Winner.

I've been playing a bunch of Rebuild the past few days. It's a really cool sim/zombie game. Multiple ways to win and interesting strategic decisions.

Find a program called splashtop then just play diablo on your computer from your phone/tablet.

I've heard of Splashtop, does it work as well as advertised?

It's worked pretty well for me on my tablet. I have used it to play Diablo 3 a few times and watch movies from my computer. I don't know how feasible it would really be for a phone but its awesome on my prime. They make a special version of splashtop called splashtop THD for tegra 3 devices that gives you on screen buttons for various games.

I haven't tried it with games. It streams Hulu to my Kindle Fire surprisingly well, though!

Huh... I wonder if I could get ESPN3 to stream since they still haven't updated the Android app to work with Comcast, even though the web site (and maybe iOS app) do.

Splashtop came with my eee Pad Transformer. I like it a lot. Haven't used it for games too much, but it's great for keeping tabs on downloads or long installs. I actually used it to e-mail myself something that was on my home computer from my Mom's house.

So I created a Tiny Tower (it's free now) account for Mobage while waiting for Pocket Planes to come to Android. Anyone want to be tower friends? My Mobage account is my gwj username at gmail dot com.

Sent you a friend request. Tiny Tower's a good time waster while sitting on the crapper.

I just looked at your tower. How much time do you spend on the crapper? Did you fall in? Are you hiding from someone? Do you eat Mexican food for lunch every single day?

You know, "bath salts" don't have to actually be used in the bath.

I spent a lot of time with Tiny Tower when I was in hospital for two weeks with Prozac 2.0 in the special care nursery, so it has a place in my heart.

I just noticed Neuroshima Hex available for Android and it is on sale for $.99! It doesn't look like it does multi-player which is a bummer but still, gotta support the board game ports to Android so that we become a "viable platform"

Google has some longest day deal going right now. Several games for $0.99.

Anyone played Order & Chaos or Mass Effect Infiltrator? Both are in the sale and I'm kind of tempted by both.

I can recommend Dungeon Hunter 2. I bought it for my kindle but there is a version for Phones as well and it is very diablo like. A bit pricey though. They also have Dungeon Hunter 3 but I've not tried it out.

Thanks for the heads up. Been waiting for this.

NBA Jam for 99 cents is kind of tempting.

Although the last EA game I bought, the NFS mobile game, for 99 cents, won't let me install on my GNex. I think it also wouldn't let me reinstall on my Droid when I got it replaced for the broken screen. Pretty annoying to pay for something and then not be able to use it.

Whoa, when did they make a Mass Effect game? It looks cool!

I was just looking on a whim and saw that SpaceChem is coming to Android soon! I am super stoked. This would be the perfect way to play it in my book. It has always been a game I like to play a bit then let the puzzle stew in my head for a bit before the answer comes to me. Very excited.

Excellent! Although I just bought it for my new iPad last night. What REALLY needs to hit tablets is Everyday Genius.

Been playing Strikefleet Omega and it's a lot of fun. You have stationary capital ships that you call in and direct fighters and bombers on board to defend against fighters and stuff trying to take out your command ship. It's tower defense'ish in space. Very clever mechanic.
Also got Space Station: Frontier while it's free today from the Amazon app store. Same sort of tower defense in space, but it's a space station that you build a network of power lines and attach mining nodes and turrets to. Fairly tough ramp to the difficulty, but pretty fun.

That Space Station one has went from 4 stars down to 2 stars as the day has went on. People at Amazon do not appreciate pay apps with in-app-purchases on top of it. Can't say that I do either. An always free app that you can spend money on if you want to, like Super Stickman Golf or a couple others I have played can be pretty fun. But putting money up front and money in-app is a bit of a double whammy that I don't like supporting...

I'm not a fan of that scheme either. 'Course I just flat out don't pay money in any game. But since it was free, I gave it a shot. Having played a bit more now, I'm losing interest considerably. The build a spiderweb of power conduits to power turrets is a neat idea, but I don't think it was implemented well. It's a little too finicky about connecting stuff, and I keep ending up with mining nodes or turrets not connected to anything. So, diverting for an hour or so, but not a keeper.

Strikefleet Omega is pretty fun though. It's a bit tricky how they try to coax you into spending the special points that you don't' get replenished on every mission. If I had been able to look ahead at what ships are for sale I wouldn't have used any bonuses. Finally around mission 9 or 10 you start to get enemies that drop those and can earn them back. The bad thing is if you replay a mission to get a better star bonus, those special enemies don't seem to spawn, so you can't really grind that 2nd resource. Haven't tried survival mode yet though, so maybe you can?

Still I played through mission 14 or so last night and haven't earned up the 20 I need to buy the cheapest ship that sells for only those points.

Also it's a little disappointing that your personal xp and level ups only get you access to ships and some free build points that you earn every mission. It's a nice bonus I guess, but not worth using the double xp perk to try to get more.

I wish I could zoom out a little more on the main screen. It's a pain sometimes to drag the screen then try to drag fighters, and I'm always moving too far and not being able to grab one of my ships. Despite that little fighting with the interface I had a lot of fun with this one last night.

Dabbled with survivor a bit this afternoon and they do seem to spawn those megacred ships. At least on the first run. I didn't see a single one on the 2nd try. So if that's the case that they only show up on "first run" missions, the only way to farm them might be purposely failing campaign missions?

Yeah, I played some more survivor today and had 3 saucers show up. 1 in one game and 2 in another. They definitely don't show up very often, but they do show up. I can only get through about 60 waves at the moment. Maybe they show more often in later waves.
