No worries. No idea why she'd come up unknown, I logged her in shortly after asking.
Ok, I gave a misspelling, but even I can't with her name written in front of me. Super irritating.
Can you unlock Vet 2 with favor?
3000 Favor. I had 1408 TP from monthly allowances so I added another 600 and bought it.
There is a possibility I may miss one more session tomorrow night due to basketball. The draft starts at 7:30. They should be through the first 15 picks by 9 so I can probably do both from then on, but I don't know for sure so I thought I'd mention it.
I am going to bring a new character once people hit level 7, either a Paladin or Fighter. Any preference from the group? I figure a more tanky build would fit well with FourD's barbarian.
So, does anyone who regularly runs Elite status have an idea of how much spot you need to spot traps? If I use Fred the Mind Flayer, I can re-pick a feat and scrimp and scrounge to get my spot up to a max of 20. I'm concerned even that might not be enough, as my search is 20 and i regularly have to use the action boost to find the trap boxes. I can see the DC for disabling the traps on DDOWIKI (arg! 36??) but not the spot ratings.
If I wanted to pay my own way rather than mooch off of guest passes next time we do premium content, what's the most efficient way to go about it?

Not sure on the exact numbers, but I would never waste a feat to increase spot. Best bet is to get heroism pots, an owls wisdom wand and a +5 spot item.
Except that would only make my total 22, and just for the 3 minutes the Heroism potion lasts - or is that 5 minutes now? (the 20 I listed would already contain the owls wisdom spell I cast - which lasts 8 minutes currently). Elite level seems to presume you have chosen every possible bonus you can get. One of the door locks in Proof is in the Poison has an open lock DC on elite of 52! That means your skill would need to be 32 before a 20 roll would open it. Scary.
So I only just downloaded DDO last night on Steam and to my surprise I really liked it (I had tried it out in 2008? before free to play and was not impressed)
I also got the Half Orc Pack on steam. So I have a few newbie questions I hope someone can help with.
1. I understand that we can gain Favor points which can be used to buy items in game. Is this only available to high level players? Are they doable solo or do you have to complete the elite difficulties?
2. Earning Favor Points. Are they like daily quests you do? How does it work? On average how much points can you earn in a day with 3-4 hours of play? Asking cos if it is really slow, I'd be better off buying the turbine points.
3. I'm really tempted to Get the Drow or 32 point Char creation pack. Are they worth it especially since I intend to mostly do Solo on a Wizard.
4. All these adventure packs, are they simply additional content? I'm assuming there is in game content for all levels that's free right? So instead of grinding the same thing over and over, that's what the adventure packs are for?

Also, I am re-rolling safehouse tonight as a rogue acrobat. That will make me back off from combat a little as I won't want to be the 1st one in. This will let someone else lead and set the pace a little better. I'll still be able to take care of the traps and hopefully spot them.
Remind me when we play tonight, and I'll swap out a spell for Owls Wisdom. I've got Extend, so they're good for 12 minutes a casting.

Turbine points are the ones you can spend to buy items and stuff. Favor points are what you earn in game completing different quests that build up, generating Turbine points for you at the levels Arovin said.
Note that running the same quest twice doesn't earn more Favor (although you still get more experience on your character); only running it on a harder level gets more. Once you've ELITE'ed the quest, you can't get more favor from it. So building up to (say) 1750 favor might be hard, especially if you don't have any purchased adventure packs.
OK, what do you all think I should play, A Rogue/Monk Acrobat or a Ranged Bard I have both ready to go tonight.
A what or a what? how about the Ranged Bard, as it gets cures and is CHA based. I don't think we have a CHA based class in the group, do we? Plus the music could augment skill rolls, yes?
EDIT: not that I am currently obsessing over skill rolls, or anything
I think I decided on a fighter, for all the featy goodness.
Arovin, I likes the sound of that bard.
I vote for the bard. We don't have any dedicated CC, and bard buffs are always good to have.
We may not have a Guild Airship yet, but I don't see why we can't at least try this:
We have put together Release Notes for today's hotfix.
Please also note that we are offering a coupon for up to 900 Turbine Points worth of FREE airship amenities through July 5th with the code SHIP01, 1/account. Note that multiple guildies can take advantage of this coupon. We do apologize for the inconvenience related to this week's airship amenity issue.
I rerolled an Arcane Archer to catch up; I can bump the Cleric as well if it's needed.
What else is there that someone ought to grab?
Okiedoke.. I grabbed the following:
Kundarak Banker
Minor Constitution Shrine
Coin Lords Auctioneer
Training Dummy < Because I am blind apparently
Ok - I got:
Minor Strength
Minor Int
Minor Wisdon
Lesser Sonic Resistance (because it fit under the 900 point threshold)
I bought for the ship
Lesser Strength Shrine
Minor Dexterity Shrine
Minor Constitution Shrine (it's tradition that we overlap one item)
A somewhat rough run through a reputedly difficult quest tonight, but I felt like it was a good learning experience.
I think we should devise a system, either here or in-game, to specify who is who. I'm sure with all my character jumping nobody knows who I am when we play.
The characters I've brought to guild stuff so far are Orphax (4 Wiz), Aericke (6 Pld), and Hightower (7 Ftr).
Sorry I missed tonight, but I ended up playing hotseat Civ V with my wife.
I played the game of installation yesterday.. 30 minutes.
Urgh.
Anyway, this is base on which ruleset of D&D?
And, I don't mind playing any game, but for someone to get started, what class would you suggest to begin with?

It's basically the 3.5 set of rules, using the Unearthed Arcana spellpoint modification. Sort of. Loosely.
Any class can work, but I think the Artificer has the 'easiest' time getting through content if you are familiar with D&D rules. Otherwise probably a fighter is the least complicated.
