone.
Rayman: Origins - so close to the end, I think I can make the last push.
Dark Souls - Why the hell not? Might as well strap on my boots and go full-on.

I will be putting Skyrim into my 360 and giving that an arrow to the knee, if nothing else.

Yeah, I've managed to keep my outbursts to a minimum by shortening my sessions, this achieved by quitting as soon as I start getting flustered. However, it being a pile pick, this could get ugly - and pricey! O.O

Yeah I dove back into Dark Souls on a platinum quest recently. Saturday I just had an hour where I was banging my head against a wall. Un-hollowed and summoned some phantoms to help, and even though I got past the tough part, then we got invaded and killed, so the progress was all gone. Just a complete waste.

Came back a few hours later and knocked it out the first try.

Sign me up for Fallout: New Vegas on the PC. I've got to get through the DLC and all of Puce's additions.

Well, huh! That was rather fast. I mean, it's a short game, this I knew, but that was very short. Plants vs Zombies is effectively put to rest as far as adventure mode goes. The rest is post game and I may revisit at some point.

Certainly makes me feel good to know one off this quickly! So much win!

Please put me down for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I'll be playing on the 360. I can't imagine finishing it before the end of the month.

Please put me down for following:

Dawn of War 2
The Old Republic (if I can't get er done this month I'm giving up)
Guild Wars Eye of the North

List should be updated.

I've spent many hours in Skyrim, and am trying to stick to the central quest line without too much side-questing. The exploration is nice, and I am enjoying my 2-handed NordGirl and her arrow-shooting abilities a lot.

I am plugging away at Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood on 360.
