Yes by 15 minutes.

Nicely done Glen Johnson.

Set pieces. The new threat to England.

Walcott in 'does something useful' shock !

Isaakson as close to it as usual.

Match of the tournament so far, I'd say. Just a joy to watch. England's third goal was terrific.

I am wholly in favor of more ludicrous matches like this.

In case anyone missed it...

Must admit, I really enjoyed that because of how much the Swedish players had been mouthing it off for the last few days. Not that England were particularly good, but Sweden are stunningly mediocre apart from Ibra.

And Isaakson wondered why City left him on the bench most of the time...a clue - he's sh1te.

Time to write England off that solid defences list

Indeed, it's getting shorter by the day. First one was an OG (and not going in unless it hits Johnson), but the marking at the second was atrocious. Nice to see John Terry organising the back four as usual, but I do wonder if Joe Hart could have come for it. Still, like they always say, if a goalie comes for a cross like that and doesn't get it, he's going to cop all kinds of flak.

"No, I'm telling Berto that you were worse than Andy Carroll. And you've got a stupid hairdo."

Really? All I could see of note from Terry was him chasing around Ibra like a drunk teletubby.

I'd much rather see Joe Hart boss around the back four personally... him or that certain someone who was omitted from the squad for some reason I can't begin to fathom.

The Terry remark was sarcastic...but I agree, the back four is missing that certain someone who's absence has not been explained.

"Oh Micah, where art thou ?"

lol, oh you.

You know I might hate City, but I can at least respect Richards as a player. I could never bring myself to respect Terry in any capacity. Why him? He's sooo.... what's the word(s), overrated overaged egomanical piece of crap?

I think the term you are looking for is

"A deeply unpleasant individual".

Or perhaps, bearing in mind his myriad acts of brutish wankerdom, from being part of a group of Chelsea players who made fun of Americans in a Heathrow hotel bar the day after 9/11, the casual racism of the Anton Ferdinand affair, the repayment of Wayne Bridge's generosity by banging his missus (although he did get well served for that in the press - Craig Bellamy's reaction to that in a post match interview is priceless).

His family are vermin as well - his brother Paul pulled a similar stunt to the Wayne Bridge one on a teammate called Dale Roberts who subsequently committed suicide. Both Adam Johnson (who went to school with him) and Joe Hart went to his funeral.

Hmm, maybe the original thought should be upgraded to

"A complete f*king waste of carbon whose existence is a blot on the escutcheon of humanity. The world would have been better had his father been a blowjob."

The beginning of the end for Mark Hughes, as far as City fans were concerned, was his attempt to sign the slab-faced dickhead during summer 09. Not only did it make us look small time when the wretch used us to lever more money out of the Peasant, but most City fans didn't rate him anyway - we'd had enough of Agent Les saddling us with Premiership garbage already.

Win or lose, I'm going to get really drunk tonight. Wish me luck!

Bonne chance, Poland !

If you're close to the stadium, within the UEFA perimeter: good luck finding a decent beer

Blimey, what's with the weather ? Good game so far, but I fear for Poland if they don't get one whilst they are dominating the play.

Russia out - how on EARTH did that happen. 27 shots to 7. Can't imagine their fans are going to be too happy with that...like I said, no spine, flat-track bullies.

Poland really needed to score in the first half. They played well for about an hour, but seemed to peter out and run out of ideas. Shame for the fans who were behind them all the way, but that draw against Greece seemed to knock a lot out of them.

Off you go mate, have a good one.

Good luck with the drinking. Really sorry to see Poland knocked out.

It seems that in Russia, tie breaks you.

Go Dynamo! Houston v Dallas on ESPN2 (and 3) right now.

Man, watching the first 35 or so of the Poland game, can't believe they didn't at least earn a draw.

Would have loved to see them advance.

For today, don't think they can manage it twice, but would love for Denmark to be the mouse that roared and pull off another upset.

Dimmer, if you'd sat through the second half, you'd know why they didn't get a draw, but I agree it would have been nice for them to progress instead of Greece, who I doubt could beat an English Championship team.

Yeah, I watched the second half as well, and Poland was definitely a different team. Don't know what the hell was said or done in the locker room, but it was obviously not well-recieved.

The point I was getting at (poorly, it seems) was that it seems impossible that Poland couldn't find the back of the net at least once (even by accident) during that extended spell of complete dominance.

Lewandowski hardly touched the ball in the second half.

I still want to watch Croatia-Italy, haven't watched Greece-Russia yet and then there are the two games this afternoon (and I can't decide on which of the two matches to watch).

Van Bommel is out for van der Vaart apparently so we'll get a look at what dave said they should do.
