Novaworld East - Here there be dragons!

OK, what kind of technological nightmarish wierdness is this?!

I can play just fine on West Coast, but East Coast gives me the "Ennumerating Session Error" and I lock up and can't get online at all

(I did email Nova Tech Support).

Tried everything to get on the server with you guys, DMZ, nothing works.

Oh, well, I guess I can always get further in Doom III

Man I bought Doom III and have played it maybe two hours total. I like the game but between that dude telling you he is going to kill you and crap jumping out at you every five seconds my nerves can''t handle it.

Hehe that happened to me when I played...
1)The Undying
2)Curse: Eye of Isis
3)Manhunt
4)The Suffering
5)Doom III

The list will go on.

But back on topic...
No sir, no similar problem here. Where do you live BTW?

Connecticut. Wierd, huh?

Found this while googling on your problem...

From http://www.squadsandclans.com/NUKED/

BADNEWS-BOD- writes ""I have two PCs with JOTR installed that could not connect at the same time after the recent patch. Once one computer would enter the game lobby the other computer would get a Enumerating session error or a NWEC42 connection error.

I am on a cable connection with a Netgear MR814V2 router. My first located problem was I had not set PC1 to DMZ server which I fixed. I then set pc2 port forwarding for port 32768.

With some help from a post made by Smack Daddy which had the same problem and a fix at Novaworld forums this is what worked for us...

""I edited the game.cfg file for PC#2. I had it begin searching and changed all references from 32768 to 32770 since it was working on a port range and not just the specific 32768 port (check your cfg file and you''ll see the range is quite large)

so I changed it to look like the following example:

mplanserverportmin = ""32770""
mplanserverportmax = ""32787""

Then, in my router, I for PC#1, I forwarded ports 32768 to 32769....and then for PC#2, I forwarded ports 32770 to 32787....

Now, I can get both PCs online at the same time again.....but I have not seen this solution suggested elsewhere for others having the same problem I had.""

Worked well...we also have both PC''s online at the same time.

I am getting the NWEC42 problem as well. This only started occuring within the last two or three weeks. Before that, I had no problem getting on the West Novaworld. Now I am locked out of everything.

It is extremely frustrating.

Newt, try this (pasted from my email from NL tech support) Now I can get on West but not east:

Possible fixes for this issue are if you have a Router or Firewall you
will need to open the Ports 32768, 49152, 64206, 7597 type UDP in the
port forwarding ranges. Also, try updating the firmware on your router.

Because there are so many different variations of firewall software
available we do not offer support on how to change the settings. Contact
the developer of the firewall or router software for assistance with
their product.

Also, if you have any form of Antivirus software like Norton or McAfee,
try disabling that temporarily while playing the game.

out for all of the servers. When I try to join a server I get
""Enumerating Session"" and game locks up, after which I cannot access the
internet for about 5-10 minutes. Game is updated to latest patch. No
problems joining servers for games like Battlefield Vietnam, Rainbow 6,
Battle.net, ETC
I have a Lynksys 4 port router/gateway with a built in NAT. Even
happens
when I go DMZ.

I am currently awaiting a response on why I can''t get on any East Coast NovaWorld Servers.

My friend, Romulox, is also unable to get on Nova World East. He swears a bunch whenever I mention playing on it. He''s not behind a router, he just can''t connect to it.

If that doesn''t prove how f***ed up NovaWorld is, then nothing does.

Thanks SwapYankee. I have already opened those ports, but to no avail. I''ve searched through the Novaworld tech support forums, but to no avail. Nothing seems to work. It is so weird, because it was working fine and then all of a sudden it wasn''t. I didn''t do a thing to my system . . . .

Email nova and ask them for the IP of the east coast master server. See if you can ping it, if you can''t it may be a problem with your ISP or something. If you can ping it, it is more than likely a routing problem.
